Great food! The lamb and chicken/cranberry pizza was delicious. The salad was just a $6 one from supermarket so 🤷‍♂️ overall 1 large pizza fed 3 of us well with drinks. Only con was overpriced food. EDIT: After thinking about it, I actually had to drop it to 3 stars. The food was seriously overpriced?

Great service! I love how the menus show the pizza sizes. I shared a large chicken and cranberry pizza with a friend and it was perfectly sized. I definitely recommend trying the sangria pitchers.

This was honestly the best pizza I've ever had. My wife tried the Hawaiian pizza and loved it. I tried the duck pizza...FABULOUS!!! We also had their potato wedges, which were great too. The atmosphere was wonderful and we found the staff accommodating, friendly and efficient. Located on the wharf near all the great attractions. I highly recommend One Red Dog.

Came for dinner tonight for a 30th. Lulu the person looking after our table was just so fantastic. Lulu made the hole dining experience a breeze, nothing was to much trouble even though it was super super busy, they even arranged a candle for the bday dessert. Thank you so much Lulu!! Huge asset to the team. Take care.

Friday night in level 2 lockdown is not the best time to see this place in action as I'm told that it is normally heaving. Small groups still zapped in and out for drink and food but there were a lot of empty tables and it was too cold to be outside. Service was prompt and attentive and we were seated quickly to keep the social distancing in line. They have a reasonable drinks menu but food is all about pizza with just a few pastas and snacks to fill it out. The pizzas are good and very filling but pretty expensive at @$25 for a medium size. I would not recommend the gluten free base as it seemed to be made of cardboard and wallpaper paste. Seriously, you can get some really good gluten free pizza bases now, but at an extra $3 this was pretty bad. Desserts were fabulous if you want that massive sugar rush and the Jaffa tower was impressive. At $125 for 2, this was not the cheapest dinner but it has a nice atmosphere and it's close to the CBD. In summer this is an easy place to recommend. In winter during covid 19 it was a nice night out I was happy to have, but maybe not somewhere I would rush back to.

We ate at this venue as part of our social dinner for the Beyond Stuttering - McGuire Programme Event. Great Pizza and starters. Amazing value for money for their set menu. We were all extremely well fed and had excellent service.

One Red Dog has been a regular spot for work outings for me for the last couple of years I must have been several times. The staff are friendly and prompt, even when they're busy, they usually give you a good indication of how long things might be. The food is excellent, their pizzas are well worth it, rated the best in Wellington by a lot of the people I've been with. The Some Like It Hot is fantastic for those who like a bit of heat, or Three little pigs for meat lovers and there's a few good vegetarian options I forget the name of. They have a decent beer selection too! They have a decent bar so you can also get a pretty good cocktail drink too if that's what you're after. Toilets are usually pretty tidy and clean.

Conveniently located near the wharf, but not on the front line. It's great to sit outside on a sunny day as the wind barely hits being blocked by all the buildings. The atmosphere is casual. The food is great and they have a decent menu from pasta, pizzas and other smaller items. They have friendly staff. The price is expensive but the quality and portion of the food is excellent as well so it equals out, although they are a tad slow at dishing food out so expect some wait at peak times. Ignoring these minor issues, I would definitely still recommend eatting here.

Very nice food especially the pizzas. The salads are very refreshing and we'll made. Accommodates vegetarian and gluten free diet requirements well. Staff are very friendly, helpful, quick, and efficient. Drinks menu is extensive and reasonably priced. Has a good range of craft beers, particularly from Tuatara. The only downside is that when the place is full, it gets a bit too noisy, but this is not an issue when the French doors are open. There is a great outdoor area for those who like to dine al fressco.

These guys are superb! Like, seriously the best! Food is delicious. But not only that, we had ordered and paid for dinner from somewhere else and when we got there they were closed!!!. So we go to One Red Dog (our favorite when in wellington anyways) and tell them our story. Not only do they give us a free drink to help us de-stress while we waited for our food, they also gave us a free garlic bread and wrote us a lovely note on the inside of our pizza box!! Amazing service - above and beyond. Thank you for saving our night! We will certainly be telling everyone we know about this!

Great place for kid our 2 year loved the pizza

One Red Dog is a favorite spot for us, family friendly and the quality of the food and service is excellent. Photo is of the "Pluto" kids pizza (whats left of it anyways). Easy parking, on the water front, what more could you need? Lots of beers too!

Family and myself really enjoyed the pizza's, can get noisy if you looking for a quite place to eat. But we enjoyed it. It was a relaxed atmosphere.

I came here with my husband and children tonight. The pizzas we got were super full of flavor and would be a cheese lover's heaven! Unfortunately I couldn't eat my pizza, i didn't realize how generous they would be with the cheese and I personally can't handle so much goodness, makes my tummy sore. My husband ate his and said he would help me with mine but he was too full off his own one. I was very upset because I dont send food back unless its actually awful and the taste was awesome, it was just me. I was almost in tears when we had to tell the staff. They were so understanding and took my meal off the bill, I still feel so bad. They asked if they could get me anything else to eat but I was so embarrassed I just couldn't eat anymore. We will definitely come back again but I will have a pasta next time. And thank you so much

Good food and service, recommend the pizzas. I have had almost all of them! Take an extra layer, can be cold in the restaurant. Loud at peak times.

The meals doesn't come in a big amount, but the price is a little bit higher then it should be.

