Really enjoy coming here with my family, tucked away up an alley down rust avenue, we have driven along this road many time and have not even noticed it until now. Service was lovely, we did not wait too long for our food. waitress tended to us and was very polite. Food was great - we have rarely gone to a restaurant and left feeling full. We ordered a lot of food and were very surprised with the overall cost (we have been to other restaurants and have paid a lot more) Will definitely come back to this restaurant, many thanks to the owners and to the chef - you're hospitality was appreciated

A warm and friendly experience. They cared about your thoughts and engaged with people well. One young lady seemed a tad unprofessional. Whangarei has some good spots where food is made with love. This is one of them. Great to see Management out on the floor engaging with the customer.

Lovely venue with indoor and covered outdoor seating. Genuine South Korean food, we had 2 sizzling plates: bulgogi (non spicy) and pork, and bubble teas. Side dishes that were included are a hit too. Great vegetarian options if needed. Very yummy.

The food and customer service itself is great, but I have been disappointed several times. Perhaps it was because I had to travel 50 minutes from home to get there, but I guess I should've called. There was no number listed initially and the opening hours were wrong too. On one occasion, they were just closed. The hours listed on Google were wrong. The next time I tried, they were booked for a private function. They also had a buffet but it was only during the weekdays while I was at work. I think they did have a weekend but that was when it was booked for a private function. Can't remember exactly. On another occasion they were closed as it was the break in between where they got ready for the night time menu. I insisted to hubby waiting an hour for them to open because we'd finally found them during their opening hours!

Yet another review that is well overdue... Hann Sang is one of my regular "go to" lunch spots. I usually call ahead since I'm so sort on time, and they are FANTASTIC about helping out those of us who are time deficient. I can be in and out in a half hour and have a gorgeous meal far better than any "fast food". Portion sizes are generous and the quality of the ingredients is always top notch. It is also a regular spot for my cre for "girls night out" as they can easily accommodate larger groups and have some Soju that is incredibly delicious and perfect for preparty. Love this place!! You will too!!

The food is really very good. The fried chicken is delicious. I had the half original and half spicy. I think the kitchen may have made a mistake with my order. The spicy chicken tasted like the honey soy sauce kind. There was no spicy kick to it at all, so I can't really say how spicy the chicken is here. However, both types of chicken were still pretty great. As far as service went there were many issues. I will say that first of all, we ate here on a Saturday night. We also had a large group of people. So I'm pretty confident in saying that what happened to us, on this night, may not be indicative of the normal service. We got there at 18:00. Our whole table was there on time. Our drink orders weren't taken until 18:30. Our food orders not until 19:00, possibly later than that. Finally our food came at 20:30! The food came in dribs and drabs. Half the table got what they ordered, while the other half waited. We didn't leave the restaurant until 21:40. One of our party had to leave before he even got to eat! Like I said earlier, I think the restaurant isn't normally that slow. They did apologise over and over, but not until the very end as I was paying the bill. No one came to talk to us during the time we were waiting. No explainations. I think they had staffing issues. I would try this place again, but this time on a week night and with only 4 people max. The food is worth another chance.

I came here for a my own birthday and I very much enjoyed it, the Bimbibap was delicious and cheap for the quantity ( $15 ) I am planning to go tomorrow with friends and I am excitied. The atmosphere is kind and calming, the music isn't harsh it's gentle and the staff are brilliant. They were considerate and I tried speaking Korean to them and I was not very good at pronouceatig but helped me nonetheless. Beautifully secluded, and quiet location terrific for dinners on the quiet spontaneous get away.

I am so regretful for only being able to give this place 4 stars not 5. It was our first here and we didn't know what to expect. After searching the menu the man came and offered to help which he did a lot and we were able to order something yummy. My only and biggest let down was the 'prawn skewer' yes not plural. For $12 you too could get a giant plate with one sad looking skewer with 4 prawns on it. One canned pinapple slice and some diced capsicum. I have never been so speechless. I didn't even no how to bring up the price for such disappointment. My husband told me to try not make it ruin the evening so I continued with the meal ahead. And honestly apart from that dish everything was amazing. It was a fun experience and when we were done we were full but a healthy feeling full. I would %100 reccomend just stay away from the prawn skewer if u don't want to waste your money.

Front of house service was great, all the food was delicious and the owners were more than happy to guide our choices in terms putting food combinations together, and the level of spiciness on each dish. The pork hot pot soup was a favourite, as was the spicy tofu. Very homey feeling, with very enjoyable with honest food. Would dine again gladly.
