M. D.Excellent quality. The sesame chicken is amazing. Every time I visit family in Whangarei I try to make a trip to Kamo for their takeaways. It is always fresh, to a high standard and is not overly greasy or salty like other takeaways. I live in Wellington (with great eateries) but can't find Chinese takeaways as good as this.
H.Beautiful chicken fried rice and steak chop suey. The fried rice was well flavoured and the decent size chunks of chicken in it were tender and juicy. Same with the beef in the chop suey - a good amount and so soft, the sauce was yum and the container chock full of healthy crisp veges - broccoli and cauliflower etc. Closest thing to a home cooked meal, and finished with a clean feeling, not greasy. 34 dollars for the two meals in total, and sharing between us all we easily fed two adults and two teens for an evening meal!!
J. T.Fantastic. Always have fresh snapper in, good amount of chips. Very friendly service every time. Always busy so that's a good sign. I've tried other places when I haven't been able to get to Great Wall, but have found the other places not so good

L. O.The Nasi Goreng could possibly be the best tasting Nasi Goreng ever cooked in a kitchen - anywhere in the world. Exceptional value for money and a very generous serving. Hard to believe that something that tastes this good could be found in Whangarei, very friendly and smiling staff too - I’ll be back
S. L.I think the smogasboard menu is a little over priced. I order satay chicken with rice and the chicken alone was $16.50 (and that was without the rice). Not sure if it's due to covid, but considering you can get a large mixed meat from most other places for around $11 I feel justified in my reasoning 🙏