We went here for our Christmas lunch last week. They recommended pre-ordering our food, as they had a couple of big tables coming in around the same time. This was much appreciated as it meant our food came out in good time. I had the margherita pizza with garlic and chilli, which was absolutely delicious. The staff are so friendly and accommodating with requests on the phone, they made it all very easy, despite having a relatively large group (about 8 people). I highly recommend the pizza here.

Service and Greeting by Victor 😁was super friendly and lovely...our waitress Fern was super attentive, lovely sweet and polite..Service top-notch!!! Will be back. I ate here with my family the same night as the fireworks display in the harbour. Service was terribly slow, though pizzas and sides were pretty good when they finally arrived. 30 mins prior to the fireworks display I joined what had become a long queue to pay the bill and was still standing in the same line 20 mins later. One staff member mentioned that the cashier had to manually enter each bill when you paid, and split bills power table greatly slows down the process. Add to that the reluctance to open the bar till to service those in the queue added to the frustration. . I couldn't fault the staff, only the manager who failed to recognize the needs of his customers and restaurant. I won't be eating here again, food was too slow, paying for the food even worse, manager incompetent. Shame cause the food rated.

Not only is this restaurant in the perfect location but the food is full of flavour and very moreish! The staff are fantastic and honestly make you feel welcome and at home. Thanks for an enjoyable experience 10/10 👍👍👍

Never been but my BFF Phil Whittington highly recommends the chicken, cranberry and brie. Best pizza in Wellington he reckons.

The food was really good fresh, light and tasty. The waitress was fantastic. Then we waited 25 minutes for ice cream with chocolate sauce and jelly. Upon paying and waiting to speak with the manager (to remove ice cream, we didn't receive), and give her some feedback *I.e.. "you could have had a free table, cleared and set 25 mins ago if someone could've of scooped ice cream into a bowl". The response "the chefs have a process and its out of our hands, we don't have a separate dessert chef" was poor. We understood, we were providing feedback an appropriate response wouldve been sorry for the inconvenience, we will feedback to the kitchen staff, not debating the obvious. Otherwise woyldve got 5 stars.

Big portions for the price and a nice atmosphere😊

We had a lunch there. Service was quick, the pizzas were good and sliced if you want to eat them like at home. The pizzas's choice was surprising and it was tasty. The harbor view is just amazing. Children are welcome. It's easy to find a car park around. So we had a good time, this is what we were looking for.

A nice place with friendly waitresses. The menu mainly featured pizza but here were alternatives. I had the lamb salad and though I like onion, there was way too much for me to finish. It was still a well made salad in my opinion with generous portions of everything except the lamb. Not to worry. The side order of chips came with aioli and tomato sauce. Yum.

Wide range of pizza and pasta choices include vegan as well as vegetarian options. Nice outdoor seating ideal for enjoying sunny days. Reservation is recommended. Good for groups and celebrations.

Great outdoor area sheltered from the southerly gets good mid day and early afternoon sun. Above average pizza and good beer and wine list . I love the mussels

This is a nicely informal restaurant on the water front. A great range local beers was a surprise although the rest of the family appeared totally indifferent to this. The pizzas were really really good and had some unusual combinations (cajun chicken & avocado) - if it had a wider range of pasta dishes then it would get the 5th star

We picked a very busy night the netball was on we got seated quickly orders taken and food arrived within 20 minutes. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Pizzas were a bit by all the family. Will Be going back for more!

Amazing food! Went and got the tomato seafood pasta and it was to die for. Decent portion sizes and fairly priced, not to mention that wait time was negligible and staff were pleasent too. Had a welcoming vibe, didn't feel too high end where you have to wear your best suit and didn't feel to hori either, just a comfortable atmosphere to dine in. Overall a very pleasent experience, I would highly recommend people to visit this establishment and definitely plan on coming again in the future. Ka Pai!

I had the best 21st party here that I could have dreamed of and it was exactly what I wanted. The food was incredible, service very efficient, and all of my request were fulfilled. Communication between myself and the staff, including the general manager Mitch, was speedy. All of the guests very much enjoyed it and I highly recommend One Red Dog as a fantastic venue choice.

Noisy. No good for a group as you end up sitting at a long table. Service good but they messed up one meal. Drinks good. Pizza very good. Entrees looked very good.

Delicious food but the wait (at lunch time) was ridiculously long (nearly an hour) even though the restaurant was nearly empty. The food was also incredibly expensive and our waiting staff were on autopilot.

After a slow disappointing experience at foxglove we settled in here for dessert. The staff were helpful, efficient and the service was great.

If I get to be down in Welly for a business trip, then I can't just stay in the office all day, so found this spot right close which had much enjoyed tables outside in the sun. They also had really easy bar starters like chicken tenders which were great for having a colleague chat without having a full meal. What goes best with that? Beer of course haha. While I was hoping to see at least one Welly micro brew on tap, there was only Tuatara but better than Macs/Moa at least IMO. The final kicker though was them offering us 2 extra beers bc they poured too many and they didn't want to waste them and I didn't want them to either haha

Went to the One Red Dog restaurant on Queens Wharf ,as a treat before the WOW pre show on Wednesday night.First time there with my daughter.Lovely friendly , family environment.No wait time for a table,as we thought this might be an issue ,with the amount of people inside.Service was exceptional,yummy food and drinks , within a twenty minute window of sitting down.Prices we're realistic for your money.Highly recomend The One Red Dog restaurant.

Dessert! If you're looking for a dessert location this is it. We shared the fondue, banoffee pie, brownie and pav - every single dessert was more than one person can eat - and absolutely delicious.
