A.Amazing service of such a friendly and professional staff, and the drinks and nibbles that we had were great. Awesome bright environment as well which made for a great atmosphere. Will definitely go again!
D.I had the chicken burger and it might not have been the best choice. Medium size portions and in general good quality. The staff is friendly the service could be faster. They have a large list of on tap beers and a good selection of wine. The menu is not large so I expected more quality. But may be just my personal expectations where to high. A nice location at a central spot.
M.Popped in for lunch while passing time before a flight out of Wellington and had one of the best fried chicken burgers I think I've ever had. The Hudson has a nice vibe, there were people sampling whiskey, craft beer on tap (excellent selection) and as mentioned the food was bang on! Highly recommended!
李.Come for a lunch in Hudson today, try their smoked beef check. Perfect cooked and smoked well, with smooth and creamy mash and basil zucchini.
Their craft beers looks interesting, I will come to try next time.
s.THE GORGEOUS CAFE PETONE
This must be the most charming Cafe in Petone. The ham “sandwich” I selected was a delicious mix of ham, cheese, mustard and baby spinach warmed to perfection. The roll was more croissant than bread ... mouth watering!
Table water was chilled and infused with citrus slices... coffee was creamy and perfectly made. I couldn’t resist the choc lamington, and glad I didn’t. It was the most delicious lunch and I am already eager to return. Bathroom was modern, spotless and pleasant. My only criticism would be the slightly surly staff... however they were so busy I would be hard pressed to summon a smile too - although everyone did receive a polite “thank-you come again as they can left”.
A.Great beer selection, helpful, attentive bar staff, lovely looking venue that's seriously let down by it's food menu. If you want cold meat or cheese, you're all good, otherwise you'll find more inspiration on Burger King's specials menu.
K.American style restaurant with an equal emphasis on food and drinks. Many options on tap for beer/cider and an extensive wine list. Food was great quality, with aged steaks the feature.

This free house and stillhouse offers great New Zealand craft beer and an excellent range of international gins. This is all topped off with a secluded, upstairs whisky bar and excellent delicatessen.
The Hudson is a revamped and modern take on a British gastro-pub. The craft beer list is kept so up to date they don’t bother with menus, instead projecting the current tap selection on the wall. For May’s Hopstock festival, the Hudson is hosting Liberty Brewing’s best beers and absolutely spoiling Wellingtonians.
The gin bar has a spectacular range including Malfy’s delicious orange and grapefruit variants. Locals Denizen Gin also have high billing. If you’re unsure spin the $12 gin wheel and you’ll likely be treated to something new and interesting like The Botanist, Beefeater’s Pink Gin or a choice from the Handman range.
Bar snacks are also delicious with curved meats carved and sliced in front of you. This is all topped off with a great wine list and superbly welcoming staff.
The Hudson has a great atmosphere and is filled up when most pubs would be quiet. It’s a great option for Saturday afternoon drinks and cozy chats.
Go here for a warm welcome and enjoy sampling your way through an excellent range of good drink!
I.The Hudson is a nice cosy bar on Chews Lane close to many places in the city so not too far for those quick after work drinks. The food is pretty good but I haven't gone as far as the aged meats so will have to re-evaluate my score once I get a chance at those. Always great selection of beers on tap. Sawmill particularly good option
H.Really nice place to eat. Amazing atmosphere, staff were very friendly and constantly checked up on us, and most importantly the food was just fantastic.

D.Not a bad spot for drinks/dinner after work. Also quite good during lunch time. Friendly staff in a well-maintained facility really shows off its worth.
K.Nice place for a coffee, good vibe, coffee ok, and good place to meet and chat because it's spacious enough not to be too noisy, unlike some cafes where you have to raise your voice to be heard. Overall a pleasant cafe.

L.Neat, clean, modern environment that has a great ambience with the music at a great level. Friendly staff, not intrusive but helpful when needed. Great food, great cocktails highly recommended in fact I'm going back soon. This is not a criticism of the Co. per say but the acoustics aren't great so if there are loud people you'll be able to hear their conversation from across a large room.

Food is good and is made to order with fresh ingredients.
Decor is a nice airy elegance with modern touches while retaining it's historical core.
Staff are excellent, efficient and particularly good at recommending drinks if you feel adventurous.
T.Service staff were really nice and accommodating to my requests. The chicken burger was very juicy, and the chips were good as well even if they are not really the crisp outsides and fluffy inside type that i typically enjoy most.

A.Nice atmosphere and friendly service. They have a good range of beers. One IPA is only 2% and it tastes great, so it's good if you don't want to get drunk.

G.Only called in for a drink, so can't comment on the food. Wine list is average, but prices aren't cheap. Service was friendly but a little slow (it was fairly busy to be fair - but why only one portable EFTPOS?). Busy meant it was also very noisy; there seemed to be no air conditioning so it was hot and humid. Decor is looking very tired too.

I've ended up coming back here a few times as it has a really good balance between being a social place to come with friends and a quieter place to come as a couple.
Prices are actually very reasonable considering the location and there's plenty of seating should you be looking for a bigger table.

C.Little alleyway bar with a lot of character. Craft beers, great wine selection and nice food. Good all round, not in the Hussle a bussle but still an easy place to chill out.
