By far the best FNC shop in the North! I remember this being the best over 10 years ago! I remembered the batter was always delicious, fresh and crispy - and the fish bites were huge. And since moving back last year, it's still the same amazing quality! Their scallops are to die for and Fish Burgers too! Highly recommend!

The only fish and chip open at 10am, as we were traveling down from Paihia. Clean store, lovely man who served us. Food was delicious. Fish burger very yum.

This was the first time I had ever been to this place. I usually go to Great Wall Takeaways in Kensington, but I was over this side of town so thought I'd give it a try. First thing I noticed was there were no cars outside when I pulled up and no customers in the shop. This was on a Thursday night around 7pm. To me that was a bad sign straight away. Order of two snapper, two hot dogs and six dollars chips was very fast and the service was good. And so it should when they aren't busy. Amount of chips was okay and tasted good. Hot dogs were also okay. But it was this fish which was the let down. Two very small pieces of snapper for 7.50 each. It was an okay feed but nothing great.

I love the potatoe fritter. They are crunchy. I like it when it was own by Maori. You can tell when the dripping clean. Cause when you got your chips it was not soaking with dripping. You get a lot for three dollars it was the best fish n 🍟 chips in town. It would be great if they can keep up to their name.

Super friendly service!! We were visiting Whangarei hospital (we are from out of town) and this place was nearby. We had a very large order and they were more than happy to seperate it into seperate packages for each family. Good quality fish and the chips were a decent size. 😊😊

Sooòo I used to rave about this takeaway and told all my friends and family this is the best place to go.....but I've noticed the portions are way smaller then before not too sure but has there been a change in owners there? Would usually be a 5 but not sure anymore?
