Excellent and delicious 🤤 pizza ! I have been supporting their business for the past 3 years by eating pizza 2 times per week! If you like a thin crust pizza , this is your place! Don’t go any further! I literally ate every single pizza from their menu. That includes their specials when they had it. I have several of my favorites, but three the most ordered are Parma, Bufalino, and Marinara. Gorgeous crispy crust ! Always hot ! Even if you take it to go ! These guys are amazing! They are so efficient with orders! If I would be a poet, I would probably have written a poem to that pizza place. Because I am not a writer, I am keep eating their delicious pizza. I highly recommend you to try if you haven’t already! There is no better pizza than pizza pomodoro! Thank you for being there for all your loyal customers and running your business! I am pretty sure that my face has been in their little pizzeria too many times. Can’t help it ! The best pizza ever ! Thank you ! Forever yours!!!!

Good quality and reasonable price for pizza margherita at lunch. I had the pizza two years ago, not sure whether they still have it or not, and if so, O strongly recommend their lunch special! Only 10 bucks for a medium sized pizza!

You know I can’t take this whole pizza photo, Take the pizza and just go straight into my mouth. You must try it when warm The dough was so glutenous and savory. Also It is a woodfire pizza, these reason make me be a huge fan of Pomodoro Pizza. I really wanted to try Italian(Napoli st) pizza, ya it is, exactly it is. It make me satisfy, really love it, but the dough is little bit thin as I am thinking. Whatever, you should try variety Pomodoro pizza

So happy that we tried this neapolitan pizza, cos when we arrived here around 2:30pm and it was closed. Open hours on Wednesday was: 11:30am-02:00pm 04:30pm-09:30pm Every Wednesday is pizza day, so the margarita pizza is just 11$. So we feed the parking lot with another 3:00 hours for around 14$ and did a long walk in the park. And what should I say, it was worth the long waiting time and all the money we spend. It was one of the best neapolitan pizza in my life, I really love neapolitan pizza. It was an authentic neapolitan pizza made in a wood fired oven and the dough is crusty at the edge. What a pity that I’m now on the South Island, I miss the Pizza already!!! Highly recommended

Best Neapolitan pizzas in Wellington with excellent bases. My only gripe is that it's too easy to eat a whole pizza in under 5 minutes. It's that good.

Delicious fresh pizza. We took em down to the waterfront to enjoy. The dough in particular was very nice. Ordered the Capricciosa and was pleased with the choice. Best enjoyed hot!

It’s close between here and Pizzeria Napoli for best in Wellington. Try both, you won’t be disappointed. You can drink and order over at the free dive 50 yards away which is a plus as no seating offered

I don't usually write reviews but this time I will. I have been in New Zealand for a year now and ate many pizzas. This is the FIRST time that I eat a pizza outside Italy (or Montreal) that taste like the real deal. You guys, please continue to rock that boat with these deliciousness. I really enjoyed the Buffala and the one my partner ordered was very tasty. I'm sure all other pizzas are good because the dough is perfect. If you are reading this unsure to go or not, just...go!!!! (Wait time totally worth it.)

Five x Cheeses = five times weak at the kneeses Perfect dough, it's hard to find but you will find it here. This is the most important thing about a pizza and I will not have anyone say otherwise. The five cheese over a four cheese classic makes for five stars, an excellent selection. Would love to see some chilli oil available on the counter. For me chilli oil for pizza is like ketchup for fish and chips (available for free on request). To end on a high note service was speedy and the cheeky slice of my friends pizza was also super nice. Keep on feeding the good folk of Welly!

Best pizza I had in 10 years! Their online system was great, could easily add and remove ingredients. Delivery was on time. The best part was the flavor of a real wood oven baked pizza. Would definitely buy from them again whenever I'm in Wellington again.

Discovered this place a while ago when we were looking for a good pizza place like the one we know in Tuscany. This place offers one of the best pizza margarita in Wellington. The price is reasonable for a full size Italian pizza and the pizza backer is really funny and charming. Love this place! There are only two tables at the location. Most people order their pizzas to go. Up to you whether you want to have it here or to go.

The best Napoletana style pizza in NZ. Margherita Wednesday= can't go wrong. Get your pizza and then head to Goulding's next door!

I’m always excited to find pizzerias certified "Vera Pizza Napoletana” by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana because they’re guaranteed to be making authentic Neapolitan pizza, which usually tastes amazing. The pizza at this place is better than most in New Zealand, but it is consistently mediocre compared to all the other Napoletana certified pizzas I’ve tried in Auckland, Australia, various US states, and several of the famous original pizzerias in Naples, Italy. Here, the crust is the wrong texture— soggy, overly chewy, and somehow missing the usual outer crispness despite having the proper amount of char. And the meat and cheese toppings just don’t have that quality, authentic Italian taste. Admittedly, real Italian meats and cheeses are hard to get in New Zealand, but I have eaten them in other NZ restaurants, so it isn’t impossible. I’m disappointed every time I eat here, so this is my reminder to myself that there is much better Neapolitan pizza in Wellington, even if it isn’t certified.

At first we were daunted by the size of the pizzas but it proved almost frighenteningly easy to devour them, they were so good. We'll be back!

I’ve had great pizzas and service from Pomodoro (hence the three stars). But then I experienced a lousy visit, after which I stopped going, where the staff was first inattentive, then murmured something about me taking a bit long to decide what to order although there was no one behind me in line.

