Delicious Pho! Great serving size for the price which is relatively cheap. Their rice dishes and bao buns are pretty great too! Will definitely become a regular here. Good stop for lunch as they’re quick and the staff are nice

This is a Vietnamese cafe with good, tasty and great value food from entree, to main such as noodles and rice dishes. Price is reasonable. Lunch time is very busy so if you’re touring best arrive before 12 or wait after 1:30 pm to enjoy a more quiet and relax atmosphere.

The roast duck noodle soup is super tasty!!! But you must dip the duck in the sauce first before eating or it won’t have much flavour. I love how they give you two types of dipping sauces, I keep switching in between.

Quick Vietnamese food that makes a work lunch easily fit in. Where’s Charlie has a brilliantly simple menu of noodle and rice salad augmented with lemon-grass crispy chicken, BBQ pork and more. The place is packed at lunchtimes and reservations are recommended! The menu makes for easy reading with pictures to give you a good idea of what’s coming out. The noodle salads are an easy choice and can be made fancy with the addition of chicken spring rolls. Be sure to peruse the specials: two pork bao buns for $10 was a filling lunch! The chicken curry is always super popular. Despite speed and easy eating, the crowd can be a bit overwhelming. Ordering at the counter is a must, and the drinks selection is limited outside a really strong showing for smoothies. The waffles at Where’s Charlie are bizarrely good for a Vietnamese restaurant - highly recommended if you can get them! Go here for a quick lunch knowing time pressure won’t be a problem!

Yummy and fresh Vietnamese food made in front of you. Can recommend the fresh, fish, duck and prawn rolls. The Vietnamese coffee and latte are very good along with deserts.

When your away from home and wanting some comfort food. Being South East Asian Phò is always a good go to and to be honest there are plenty of below average establishments that serve this! This is not one of them and in all places, Wellington CBD. It was clean and delicious. Portion was plentiful. The stock was very authentic and so were the chefs. Great value for money also.

Gorgeous food - Best Vietnamese in Wellington! Where’s Charlie was everyone's number 1 request after lockdown and it didn't disappoint tonight. All 5 of us were super happy with our meals. Crunchy spring rolls, intensely flavoured pho, beautiful noodles, veges and meat salads, dumplings and more. Best of all, delivered hot right to the door and we didn't have to move an inch. Absolutely delicious, beef is so well cooked it melts, noodles are still firm / not soggy, the spice in the broth is great and even in a takeaway container it was piping hot. Very nice menu, full of great and reasonably priced meals. I particularly loved the roast duck salad. It also went well with the Tuatara APA beer that was on tap. Great staff and the venue is easy to find on Lambton Quay. It's gets a bit noisy when it is full of people, so if you want a more intimate conversation, pick your times.

I loved it here - a number of vegan options, which staff confirmed, and portions are humongous and very filling. Very reasonably priced and a lovely atmosphere. Gets very busy at lunchtime so would recommend coming before/after.

Tried Banh mi there twice. Not the worst in Wellington but not the best either. Bread wasn't very fresh and not very flavourful fillings, sauce was too runny. For a Vietnamese Banh mi standard it was a 3/5 star, for a service and atmosphere it was a 4/5 star. I'd give a 3.5 stars if I could.

The interior and service was fine and the beef noodles had a good taste but the soup was not hot enough; it was just above lukewarm and detracted from the whole. For hungry customers coming in from the cold and looking forward to being fed and warmed it's especially important for broths (and cooked food in general) to be served piping hot. This also releases the flavours and aromas more intensely, which is a win-win for both chef and customers (especially when you're dealing with Asian cuisine).

The food is delicious and made from scratch in super quick time. It's a pain that some businesses still don't invest in PayWave. I had to do an online transfer as their machine would not recognize my cards. A small inconvenience but one that will make me think twice about another visit here...unless I have cash. There was no staff interaction at all -they took our order, served the food, which was good, and we left.

Was expecting a noodle soup with bigger chunks or slices of meat like most Asian noodle soup. There should be an add-on or upgrade for this. The avocado and kale smoothie was a bomb. It should be served with a straw though. In terms of pricing, I'd say it's a little cheap. They should offer a few other menus and charge more in my opinion.

A nice place to stop for lunch. Delicious food at an affordable price. Can be a bit crowded during peak hours, especially when your with a group which can make finding a table difficult. But if you do manage to find a table then the the affordability of the food and it's quality is worth the effort. Would recommend a visit.

I visited this store during lunch time on Friday I would like to acknowledge the staff at Lambton quay for the friendly quick service received today also to add this would have to be one of the fast pace lunch areas in Wellington. Presentation of the store is a A+ along with state of the store being so clean. Keep up the awesome business Wheres Charlie Owner,staff and the person in charge of keeping it in the A+ state you have. Will be visiting again on my next trip to Wellington.
