Great selection of very interesting beers and ciders along with everything else you'd expect I a good bar. Lovely staff that are happy to make informed suggestions regarding drink selection. Happy hour makes an afternoon meet with friends or colleagues comfortable. The outdoor seating area catches the afternoon sun, but shaded tables are available if you prefer shade. Background music is bang on my taste, laid back, slightly dancey and at a volume that just makes it over the traffic noise. Didn't eat here, but what others were having looked very good. I would definitely return as often as possible 😊 My kind of bar!

I Highly recommend the Tasting Room...The service was above and beyond, top quality cuisine, full of flavour, well presented and affordable...We had the Beef Wellington, Duck breast and Steak, everything was full of flavour, tender and juicy cooked to perfection...We had all 3 deserts to top it off, and wow just amazing, the flavours and presentation were of 5star quality...I definitely recommend the Skillet Brownie for chocolate lovers, (so satisfying)...Overall 5 star restaurant...Thank you for an amazing experience

Went here for Wellington on a plate.....burger was good. Great schnitzel with mayo, bun was awesome. Beer match not great, was American Pilsner, too bitter and hoppy God the burger match. Staff were great, good selection of beers, slightly too dim on lighting, hard to see what you were eating. Overall a positive experience.

The Tasting Room has the benefit of being on Wellington’s night spot strip but also slightly removed from the drunken mania of midnight Courtenay Place. The outdoor seating area means this is a great location for any time of the day or night - enjoy a drink in the sun from their excellent range of beers or have a meal in the evening or sample some late night tunes while watching the nightlife

Went for dinner and it was Devine...from the platter to the burger and chips and lamb meal (pictured) we definately enjoyed our dinner and the ambience and vibe were on point...friendly staff and nicely priced plus they have happy hour....daily specials and cheap lunches...definately recommend!!!

The fondue is delicious and bigger than we expected, it is more of a cheese sauce, but we loved it. We also had a vegetarian bread and dip platter, and a rocket salad with pickled fennel and pear. We finished with crème brûlée. Service was fast

Excellent food and extensive wine and spirits list. It has a great atmosphere and is nice and clean. The food is of a mixed price range, with something for everyone. We had dinner and drinks here with our grab-one voucher and we were able to order $60 worth of food/drinks for half the price. The food was decent and the portion size was good, however, one of the burgers and the side of garlic prawns were a little too salty. Other than that, the service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was great.

The $50 platter they do is to die for! Got two between 4 of us and it was the perfect amount of food coupled with some wines for us before we went to a movie. Good meats, cheese, bread and fried goods like jalapeno poppers. The normal menu is also very good on the few occasions I have eaten there. It's a place I would recommend both for a casual drink on the weekend and dinner any night of the week

Ate here last Saturday, food was good. Blonde girl with glasses serving us was very lovely and welcoming. Drinks took an extremely long time to come out and arrived after we had our food even though there were 3 girls on the bar, all of whom looked like they didn't know what they were doing.

On the corner of eastern CBD Courtenay place. Could have been a great place when new. Now virtually a down market sports drinking bar with internet computer young persons monotonous music playing as back ground music. Not relaxing restaurant music. Some Seating and décor on the inside has just been renewed with high tavern style wooden chairs and lean on and high tables. Outside tired and seating well used which needs renewing. Outside footpath tables with low seats which need to be higher for the table sizes, tables well used grease stained & unstable. Roadside area cheap long wooden tables & seating. Pigeons a problem as they roost on the underneath veranda concrete structure with droppings, & falling to the footpath & corner bar type ledge and seating. Seem happy to serve drinks only rather than food. Seems to be the trend for a lot of establishments. Beef wellington $36. Dinner menu small selection & pricey as they they do not have the decore to match such prices. As a result of equal pay and minimum living wage rising to $22 a hour for staff, main meals, entrees are on the increase with a lot around $40 plus vegetables & salads extra. Same with wine. Around $13 a glass for house wine $ 60 a bottle. Sunday brunch menu expensive with limited choices. Do not recommend the prawn cutlets, expensive 8 small prawns, by themselves dish which are Vietnam prawns or the spare ribs. Mince dish is more red kidney beans than mince on toast @ $12, poached eggs and scrambled eggs (2) only by themselves $10 expensive and not value for money. Coffee $3.50 plus, no loyalty card, a cup. Hygiene practices suspect. Staff changing frequently and not well trained in hospitality etiquite & not washing hands after patting dogs, handling money, and gather other customers empty dirty glasses around the rims & on the inside then carry on delivering meals and drinks without washing their hands. Don't mind all that and like watching blank TV screens with a beer or wine then this could be the place for you. Burgers, small size b buns expensive, bland, non tasty. Snacks also the cheapest ingrediences are used not quality ingrediences. Lunch and brunch inside one does not expect empty beer casts to be wheeled past by staff member dressed like a country tavern gardener wearing well worn jeans in the Wellington city central business district. Fridays they are pushing disco music aimed at the younger generation with the room really not big enough to dance.

We stumbled on this place by accident but so glad we did! we were going to go to sweet mothers kitchen but due to the lack of service we hopped across the road, and by far we are so glad we did because OMG the service was amazing! Aaliyah (sorry don't know how to spell it) was amazing! She approached us as soon as we walked in, handed us menus and a drinks list and we picked the perfect table outside in the sun. She gave us time to go through the menu and checked back in to see how everything was going. Such fantastic customer service and great view and a great place to have a drink and sit outside on a good day. We got the tasting platter which was so good! defs to big for two people if you are small eaters but bonus they do takeaway ecofriendly containers.

What an amazing place. Booked through the restaurant hub. Arrived 5 min late, completely our fault, which we felt terrible about. The staff were the friendliest ive ever encountered didnt batter an eyelid to being late ( when booking through third parties, some restaurants can be quite anti) and let us choose where we would like to sit. the food was AMAZING. Big portions as starters and the beef Wellington was to die for. Staff checked up on us to make sure everything was ok but not in that annoying way that it can be sometines with other places. Overall a beautiful place with friendly accommodating staff and beautiful food. Will be back in a heartbeat

So I had Poutine for the first time on canadian thanksgiving day. I'm going to have to come back and have it again ! WOW ! Great value and generous portioned tapas plates. Quick service and great location. We didn't make a booking (for 2) and were able to get a seat no problem.
