E.Best burger ever 🤩 I’m not vegetarian but this halloumi burger (the squeak) is a must try! Between our group, we ordered 4 of these and the lovely lady who served us said she created this burger recipe - she did a great job! 11/10 recommend! We also order 2 sides of fries and the portions were very generous and cooked to perfection!

N.We got there 10 minutes after opening, and there was already a queue of eight people ahead of us - it was a good sign. We each ordered The Legend (beef, bacon, cheddar, dijon mustard, salad and relish and we added pickles). My partner ordered a strawberry shake, which arrived while we were waiting for the burgers - very generous shake served in the metal milkshake cup which kept it nice and cold. Nice thick shake with combination of strawberry icecream and syrup, she describes it as 'epic'.
Now onto the burgers - very well assembled, fresh homemade beef patties hot off an open grill, they were the same size as the large buns so you get all the right ingredients down to the last bite. Well balanced, nice dijon and the right amounts of sauces, the pickles we added extra were delicious with hints of dill so definitely recommend that. Really delicious experience!
A great burger joint with friendly staff, who seem to be passionate about what they do and proud of what they create! We would definitely go there again!

C.My partner and I were real hungry so we decided to take a walk down the road and see what was to eat. Well we basically smelt our way over to Soul Burger, you can smell the beef and bacon a mile away. The staff are absolutely lovely we had excellent service and the BEST burger ever. They are so tasty and just delicious. I would recommend a visit you will definitely not be disappointed .
T.Chips are good, atmosphere is great, staff was very friendly. Burgers could use some work in my opinion but I could be biased. Definitely reccomends though.
T.Great burgers, a more expensive burger place so was expecting the burgers to be good and they delivered. Although forgot the cheese I asked for on my sons burger. Milkshakes for $8.50 could have been better, theyre the same as you'd get from any standard bakery.
Would really recommend the hey pesto burger and the crank'n'cranberry burgers.
Staff there were friendly and helpful.

S.Parked ourselves here in the afternoon after a full day of perusing the vehicles participating in this years Beach Hop. Lovely staff and cold drinks made for a welcome respite from the sun. Chips were delicious and apparently so are the burgers so I'll be back to find out soon!

The beef patty just wasn’t that good unfortunately. Was a bit fatty, chewy and gristly. The rest of the burger ingredients were good, just the meat not.
M.I had the fish burger and my partner had one of their beef burgers and we were very impressed with the size of their burgers. Mine was really really good, the piece of fish was perfectly fried and large! Can't remember if my partner thought his burger was amazing, but we were both slightly disappointed with the chips. Still a good meal though, would definitely recommend and try them again.
A.I came here after seeing all the good reviews. Sadly my experience with the food wasn't bad, but underwhelming taste wise. I had a beef burger which cost 16.50 and despite having lots of ingredients I love like beetroot bacon beef etc the taste was almost non existent. I think it was underseasoned or under sauced or something. I eat burgers regularly and had hoped it was going to be awesome. Service was prompt and friendly. Food wasn't bad, just wasn't awesome which for nearly $17 it should be.

p.Good burger. Nice staff. The only thing that I would criticise, is the lack of paywave ie tap and go payment. They are obviously busy, and this slows down the queue. Also, I am averse to touching a keypad that has had maybe 1000 fingers on it today. Great way to spread covid, I must point out, unfortunately.

J.I would 100% recommend this place! Their burgers and chips are amazing and the portion sizes are really good! Their location is great for just sitting on the main street of whangamata and watching the people go by. I would definitely go back again.

B.Had a Mojo burger & chips. Super generous chip portion and they tasted amazing, burger was pretty good too except for the avocado - really wish places would use real fresh avos in summer when they are readily available rather than a purée! Just isn’t the same :( will be back however!
T.I always make Soul Burger a stop when I’m in Whangamata. Consistently great burgers & MUST have Kumara chips. Tonight we had Gluten free bun with lost soul burger & hey pesto chicken burger - delicious! Quick friendly till & chef service (but be realistic & expect to wait but it’s worth it if busy) enjoy a corona while you do & people watch! As I said it always on the to go list when in town! Order via phone or in person! 👍🏻👌🏻😋
W.Soul Burger lives upto its name with great tasting burgers. The Whanga burger hit all the right notes along with a decent sized side order of fries and a thick creamy strawberry shake. The friendly staff and efficient service make this little gem a must visit.
