T.When I need hot cake I make sure it's before 11am.
It's awesome to sit & have breakfast with people around you it's awesome when a whanau comes in I haven't seen for some time and also people whom you never met .
Once a fortnight & the staff are fabulous 👌 & very helpful. My only concern is marshmallows in hot chocolate is too sweet, as a diabetic this is a No.🤪😍🙏

E.Came in and a lovely older lady was at the door checking vac passports, lovely with beautiful caring nature, made sure I had a seat under the air con & even opened the door for me on my way out. The other staff didn't say anything even when giving food, but the door lady made the visit amazing. Shame about the other staff.
K.Easy access, good service, seating and clean toilets. The food was what you expect to get from McDonalds, fresh and hot. Kids love it for a treat especially if you live in the rural areas

C.Beautifully baked Kiwi burger. The service by the lovely lady who had heaps of time to talk to us while she kept the place spotless. A wonderful experience post 4/3 lockdown. No kidding, my Kiwi burger was the best.

M.What you would expect from most McDonalds. Great sometimes and average other times. Biggest gripe is the removal of the self serve Coca-Cola machine.

A.Awesome experience. Was offered my bun-less burgers (gluten free) to be lettuce wrapped. Such a yummy meal. Great staff, fast service even though it was lunch time on Easter Monday!

o.I went here for lunch. It was very busy with the lunch rush yet the place was spotlessly clean. The coffee was perfect and meal was delivered to my table within minutes and with a smile. couldn't fault the experience.

P.Busy drive thru but quick
M.Expensive isnt it these days? Ode to the days where anyone can afford McDonalds, and when the soft serves were 60c now, water in a cup is either free or 50c but the price might have gone up.
This McDonald's, has normal speaker service, however, when it gets busy, like at lunch time, a staff member will come out to the drive through, which is one lane, and will begin taking orders. Now that's service. It's also next to countdown :)

K.It's just your typical McDonalds. The staff are nice, there are some who have flawless customer service tho and I have made complements to the owner - through the app - about these staff members I just hope he passes the messages on. I give it only 3 stars as that's the highest rating I will give fast food.
D.Its the same as most McDonalds. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Has drive-thru. Easy to get in and out. Food gets cooked fast to the usual standard. Staff look stressed, not happy.

C.Delightful worker opened door for my crew of 3 hungry mokos and my 76 yr old father who is slow and suffers from Dementia. So appreciated her gesture to help. Inside the serving girls were wonderful and helpful in understanding my 4 to 11 yr old wishes. Girls loved the playground. Will visit again for sure. Thanks

J.This is by far the maccas I've been to. The food is always fresh and well presented, and tastes amazing. We stop there on our travels between Gisborne and Auckland every year, and every year the standards are still high. Keep up the great service :)

A.Like most of there places staff running about trying to serve to quickly making silly mistakes. Don't visit as often now to stressful .
T.The staff are one of the best. I might move to Whakatane because they made me feel welcome and really looked after me. The service was beyond the standard and just went the extra mile. The maintenance guy was awesome to talk with. Then the food was delicious as always

The food however was average for a McDonald's and the McCafe lacked some of the syrups needed for hot beverages.
Tables were not wiped and had trays left. Bathrooms were disgusting, no disability access and were tagged.

J.Whakatane has a good McDonald's compared to most I recon. I wana b a Karen and complain but I'd be telling lies if I did.
L.A smallish outlet. They have a Mccafe but no dedicated cafe seating. At busy times you may be hard pressed to get a seat. Good amount of parking and it has a drive through. Convenient location on a corner
T.French fries are always good in the morning because you are guaranteed that they are fresh.

L.We always go to this Maccas. There have been instances where orders of ours were messed up, they were always very quick to address and solve the issue and made it easy on us as well.

L.10/10 asked for as many pickles as I can get and they didn't not disappoint as I had an inch thick layer of pickles, and as a side point I witnessed someone buy a fillet o fish yes that's fillet o fish. The burger that should never be brought has been brought. So yes whakatane maccas is the best maccas I've been to in a long time
