Went there for the first time. Absolutely loved the classic margarita pizza! It was flavorful with just the right amount of cheese. Good wood fire pizza with light dough and not super crusty. Friendly staff, quick service, and they have outdoor seating as well. Highly recommend!

I've bought a lot of pasta from different places but this has a unique flavour and has made my week. It tastes amazing and filling. It isn't too overpowering. It's creamy and tasty and I did not regret it.

From my Facebook. If you are in Wellington NZ and in need of an excellent pizza I can strongly recommend Santeria in Upper Cuba St. Delicious. I often remember a pizza I had once in Venice. Yes I know pizzas are just pizzas but the light thin base and delicious topping always stayed with me. The one I had at Santeria made the same impression. Delightful staff too. I complemented the chef as I left. Charming jolly man who said he was Iraqi Syrian and had been in Wellington 20 years. And to my great delight spoke Aramaic.

Went with my son on a buy 1, second pasta free, on the night. Loved the food and waited to be asked if we wanted more wine, or if we wanted dessert. Nobody asked. Really disappointing. The staff seemed more eager to leave than serve us anything more 😞 When we were leaving, I asked one of the staff why they hadn't approached us again, and he just shrugged. Good food, poor service

I don't normally write google reviews and certainly not give 5 stars but last night I was over the moon because of our order from Santeria. My girlfriend and I wanted food but we didn't want to get Uber eats unless it was from Santeria but the store was about to close and it was 9:59pm, we thought to give it a go anyways and expected the order to be cancelled but to our surprise, the order was accepted around 10pm, made and delivered when the restaurant was closed. We both worked in hospitality in the past and can understand how annoying it is to get a last minute order, and the store didn't even have to accept it but the staff at Santeria did, and made a beautiful wood fired pizza and dessert. We just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that worked the late shift last night, it's because you went out your way to make our order that made our experience even better. The staff and the food are amazing, I'd give a 10/10 if I could and promise not to make a late order again 😜.

Not very busy on a Sunday, means ordering and receiving food was fast and efficient along with the friendly service. We shared the Antipasto for two and a chicken and cranberry pizza and loved every bite of it! Will definitely be coming back again.

Is good but not amazing. The place is pretty cool has a good atmosphere is cozy and warm inside. They also have a backyard away from the oven, drinks are quite cheap. Now the pizza dough is ok, to be call pizzeria I was expecting more flavors and better dough thinner that I got. Topping looks like good quality except for the ham wich is just shaved ham, The cheese is best ingredient on the pizza. They do two sizes, medium and Large. Prices are in average.

One of my favourite pizza joints in Wellington. Awesome vibe, decor, nice outdoor area for sunny days and also cool nights, with a funky wood stove fire for heating outback. Pizza is always served in good time, perfect quality of crust. Great balance of toppings... Not sparing but not overloaded. Taste and quality is spot on and always consistent. Recommend to anyone who's after a relaxed atmosphere for pizza!

Had a choice between Hell Pizza up the road and Santeria. This place won the flip of a coin and I'm glad it did. Ordered the Steak pizza and salad with beers. Never had a steak pizza before but it tasted really good. Walked out with a full belly and a smile on my face. The staff are attentive and friendly.

A great atmosphere, good prices and very tasty food. Highly recommend the roast rump steak pizza and others at our table ordered pastas and all found them very nice. We had asked for one of the pizzas ordered to come out with the entrees but it ended up coming with the mains - no huge deal. Waiters were also slightly inattentive.

Great pasta and pizza range. Beware of ordering a Margarita here though - they have both pizzas and cocktails with the same name! Really attentive staff, great atmosphere, and they do some really good deals quite often. I do think they could have a larger cocktail menu. Perfect place for a date night or a dinner with a small group of friends. Usually isn't too busy. Definitely try the gnocchi!

Their pizza is delicious (I recommend the salmon pizza that pairs really well with a pinot noir), the staff is very charismatic and the environment is the right balance of the right elements (love the candles, music is not too loud and lighting is cozy without being roo dark). I also spotted a table that had a dog with them, and being pet friendly is pretty cool. Would certainly go again!

