Went there for Taco Thursday (all you can eat taco + drink deal). Ordered the vegetarian option. It was pretty simple in terms of flavor not bad. After 5 tacos I felt full so pretty decent deal! Also there was a variety of taco's that were given to us. The service was quick efficient, friendly staff, and quick food rounds!

Great buzzy vibe. Was a queue out the door tonight. We squeezed into the last two seats available and went for the all you can eat chicken wings and free Baja fries. The baskets of chicken wings just kept coming. Spicy then milder alternating... we had to admit defeat by the fith basket of chicken wings and second of fries... Was fun. Service was great, attentive and zippy. Huge selection of decent tequila 👌 Left happy and like we had an experience. Reccomend.

Wing Wednesday is just the best idea. Such good flavour, service was perfect. Friendly and inviting, really enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend.

Took the misses there for a birthday dinner. Exceptional service. Have been a couple of times and every time the staff deliver great service. Very happy with the meal value. And of course the tequila. Gave the staff a challenge to deliver a shot of something with a tequila I enjoy in mind and again got a great tasting tequila. Just what I wanted. Will definitely go there again for another birthday or special dinner outing.

Awesome staff and service on a really busy "All you can eat taco Tuesday" nice selection and but only really 5 true flavors not 10 advertised. Tiny nibble sized tacos we gave up on "2nd round" and filled up fries as it was taking way too long for service. Would be great on a non all you can eat night unless you got way too much time.

Food was very nice and staff were friendly. The only thing I didn't appreciate is that I ordered the fries appetizer along with SOME other folks in my large group. The staff delivering food paid no care as to who actually ordered fries they just spread fries dishes over the table evenly. We patrons assumed that the wait staff were delivering to folks who ordered fries but this wasn't the case. In the end I asked for my Fries order again only to be charged. Just the staff need to be more mindful when delivering the appetizers that they are actually going to the people who ordered them.

The food was nice, well cooked and presented beautifully but some of it was prepackaged and not made on site which was disappointing. Staff were lovely and attentive and the margaritas 🍹 and sangria 🍹 were👍

Hi my daughter and I last night went to this great and very friendly bar - the owner and his family were so hospitable- hard to find these days. The drinks were amazing . Highly recommend to everyone . Wish we had this type of bar in chch - or have I not found it ? Keep up the great service tequila joe. Thanks Kevin and Isabella

Got so excited for my food (and was slightly too inebriated) so I totally forgot to take photos but the food was amazing. I ordered the tacos venduras which were avocado and tempeh tacos and they were so good. It had the right amount of different textures and flavours; it was very filling as well. They are a small team so the wait time may take a little longer than other places but its worth the wait! Will definitely be back to try their starters and other meals they had to offer!

Me and my brothers went there on the "All you can eat wings Wednesday" and everything is a 10/10. Great friendly service, awesome vibe, and excellent food. Our mistake was we ordered a platter and starters so way too much food. Next time we will stick to the wings and fries.

My friend and I found this place online because we wanted to eat somewhere all you can eat — we called up and they were able to accomodate us at extremely short notice without a reservation. Small place but boy it has a great vibe. Staff were absolutely fantastic and attentive to dietary requirements. Staff were also very intuitive, quick and personal — which is hard to come by these days. All you can eat tacos $25 per head, also with all you can eat fries — amazing value. Will be back in a heartbeat after telling all my friends about this place.

This was the first place my wife and I went for food after we arrived in NZ for our start on our 2 week holiday. So pressure was on for this place to represent what Wellington's food scene had to offer, we were not disappointed! it was Taco Thursday night special for $25 each for all you can eat soft Tacos! there are 7 different types being 2 vegetarian and 5 meat type, its not your traditional taco you would think of however, the flavours were great and the mild spices were enough to enjoy each taco flavour without burning your mouth! the Margarita cocktails is a must try while you are there. my favourite was the ÚLTIMO LAS VEGAS, and my wife liked the BLOOD ORANGE & BOTANICALS. After few shots and a another cocktail or 2, the whole night was great with friendly staff. and short waits for our foods served. this place meet our expectations and some. we would recommend our friends next time we are back in town. just remember to book as early as you can as the place was packed and we nearly missed getting a table at the start!

Had the all you can eat tacos. I think pork was the best by far. They needed a little more sauce, I think. You can be in and out in about an hour - not so restaurant-y.

