M.BEST Indian I've had on the coast! My family ordered a variety of vegetarian, meat, naans and everything was full of flavour and packed so nicely for takeaway. You can tell they care a lot about the food. Everything was so delicious we couldn't stop... Didn't end up having leftovers, but the portions are extremely generous, we just kept eating it was so yummy! New go to takeaway place!

H.Very unique interior design made of coir ropes. Loved the mango lassi and vegetable pakoda. Moghal Murgh was okay and Fish curry was too sweet. The aloo roti and paneer roti were good. The itemized bill wasn't given - not sure why. The service was good.
B.Best curry ever. Ordered takeaway, long to arrive, but within timeframe. Generous quantites, and naan garlic? scrumptious.
D.You know when you have a lazy day at home, and you just want to get some nice butter chicken to fill that craving? We had one of those days so we decided to give Spice & Soda a shot.
When we got there at 11:30AM the store was closed, lights off and tables were still stacked inside. This was quite confusing as even the hours listed in front of the door states that they should be open. We decided to hang around a bit and about 15 minutes later, someone eventually said that they will be open in about 10 minutes.
Finally, we sat inside and we were ready to get started.
Interior: The decor is a bit old in appearance and run down. The space is also a little bit tight but you can still move around without having to squeeze through other tables.
The service: We did not really see much staff, there was only one waiter who was running the front, taking orders and then going to the kitchen to help prepare the food. The staff member who served us was nice.
The food: We both ordered the Murgh Makani $9.99 lunch special, which is basically your butter chicken. The special comes with rice, naan bread and the curry itself which is a pretty good deal. All combinations were cooked well and tasted great.
Overall, our experience at spice and soda was above average. If you are in the local area then I would highly suggest checking this place out.

H.I have taste for Indian food. And it's tough to find a good quality Indian restaurant with good price range in whangaparaoa but spice and soda indian restaurant will not disappoint you. I went with my sister on her birthday. Food was so delicious that she said it was the best birthday ever.
B.Food & service was good but interior appears run down & dingy. Gives the impression of having a failed re-style attempt. Three years ago this venue was beautiful. Prices reasonable.
V.Definitely spice and soda has own unique taste of food.I ordered Lamb Biryani and chicken Saag with some naan breads. Food was so delicious. They delivered very quickly. May be will go for dine-in on this weekend. Thanks.

I got a takeaway on Wednesday and you came to talk to me & showed me a video from 7 sharp,id ordered chicken 65 & you asked me to rate it, well I can tell you it was absolutely beautiful,i will be back for more
T.Absolutely delicious! If you're a saag fan, highly recommend the lamb. If you're a biryani fan - you're in luck... winner, winner chicken dinner! Yum-yum-yum poppadoms and garlic naan! 😃
