My first McDonald's outside Australia and it did not disappoint. There is a slight difference in taste, that is however down to NZ Beef vs Aus Beef. Otherwise a very similar menu with some surprising uniquely NZ items. Next time i visit the Whanau I'm absolutely stoping in again.

I really only go into McDonald's for the fries and over the past few years, the 'large' has gotten smaller and smaller, to the point where it's only 1/4 full. This is across various stores. Was pleasantly surprised when my medium and large fries came overfilled! The only thing is they aren't as salty as I like but lots of salt is bad anyway. Everything else was good, pretty standard. Thanks Kamo Maccas!

Dirty! Really friendly staff and the food is well presented not slapped together. But the tables were so gross, they get cleared but obviously not wiped down, the floor was also slippery in the greasy kind of way.

While visiting NZ about 8 days in, all I wanted was a fountain drink. Quick stop at this place. Staff was crazy friendly to two Texans.

The dining area was disgusting. Food scraps everywhere, tables dirty, spilt drinks on tables and floors, rubbish bins overflowing. We had to clean our own table to be able to sit down. Saw another guy get a cloth from staff to wipe the mess off his table so he could eat. Unbelievable!

McDonalds is McDonalds except this place is always super busy. And it's so weird that they make you wait in the waiting bay in the drive thru even if you're the only car in there and they bring the food out as soon as you've managed to wangle your car into the park. 🤷‍♂️

Best McDonald's store for service and quality of food in Whangarei. Would have been a 5 star but the drive thru is ridiculous with a waiting zone that can really only fit a moped in it otherwise holds up other vehicles trying to get out.

FANTASTIC day out with my BEAUTIFUL grandson KAYVARNE. Yes,he wanted to have breakfast at McDonalds.👌We both had breakfast BURGERS with hot Chocolate YUMMY 💕👌. There are three McDonald's in Whangarei. Regent, Raumanga and Kamo. They used to be absolutely useless however Kamo McDonald's has seemed to have picked up the game. It is what it is however at least the orders are accurate, the service is friendly and orders are filled in a timely fashion. Raumanga McDonald's sadly has none of these attributes. I highly recommend Kamo McDonald's but recommend you bypass raumanga McDonald's at all costs.
