Just absolutely gorgeous and amazing. The restaurant situated down a small shop alley is quite a little wholesome experience. The building is not super fancy but the food for sure makes up, Japanese authentic food melts in your mouth. Price wise for the food is averagely expensive, but for Japanese food, Is normal. The staff where so friendly and inviting and I couldn't have asked for better service. Would highly recommend this as it's a great exclusive unknown little restaurant that needs to be known.

This our most visited Japanese Restaurant since we moved down here to Whanganui in 2015. It's always the best place to go in town when we want to treat ourselves or to celebrate for an special occasion xoxo 💋 best service here, very polite staffs and warm welcoming from thr owner. Highly recommended 💯 they have the widest range of food varieties from their Menu too. My favourite is their Beef Tataki 🥩♥️ lovely atmosphere dining outside 💖

We were traveling through and spotted this place while walking through town and came back dinner. It's obviously a favorite with locals, they were greeted with gusto as they came in. Good food and plenty of it.

Had high hopes because of the high rating this eatery has ~ didn't quite meet expectations but still a lovely place to eat. Dining outside is lovely and the staff are great. I did wonder if the rice was actual Japanese rice, seem more like jasmin rice which would be a shame if the case. Bring out the candles guys for that romantic feel 🤔

Absolutely delicious. We were a group of 6 going out for our end of year christmas function and ordered around 12 of the smaller meals to share. Man did they come flying out and were hot and delicious. Definitely recommend the food here! Nice variety and ambiance is great too.

Excellent food, but service was lacking: our party of 12 ordered multiple dishes, which the menu seems to encourage, and asked for them to be served together. A number were missing and had to be chased at the counter, which was inconvenient and meant some members of the party were served their main dish after others had already finished. Would recommend for smaller parties of 1-6, but not for larger groups.

Incredible food. Recently visited for our daughters 10th birthday and there is something for everyone! Cold delicious Sapporo beer, the katsu curry was amazing!! We also had gyoza, chicken kara-age, chicken katsu and my husband had yakisoba for the first time and loved it!
