The Sals team are some of the most genuine staff in the hospitality industry for Whangārei. Every time I’ve gone they are so quick and always welcome with a smile (even with a mask on) they are consistent in quality and efficiency for taste and time waiting for a fresh pizza. Highly recommend if you’re near by and want a genuine NY pizza!

Was so excited to see that Sal's was coming to Whangarei, and it was worth the wait! Never your normal cookie cutter pizza, just like the real thing from Sal's in NY (and K'rd in Auckland) - by the slice, so hot it could take the roof of your mouth off if you don't wait, and in my opinion Pepperoni is the only way to go (now that might be fighting talk). Will be back. Big shout out to Jodie, friendly, helpful and just as excited about Sal's as I was. Even behind a mask you could see her lovely smile in her eyes.

OMG best pizza ever!!! ... i have had Sal's pizza in auckland as a dance team and it was grose! - no cheese - round meat balls etc _ However yaay for Whangarei Sal's - outstanding! - lots of flavour and cheese - just perfect ! I have gone from Hell's to definitely SAL'S - thank you Whangarei Sal's - super tasty - mm just devine - I feel it is made with amore /aroha XX

When you put 'Authentic' in your brand name, you should back it up and I can assure you the team at Sals definitely do that. The pizzas are great, the atmosphere if fun and the staff are just great people. Always love my Sals experience. Highly recommend. 'Brooklyn' for the win.

I went to Sals pizza in Whangarei five minutes before they closed. The two girls working there, one was called Jody I think. Both were very friendly and said I could eat the pizza I bought, whilst they cleaned up. The pizza was delicious, but the friendly service from the girls was unbeatable.

Very enjoyable dinner out. Tried the meatball pizza, mozzarella sticks and garlic knots and everything was lovely. Very fresh, hot and flavoursome! Staff were very approachable and friendly and the store was kept clean even while under the pump. Great atmosphere, great food, I will definitely be back!

Worth every penny, every time! This place is for lovers of pure, simple, and by-the-slice pizza. From the dough, to the sauce, to the toppings, it's my favourite pizza in NZ. Thanks for coming to Whangarei <3 Edit to add: the garlic knots and mozzarella sticks (with marinara sauce) are to die for too! 🍕🤤

Had a disappointing screwed up take away order, but Sal's HQ came back and sorted it out for me. Hopefully it was just start-up pains as I love their pizza. Just like the US East coast pizza I grew up with!
