Delicious and fresh food. We ordered the sashimi bento box 🍱. Although service was slow and the oil smell was strong it was worth the wait.

We happened upon this place as we passing through and stopped for dinner. As we walked in it was very Smokey but the traditional Japanese decor quickly took our minds away from that. The food was reasonably price and very yummy. The waitresses where in beautiful kimonos and provided lovely prompt service. Next time I would be keen to try their sashimi!

Lovely music, delicious authentic Japanese food. I always love to go to this restaurant. A wide range of mouthwatering foods, you will find it difficult to pick your food!
My favorites are Deep fried squid tentacles with Japanese mayo and Japanese seven spices on the table!
And I love sushi, and udon, and tempra... yum!
Visit there lunch time if you are indecisive like me, you can try lots of different food reasonably in a special lunch box.

Amazing place to eat if you enjoy fees japanese cuisine. Wheel chair accessible and the servers are lovely. Everything is beautifully presented and taste as good as it looks. Everyone must try if in Whangarei.

Delicious authentic Japanese food and setting - we were delightfully surprised. We had three lunch specials @ $19.50 each, Yaki Udon and two green tea ice creams for $85 which you'll never get anywhere in Auckland. We'd definitely return next time we pass through Whangarei.

Had dinner at this place. The food is good but we find our food (yaki udon, karaage don & takoyaki) on the super salty side. Thought it mus be the black sauce. Otherwise, the food is good. We ordered salmon sashimi too and they are fine.

Excellent Japanese food, friendly staff and authentic atmosphere. The sashimi and donburi was amazing!