Awesome tacos definitely value. Great place. Only gripe was it was a little hard to hear the waiter over the music. Definitely book as very popular. Great choice of flavours and options. Teenage kids loved it. Sangria was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

What an epic meal. Taco after taco!! The restaurant itself is a snug lil warm environment. Great music and the Front of house staff were great. Only 1 out of the 7 taco's I didn't enjoy but I'm a meat eater through n through. For all you can eat plus a drink cost me $30 NZD and for that price I'll definitely KCB

A cool retro place serving BEAUTIFUL food! I have been eating Mexican food for 40 years, & this is GOOD! Lovely friendly people, reasonable prices-and worth every penny. Highly recommended!

We went there for the all you can eat tacos. They were really good but majority of the tacos were on the spicy side for me. The majority of us liked the Border Mex Chicken tacos the best. It was really busy when we got here so we had to wait at the bar for a while. But eventually got a seat, and the staff were good to us. It's not really a family friendly place. If your child can't sit on a bar stool then probably don't bring them here, as there are no kids seats. It's probably not the environment you want your kid in anyway. But the food was so good.

Awesome value for money with the all you can eat tacos Tuesday's and Thursday. We went on a Thursday, it was so busy we had to move our chairs to let people go to the bathroom, and the staff were doing their best. They were all lovely. Only gripe would be we weren't told what the actual deal for AYCE was, or how it worked when we ordered, but the tacos were great anyway. Would recommend.

We had a great time; went during happy hour and we put the barman to the test and tried out his shots menu. Prices were good value and although we didnt have anything to eat the food looked and smelled great. Recommend this place.

Honestly this was such an awesome experience. The food was incredible, but the staff, in particular the manager made the experience for us. Will definitely visit again when up from Christchurch again.

Quite pricey compared to other places I've been. I'm not a Mexican cuisine specialist, but it didn't feel authentic (maybe I've just had fake mexican food so far). Although their quesadilla was really good, it's quite average otherwise. It gets really packed for their all-you-can-eat thing.

It was a last minute decision to dine in at Tequila Joe's. They managed to make room even though they were fully booked. The service was simply amazing and the food was quick to be served. The flavors matched and we love every bite. Highly recommend.

Unlimited tacos were good. You get complimentary fries and must eat the tacos in order. After seven tacos if you pick a specific flavor the tacos end for you. Otherwise, you can continue forever if you don't mind following the sequence.

Went for the 'All you can eat wings' night and walked out with a full belly. They do rounds of different flavours with progressively levels of spiciness. The spiciest one was a bit too much for me but I everything before that was perfect. Warning: you will be licking your fingers a lot so be prepared. For the money I spent that night, I'll definitely go again.

Excellent food - the buffalo sauce on the chicken was brilliant. Attentive and helpful servers without being overbearing. Music helped really set the mood despite being on a busy street. Wow. Really happy with the meal I shared with my partner at Tequila Joe's. No reservation for Friday dining but was seated immediately in the compact restaurant. Friday drinks special was 2 drinks for $20, selection was made from a list of small but tasty options. We chose the Beef Brisket Nachos to share ($26). The queso was insanely good, plenty of food for us. Whole experience was great, thank you team!

Great bar with delicious food and even better cocktails. Generally a huge selection of Mexican and Texan flavors with awesome unique margarita selections. Lots of various beer options and the portions are really good. In addition to their huge selection on the menu the staff is super friendly, polite and patient if you can't figure out instantly what to order. Prices are reasonable for a night-out. Definitely one of the best places in Wellington to have food and drink with friends.

Atmospheric place, did the all you can eat Taco Tuesday. Managed 5 tacos and my male friends had 6 or 7 which is good value for 29$. I had a look at the menu and three tacos is normally 25$ but the menu tacos are probably a bit fancier. Would recommend as a once off bit of fun!

Went on Wing Wednesday when 6 out of our group of 8 had all you can eat wings. Was a great evening, and was well worth the money. Only small gripe was that as a large table, we didn't seem to get wings as frequently as smaller tables and it was only when we were about to call time on the wings that they ended up coming really quickly. I understand it was busy but just didn't seem to be an even distribution of wings throughout the evening. Would come back though, as Taco Tuesday has caught the eye!

Food is outstanding and service quick and attentive - don't be fooled by the lackluster decor. Portions are large - we ordered two mains and a side for two people and couldn't finish it! Drinks were fresh and bright; not exactly fancy, but fun and fast. Good value, but definitely worth checking to see whether they have bookings available on FirstTable to save some money.
