Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious food with amazing service and nice atmosphere. We were staying nearby so popped over to have some dinner due to the photos and reviews online. Three kids who loved their meals (including the fussy one), a husband who loves his curry and said it was delicious and I the pizza lover which was also delicious. Couldn't fault the lovely young lady's service and it was reasonably priced.

This is a place with friendly staff and good food! A nice spot to stopped by after we visited cape reinga. Butter chicken pizza is something I’ve never tried before, it exceed my expectations! I’ve waited the longest for my fish and chips, but it came without disappointment, overall a good dining experience.

Excellent find - easily missed on a drive but stop and plan a meal. The general menu and pizzas are good but the hidden secret is the amazing curry menu! The service was friendly and efficient despite being busy. There was cold draft beer in chilled glasses, a reasonable selection of wine and soft drinks. Located next to the camp ground and wharf.

Nice food with great portion sizes. We ordered beef burger and steak&eggs. They were well cooked and full of nice flavor. The location is not too hard to find. But it's obvious that they are under-staffed because it took 20 mins for our dishes to come. Otherwise they have good food and great vibes to chill.

Great pub and restaurant with nice selection of pub style food. Staff are helpful and quick to serve. Has an extensive Indian menu. I enjoyed a great chicken tikka masala. Only disappointment was the naan bread which was more of a flat bread so obviously not cooked in a tandoor.

It maybe the only restaurant when you are heading for the Cape Reinga. It is the only you've got, BUT the place is really good. You dont need to find another place. It was the best fish and chips I've ever eaten. I love it. ♥️♥️♥️ You can also enjoy fresh food.

Had lunch here yesterday, delicious calamari and wedges, big portions and very tasty. They also have the best coffee in the North here, nice and strong in a huge cup, highly recommend it. Exellent value for money. Would visit again.

A little bit rustic, but the food was good, prices are very fair and outlook nice. No credit cards are accepted, and staff were not completely informed on their various offerings. It's a local's place, as a tourist we were definitely noticed!

We dropped in after a hard days fishing to find a great bar, good variety in the chiller and a top notch menu. We had a puka burger and some excellent indian, chicken tikka starters, lamb korma and naan. All perfectly cooked, tender meat and just enough spice. Well worth a visit.

Love this place. Go to this little cafe/bar each time I visit my uncle in Pukenui. Really friendly staff and yummy food served such as pizza, fish n chips and ribs. Can have a meal or just go out on the deck for a quiet beer. So relaxing. Would highly recommend.

Awesome service, it was very busy just after Christmas but we were well looked after with a short wait for our food. I would highly recommend the fish and chips, I over heard someone saying it was 'the best fish and chips I've ever had'.

Its an old country pub so dated for the early 80s. Food was good, just 3 standard beers on tap. Comes in handles. Staff nice and friendly.

Good food when its open. Went for dinner at 5.30 and just got served. They were turning people away after us even though they close at 6. Went there for a breakfast toastie next day at 10 and they weren't cooking. Apparently the cook hadn't arrived yet and hadn't bothered to phone his assistant who was embarrassingly turning people away. I'm told this is typical far north hospitality?

Love going here. New owners are lovely and have really brought a homely feel and taste to the menu. Steaks are man sized, pies are the tastiest in the north and black coffee is made perfect.

A fantastic atmosphere and lovely staff. Really enjoyed dinner here because of the fast service, despite having only two wait staff! There was only one vegetarian option on the menu (pizza) but I did ask for another item without the meat and they were happy to oblige. Excellent place to go, and was very happy with my time here.

Amazing! Stopped off on our way back to Paihia from Cape Reinga. We were starving! Ordered fish and chips to go from here. MASSIVE portions! SUPER delicious, so good the kids ate it without ketchup 😂. Brilliant, just what we needed ❤️
