We had a nice Valentine's dinner here, but was a little disappointed in the service level. No one checked to see if our meal was ok. The steamed rice was a bit dry. But, the Pentagons and the Roast Duck was delicious.

The best Thai in Whangarei! We had to stop over from our long trip and found this hidden gem. Luckily, they were still open at 9pm. Lovely staff quick service and delicious food! Highly recommended the Panang Suk Jai (thanks Shanice!) and tom yum soup. Would love to comeback here.

First time I have been there and went with a friend and its thier fave! Had the Prawns and Vegetables in peanut sauce! Great sized prawns and the sauxe was on point!! Friendly service and the Tom Kha was delicious too!!! Highly Recommended!

Thailand on a plate, in Whangarei! Among their many delicious dishes is "Sukjai prawns". Sheer magic! Whole Indian (or banana) prawns in a coriander paste and crispy fried garlic. This is served with a divine chilly sauce. Heaven on earth.

Got a Huge Portion in Container. Thought I might not be able to eat it all. But it was delicious, and I did. Now hooked. Will try to go once a week. They have an 'A' Food Rating. Another plus, "in my book." I have just been again, same order, but seated in the Restaurant, this time. Superbly Delicious. Glass of Water (free). Comfortable Seating, warm, friendly service. I am not related to, or connected too, anyone in this Restaurant. I needed to eat more healthy, and added Thai food, to my diet. I love my Fish 'n' Chips Also. I have already blogged about Kamo's, "Hook Inn".

Reliably good Thai food - best in Whangarei. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is well heated in winter and has comfy chairs. One of our go to places.

We've been to this restaurant several times and I still love their food! When we have out-of-towners visit and we want to go out for dinner, this is the place we go. Need to book in advance as not often they have free tables for walk-ins. Great service, no long wait times for food and plenty of parking around the back along the roadside.

My family have eaten here a couple of times before and promised me a meal I would not forget. How correct they were. Starters were tasty, well fried but not greasy as we so often find. Everyone ordered the Prik king - some with prawns - 1 chili hot and the other Beef with 2 chilly hot. They enjoyed and said although 1 chilly it was a tad hot for them. The beef was excellent too. My pad Thai was so “creamy” and not at all what I’m used to at all. The vegetables in oyster sauce looked superb and the service person eating it said it was superb. Totally the best ever. Portions are exceptionally substantial. Well priced too. Definitely a stop for anyone visiting Whangarei or heading up further North. Not to be missed.

One of the best Thai restaurants ever - and we've eaten at a few! All the dishes were wonderful, but for us the standout winner was the Garlic & Chilli Fish - so delicious we ordered a second helping, and contemplated taking a third one home! Perfectly cooked white fish and crisp vegetables in the most mouthwatering sauce - you have to try it! The restaurant was also clean and pleasant, and staff were lovely. Five stars!

There are several Thai restaurants in Whangarei, but this one is consistently busy. The atmosphere inside is nice although quite compact. The food is excellent and the service is good. We usually order a tofu dish with no fish sauce, so they understand the vegan and vegetarian diets, but also have all the standard traditional Thai dishes as well as their own specialties. They have beers etc on sale, including some well known Thai beer stuck as Chang and Singha.

My friend and I stopped here on our way out of Whangarei. She got the #603 Tamarid sauce mixed seafood and I got the Tom Yum mixed seafood soup and #75 Puk King with the Salmon. We couldn’t even hold back the sounds of pleasure from the food. The salmon was cooked to PERFECTION. I so highly recommend this place! If you come after 1900 expect to wait if you don’t have a reservation... ❤️
