J.Such lovely staff & the BEST iced coffee I’ve ever had in my life. Welcoming to everyone & absolutely worth a stop in & a picnic across the road! Will definitely be back when we’re in the area!
R.FOOD: Lots of options and variety between its three menus; Bar snack menu is available all day and offers perfect portions for ordering a few and sharing them among friends. Great Vegetarian options available as well.
AMBIANCE: Spacious with indoor and outdoor seating and eating options; you can also choose to sit in-front of the fire in comfy recliners, grab a booth or the classic tables + chairs. Nice and relaxing space, and never too loud.
STAFF: Are always friendly and attentive; happy to help discuss the menu and work out any niggly allergies.
T.Food was super good, wings and sauce were a 10, wedges, cranberry and brie on point. Sliders we're a bit dry and could do with some more sauce. Food came out quick and the staff were great. Facilities are cool and the place has a nice outside area.
M.My fav place to dine for breakfast on the Tutukaka Coast ... the eggs bene is ok. Would be nice if they had a children menu option ... pancakes/waffles ect.
W.Nice enough spot in Tutukaka. Bit quiet in winter but as to be expected. Food was ok and service was friendly. The most typical restaurant like location in Tutukaka. Adjoined to the local hotel so frequented by its residents primarily.
G.Mango coconut muffins are great.
Coffee is the best
But the B&E n hashbrown muffin.
Just plain yum.

A.Nice coffee but didnt have food so can't comment on that but it was busy for a weekday morning. Staff not very friendly.
S.Nice atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. I had a fabulous salad with a tasty dressing, chips which were perfectly cooked and gurnard.
My husband had a sort of Mexican dish with pulled beef which he said was ok but could have had more flavour.

Awesome restaurant environment out at Tutukaka Coast.
We ordered the Sirloin which was cooked to a perfect rare as requested, Fish of the Day was Pan seared Terakihi, I thoroughly enjoyed!
An accompaniment of Garlic bread which gave us the satisfaction that only freshly home made bread can give! :)
All this topped off with the best Apple and Berry crumble we’ve had in a long time.
Top marks and our highest appreciation to the chef’s for making our anniversary dinner a memorable one! :)
Our waiter for the evening was energetic, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu dishes.
Tem! You made our first experience at Wāhi an awesome one, and you totally deserved our tip! :)
This was our first time dining at Wāhi, and it definitely will not be the last!

J.Had the big breakfast but can't remember the name of the dish. Was pretty good!
E.Vegan option (kumara tikki) on the menu was delicious and quite filling. And polenta bites make a great vegan starter (swap aioli for tomato sauce)
R.It was OK. Nice setting and generous portions. The fish of the day was not good however. Too much batter and fried much too long. It was way too crispy and not possible to enjoy the fish. I should have asked for pan fried instead.
n.Came for coffee while on R&R in the area service and coffee were on point...so booked for dinner. Everything was absolutely incredible tempura mushrooms on an fried chicken was so good and then came the blue nose with a plum sauce I just wanted to face plant in. Sirloin was cooked to perfection. Couple this with attentive service by the friendliest staff and beautifully presented deserts. My new fave place in whangarei thanks guys
M.Ordered nachos and chicken burger, nachos were delicious but the burger was absolutely disgusting, only had chicken and coleslaw which was extremely heavy on the mayonnaise, making it pretty much inedible. Nice chips with the burger though. Woulda given 1 star if we didn’t have the nachos
M.Steve and I recently visited the Wahi Restaurant after a late afternoon appointment and thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal there.The fire was on and it was a very welcoming ambiance for this time of year.

N.Excellent breakfast, although a bit slow to arrive, the food was perfect. Some whiney person next to us rejected her meal without even tasting it. She was ordering coffee from another establishment on her phone even before her meal was served, so she had no intention of staying to eat it. Probably a professional Facebook food critic but I don’t know how you can pass judgement if you don’t even taste the food. Don’t take any notice of her review.

Z.A newer restaurant is a sleepy vacation town. The service is very attentive and not overbearing. The cultural difference between USA and Kiwi culture really came out at this dinner - total strangers struck up a discussion with us over dinner and were genuinely interested.
The food was delicious, well presented and priced appropriately. Great place for dinner and to relax after an active day outside.
L.Not a good place to be a vegan, particularly in the morning. We did figure something out, but don’t expect anything green here except for avocado.
And why does everyone add ice cream to their children’s pancakes???
T.We have had Breakfast this morning. Was the 1st guests and everything worked well. Coffee was perfect. Plates were cold but food was delicious. Good service partly focused on locals instead of guests😁
K.Great food but had to wait over an hour for a bagel and scrambled eggs. People are usually pretty happy to wait if they're informed of a wait time.
P.We had a lovely breakfast this morning. Our waitress was very friendly even when she was rushed off her feet. Coffee was lovely also.
The only thing I would change was less salt added to the food ;)

V.Quick and friendly service. Sat outside and had a lamb ragout pasta for lunch, plus fish and chips. The order was out before we sat down! Pasta was on the cold side. Apparently the fish and chips were nice.

E.Check this place out for lunch without a lot of hope... but we were presently surprised. They source high quality meat and fish; use local produce; and strive for sustainable practices... and the food is very good.
Notably, they offered probably the best and healthiest kids menu that I have ever seen, including an excellent Pork Sirloin with local veggies and kumara (sweet potato)

V.Easy parking, ordered food came out very quickly. Tourist pricing.... Pleasant staff, clean. More catered for the likes of conferencing or wedding beeakfast than the stop by visitor.

C.It is tough to fault this place. It seems to have changed hands so many times, but the current incarnation, Wahi, is worth a visit.
Helmed by Nick Keene, of Schnapper Rock, there has been more consistency. My flat iron steak was perfectly cooked, and beautifully seasoned.
I think that if given half a chance, Wahi would be just as busy as Schnapper Rock!
