Lovely place, awesome food with plenty of options and alternatives, friendly service and adequate pricing. Tofu as vegetarian option was also available although not written in menu. A lot of love put into the entire restaurant with clean facilities and joyful but not overwhelming ambience. Must go in Whanganui.

Thai Villa, always my favorite takeaway. Tonight we ordered a couple takeaways and got home and a rice serving was missing. I was rather peeved, as this has happened to me, too often from other takeaways. I rang when I got home to complain. Couldn't have had a more apologetic manager, such a lovely reaction. We went back to get the forgotten order, and was pleasantly surprised to get some spring rolls and sauce as well as more apologies. Thank you Thai Villa for being so apologetic and understanding. A definition 5 star's for your food and service 👍👍👍👍👍

So tasty the way good Thai should be. Try the stir fry satay chicken. Way better than the anemic things you get elsewhere.

Great service kept my stars at 4 rather than a 3. A tad over priced in my opinion, venue is very cramped with minimal room to move once packed. Food was tasty and well presented without a massive wait.

We went there for the final night of our stay in Whanganui with our daughter's family. The atmosphere was great and the staff were welcoming and helpful. A huge. menu from starters to the desserts. We all unanimously agreed that the honey Coast duck was the answer, so all ordered it. I reckon that the chef was on form. All of the meals were cooked and presented the same. They came out still sizzling. The duck was superb with the meat tender and delicious and the skin was crackly. The meat nestled on a huge pile of excellently cooked fresh vegetables. Everything was amazing, but the honey sauce just outdid it all!. The roti, the moneybags, and the prawn twists were lovely, but all were outclassed by the sauces. That, to me, is the key to great food. The service was quick and friendly. We didn't have a lot of room left for dessert but managed to attack a sundae. Lovely again with a yummy chocolate sauce. Thanks guys, you made our final night in Whanganui a night to remember! We will be back.

I have visited a lot of Thai restaurants in my life, and I can confidently say that Thai Villa Wanganui is the BEST in the whole of New Zealand I always get my meals takeaway, and they always come in clean packaging, the food is always hot, fresh, delicious and they make it super fast. I will never go anywhere else, 100% recommend !!!

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Very authentic Thai cuisines and a huge variety too. Highly recommended for family meals or romantic night out. We had pad Thai, green curry, basil chicken, ginger beef, chicken Thai salad. All very tasty, appetizing and colourfully presented. Thank you!

Best thai food I've had to date. My friend and I discovered this place and we both will travel back to Wanganui to eat here again. The steamed wontons where the nicest I've tried and I will remember those dumplings. I had the chilli paste stir fry incredibly delicious too. I cant wait fo return to try other goodies on their good sized menu. Great portion size for the amount charged and great service too.