Excellent neopolitan style pizza. Soft crust with minimal super fresh ingredients. The tomato in the margherita was sweet and delicious. Prompt service and friendly staff. Definitely recommend if that's your preferred pizza style

Trust me when I tell you this is *the* best pizza in New Zealand, but definitely measures to the highest standard on the world scale (and I had pizzas all over the world, including Italy and NYC). Love this place!! Amazing pizza made super quickly. Really fun that you can see the kitchen and watch it get made as well! My favourite is their Parma pizza, covered in prosciutto. Every time I tell myself I’ll branch out and order something else but I never do. Yum!!!

As good as it gets. Truly authentic wonderful wood fired pizzeria from Naples ( where it all started, right?). Hidden away in the Eva St quarter, you can have it takeout or delivered, eat in ( two tiny and perfectly adequate tables for great people watching) or over at craft beer heaven Golding’s. The pizzaiolos are mainly Italian, the vibe professional and the tucker is Italian foodie feeling. Diverse menu - forget the desserts at your peril, also authentic. Go.

This has to be one of the best pizza places in Wellington, possibly further afield. It tastes like the real deal! Although they don't have space for you to dine in I've heard they have an arrangement with a local bar where you can take your pizza.

Yes, this place has great pizzas. The bases are worth eating, don't leave the crusts! Plenty of variations for the toppings, to suit every palate. Just check the opening hours if you're an out of town visitor, they're not open for lunch every day, evenings you should be fine though. You can order online to save a wait time, because they get busy, however there's a fair bit to look at in the surrounding area.

My cousin and I shared a few takeaway pizzas from this place. The menu was pretty small, but the pizzas were all high quality. The one with truffle and mushroom was incredible, and I'd happily make a point of ordering it again if I ever go back Wellington. As a nice surprise, the tiramisu was one of the nicest I've had - not too sweet and not too creamy.

Being 1 week in Wellington and ate there already 3 times. Their Marinara and Margherita are pure and true love! Every Pizza I ever had before is not worth to be called Pizza any longer compared to theirs. I would give a 10 star rating if possible

Fantastic wood fire pizza, so much flavor, perfect size.

Nothing special about the pizza with GF base. Added some artichokes on the pizza glad I did it otherwise for the price I wouldnt have a lot to eat. I guess it's a bit overrated. Not bad but not like it's spectacular or anything. Also one of the two young dude was super loud when he was talking to his colleague. Place is small could hear all of what he was saying. Service OK. His colleague was lovely.

Great Wellington Pizza place, perfect for take away dinners. The pizza was awesome, freshly made Italian authentic food. Staff were friendly when picking up, and we'll definitely be back again.

Extremely good pizza. It is Napolitan style - arguably the best style. Small shop front took a bit time to locate but worth every zig zag step taken to get there. If you're a pizza fan this is a must. A few tables allow dining on site.

Consistently excellent pizza. Wonderful dough, well-considered toppings and very reasonably priced for what you get. As a sourdough baker, I am in awe of their pizza dough! My wife ordered calzone and she said she will never get tired of it, my daughter ordered margarita which she enjoy and finished and I had a carne. The taste is so perfect that you will dream about it, honest to God the best pizza in the north island., as I have been to Auckland and have a go at some of the famous one in there.

Even thinking to compare their pizzas to Hell's ones it's just embarassing... Hell's ones are barely eatable, I don't even mention Domino's... Pizza Pomodoro does great pizza!! Maybe the best!! Pomodoro's pizzas have always been great, and they have stellar costomer service too. During my most recent experience, I ordered delivery on a pouring night. Unfortunately I got the delivery address wrong and the poor delivery guy had to wait ten minutes under the shower at the wrong address. When we finally sorted it out, he delivered the pizza with a beaming smile. I apologized for the trouble I caused of course, but the man had other deliveries to make and still had the patience and temperament to do his job enthusiasticly and professionally. I commend him for his behaviour and thinking back, I do believe I should have at least given a tip. Also, the pizza tasted fantastic. 10/10 great service, would recommend and would call again!

Super, super, super nice authentic Italia pizza. If you love pizza and are nearby this is the place to go. Would 100% reccomend to Buffalina. Very well priced for the area with way better pizza. Was it but hard to find as its tucked away down a small side street but was defiebtly worth it. Delivers and does takeaway.

I orderd a margarita pie and loved it! This was the first pizza I had in New Zeland and it was delicious. I am from New York USA and can be quite critical of a pie but the dough and the the sauce on this pie were delicious! Not to mention the awesome message the chef so lovingly handwrote on the inside of the pizza delivery box, "Buon Appetito Pizza Pomodoro Loves You"!! In reply I say, I LOVE Pizza Pomodoro!! and will most definitely go to Pomodoro when I want delicious pie with fresh ingredients made with love!!!

Best pizza in Wellington. The authentic Italian style is quite different to the usual pizza offerings in NZ. I usually love pizza with lots of toppings but with pomodoro, the simple ones stand out. I recommend the margherita or the cinque formaggi.

This is seriously the best pizza I've ever had... and I live in Sydney. Pizza Pomodoro's Gambretta pizza is just so freaking delicious. I crave it all the time and am so bummed they are in Wellington and not Sydney.

A little disappointed in the service. Arrived at 14.25. And the did want to do small size pizzas anymore (after 14.00). Can't seem to think of a reason why not. But that said the service was fast and the pizza was simply amazing.

Wonderful pizza, tasty garlic pizza, not really a dine in place at night as they only have two tables, but if you're lucky enough to get a table (we lucked out and one was empty when we arrived), then its a great place to dine, otherwise they do delivery/pickup too :-)
