The staff were lovely Alex and the friendly as Maori lady . Food was great. The small disappointing thing was no crackling with the pork belly . But it the whole experience was great ! 👍🏼

Lemon Caper Dory - Pan-fried in butter with lemon, capers, mash potato and edamame beans. Verdict - fish is fresh, the lemon enhanced the flavour of the fish. Very memorable experience. Will definitely return to try other menu items.

Nice meal for Seniors. Disappointing as staff turned 3 lots if groups away at 8 o'clock saying Cobb n Co closed. Shame as peak summer holidays. The website also states closes at 9 p.m.

After reading some of the reviews we weren't sure if we would like our meals, but the 4 of us thought our meals were spot on. The staff were friendly and helpful and helped make our experience enjoyable. Glad we tried Cobb & Co. No complaints at all.

Our whole meal was amazing! We ordered... Coconut Chicken: very flavoursome and was a huge portion, but hubby was up to the task! Lol... Hubby's new fave at Cobb & co. Apricot Chicken: I wanted to try something new. Portion size was good. Chicken was moist. Was a yum dish! Seafood Chowder: It's probably THE best we've ever had! It was creamy, everything in it just melted in our mouths. It was absolutely devine! We'll definitely be back when we're in town. Highly recommend!!

Ordered the fish and chips and a shrimp cocktail! and my husband ordered the steak and garlic bread he said he really enjoyed it! fish was well cooked and fresh isn't rubbery like the fishing club. shrimp cocktail was well portioned, and very delicious. service was fast, and staff were very friendly uru and trainee were so lovely and were helpful with helping me chose a yummy meal.

Just went for dinner tonight with a large number of family, including kids and seniors. I could not fault any of the meals. Awesome selection. Great for kids with traffic lights, cobb crunchies and different creative desserts. They also had the classic activity menus for kids. The food was excellent and they offered a selection of cocktails for the adults. They also have specials for seniors which looked on par with regular meals. We will be back.

First time visiting this Cobb & Co in Whakatane, very good food for lunch. The atmosphere was lovely with wonderful service from their waiting staff. Our girl was warm and friendly with a lovely sense of humour. Will go back again

it was ok. i was told better but it did like to see my kids love the fish and my family enjoyed the company of the staff. Fast service and their was a girl called trainee she was delightful and quick and fast service overall I spent $45 dollars. I'll make sure to bring my step kids again

While the staff and service was very good. We ordered from the gold card menu, the servings while very tasty, were very small and only one slice of roast pork. Don't think I have ever had a roast with only one slice of meat?? Consider this more a childs serving than a seniors meal, very disappointing, and would have ordered from the main menu had I known.

Wow what a blast from the past going to Cobb & Co brought back memories from my childhood, food was lovely and we had the most AMAZING server called Alex who was polite attentive and conscious in his customer service, 5 stars only cause we had Alex make our dining experience pleasent and enjoyable

We ate Fishnchips, Prawn Sirloin, Lamb Shank and 3 shrimp cocktails. Loved the sirloin and Fish dishes. Shrimp cocktail was perfect. Lamb Shank was tough but we let them know and we received a discount. Food was served really quickly. Lovely, friendly service. Thank you! 😊

Dined in few nights ago and was very impressed with service and food. Kaimoana feast was amazing. 5 star. But very appalled with how some customers treated these young waitresses. Was appalled with how rude, abrupt and childish the table was besides us. This poor waitress was obviously nothing older then 17 and she handled the situation better then I would've. CUSTOMERS AREN'T ALWAYS RIGHT. Cobb and co owners/ headquarters what ever you call it, make sure you personally check up on you're staff. I'm a mental health nurse, and if situations like this occur a lot (which I'm sure they do) can have a big and bad affect on them. Keep it up ladies. You're doing amazing :)

Lovely staff, modest yet quality food selection, quick to serve, and a great atmosphere. The only qualms I had with Cobb & Co was the location, as it is located in a busy and noisy part of town, and that the parking spaces aren't too great. All in all, this is an easy recommendation for families or for a few drinks with mates if the pub next door isn't for you. As stated before, the only downside is the location and parking, but that's out of Cobb & Co's control.

Had a awesome dinner last night, the ribs were superb!! Our waitresses were very friendly. The only problem there was with the lady with glasses, think she is the manager. She was wearing an AirPod in her one ear the whole time we were there. She served us and we could hear music playing. It was very unprofessional. I've worked in the industry before and there's no need for AirPods at work. It did put us off.

Just had a beautiful meal at Whakatane Cobb & Co. What a amazing evening. The restaurant was full and only 2 staff serving meals, drinks and anything else that was required. These 2 young men should be very proud of themselves, they treated all of the customers with absolutely brilliant service and made each and every customer feel very special. There knowledge of there job was so good you did not have to ask for anything as they were by your side with whatever was needed before you could mention it and always with a very large smile. Well done guys, I can't wait to have a meal with you both serving again, and my pork roast was yum thank you.

This hotel is historic in a lot of ways but has what you need for a good nights sleep. Lovely fresh clean sheets, hot shower and thick towels. Staff are friendly Restuarant food is fantastic well presented and I enjoyed both meals. Would stay again

perfect evening. My daughter loved her kids tenders and my husband is obsessed with the coconut chicken. What made it better was we were squeezed in while the restaurant was packed. Thankyou to the ladies who worked extremely hard lastnight to ensure we were well looked after.

Predictable and reliable family-style restaurant. Cobb and Co seafood chowder has been a staple on the menu since forever. Tasty, filling and hearty. Once upon a time the chowder came with a lovely slice of toasted bread. Today there are about half a dozen croutons. Sadly there aren't many Cobb and Co restaurants left around New Zealand. This one in Whakatane is one of the few remaining. Good for family meals.

Felt quite let down by the service we received last Saturday night. Table of 16 with 5 kids, Service was really slow, kids Drinks were forgotten. Meals came out in good time, but sadly some looked like they had had just come from the microwave. Kids meals had no tomatoe sauce to go with fries. Plenty of pencils on table but no placemats for kids to draw on, Do you not give a finger bowl for ribs ? Sorry to do this to a Whakatane restaurant but Probably wouldn’t recommend it to friends or visitors.

Not that likely to come back.

After all the rubbish reviews I was apprehensive about entering this establishment this evening...however I was pleasantly surprised, food arrived at the perfect time, was hot and lovely. More importantly I was with two little ones on my own and the kids wanted for nothing, with great food, inclusive service, colouring books and more. So I really recommend coming here, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The hotel is nice and perfect for two nights but hey need to work to improve the costumer service, special Nok, her administrator. The Wi-Fi service is poor, they dont have enough spaced at the carpark for the guests and they have problems with the fire alarm in the rooms. So is possible at midnight they wake up you because the fire alarm was active