This place is absolutely delicious. The appetizer plate with the pita and the hummus was so good I would have gladly ordered it as my entree: on the same visit. The pizza is also really good, but a large for three people I think may be too little. They even have desert here, but I had filled up on the appetizer.I would like to go back and have their other pizzas. The one we had was the chicken and cranberry one, which was delicious, but sweet and felt like another appetizer instead of pizza meal. The only reason I am not giving a five start is because it was my first time there and I need to go back and try out the rest.

The service at the place was all over the show . Four servers on and I watched a bunch of people walk in, the server weirdly went to the back of the line and seated them first then all the staff proceeded to ignore the people in the middle for ages . I was watching from a seated table - then the eftpos went down and almost all waiters seemed to get involved while these poor people haven’t even been greeted or seated . They ended up having to ask the waitress . Thankfully the pizza makes up for the shot show of a service

Great pizza and nice atmosphere. Went without a booking and had the option of sitting at the benches against the outdoor window or outside. Would suggest booking on weekends! Inside is really nice, the pizza oven has a beautiful sculpture above it. Music was good from what I heard. Food wise; pizza was great. I was able to eat a small alone and I was stuffed afterwards.Once I ordered the pizzas, I went back up and ordered 2 drinks and some fries. The drinks took a while to come out and when they did, the waiter mentioned there would be a wait on the fries. When they finally came out, we were refunded the cost as a kind gesture without us even having to mention the wait on the fries. Awesome service guys! Keep up the good work!

The pizza is pretty good, the prices are not astronomical, and the ambience is chill. However, they got our order (one pizza, with one additional topping) wrong twice, so our wait was long. It may have been new staff working ( our waiter looked pretty young and a bit unsure of himself) so maybe that's not the typical experience when dining here. The location is convenient (Cuba St) and it satisfied my boyfriend's goal of eating pizza in every NZ city we visited. 👌 I would recommend to anyone looking for a simple worried pizza at a reasonable price point.

Initially we were first in the pizzeria and started ordering for our friends who have (unbeknownst to us) special food needs which means they can't eat pizza 😳. The friendly staff were happy to make up a salad meeting their requirements. The pizza I had (half chicken with cranberry sauce and half meat) was delicious. The waitress was lovely and the soundtrack was indie-cool. Would go again if we weren't visiters to Wellington.

Personally I think that they serve the best tasting pizza in all of Wellington - and I've tried quite a few places in and around the city. Owner replied. great to hear. Covid scan is nearly invisible but this has been explained. Perhaps put it up on window laminated on the window inside so glare isn't a prob. Yes scan is optional but you could help by reminding everyone. while no media coverage, Wellington almost went into lockdown twice 4 weeks back. Lack of Covid app QR scanning could be difference to stop spread. Stop being a-holes and simply ask people if they have scanned. it helps. its not in this climate ok to just say - 'we dont have to' Small pizza is a rip off so buy a Large. bite-for-buck go the Large.

Well timed and efficient service with a smile. Table service. There is good variety of pizzas and drinks with many options for vegans and vegetarians. Pizzas are delicious and the serving size is pretty good. So are the drinks. Loved the Chai with milk. This restaurant offers takeaways. Reservations can be made in advance. Card as well as cash payments are accepted. Paywave facility is not available at this location. Good for groups, celebrations, family and kids. Can get busy during evening. Outdoor seating is available at the back of this restaurant. Could not notice wheelchair accessible seating or high chair in plain view at this location. There is no dedicated parking area available although street parking can be found around. Wheelchair parking is not available. Entrance is wheelchair accessible.

At Heaven Woodfire Pizza, they make pizzas the way they really should be made (in my opinion). The bases are thin and crispy and the toppings are minimal but delicious. Cook that combination in a wood fire pizza and you really do get a 'heavenly' result. It's a pleasant environment to be, particularly in winter when they have the fires cranked up and the delicious smell of wood smoke taints the air.
