Whangarei has great Thai restaurants, but the Whang Thai is as good if not better than the competition. It is an intimate restaurant with attentive staff. The food tastes fresh and full of flavour, and a good choice of dishes. We decided to try a selection of entrees instead of having a main, and the dishes were perfect, could not be improved. Love that they serve coconut rice as well. We will be back.

Really cosy little restaurant on bank street. Staff had a really good knowledge of the Menu, very helpful with vegan dietary requirements. Food was very fresh and had beautiful spices. Looked amazing. Maybe my new favourite Thai restaurant in Whangarei would definitely recommend.

Not a very vast menu but all of the dishes are very tasty from Tom Yum soup to Green curry. They are so satious or fulfilling that you hardly can eat a second dish. I could never order a dessert being so full. Good price for the size of the portions as well.

Whang Thai only opened on Christmas Eve, and I am loving it. Been twice with friends and going again tonight. Service is excellent, staff attentive and food great. Can cater for 6-8 or couples. Highly recommend 👌

Had the larb salad and satay chicken for takeaway the salad was exceptional and had amazing flavour but I was let down by the satay chicken tasted over cooked maybe it was chicken Supremes very stringy and tasted like old chicken and the sauce was a let down too, wasn't very authentic. Staff amazing great service will go back but definitely not for the satay chicken.

Food is absolutely amazing!!!! We been here for manh times and never got disappointed, and please do try their Coconut Sticky Rice so yummmmmmm 😋😋😋😋😋

Hi everyone, 17 of us went to the WHANG THAI on Saturday night for my birthday dinner. The food was really yummy and plenty of it with reasonable pricing! The staff were incredible and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone said they would definitely be back. Thanks so much WHANG THAI for such an awesome evening!!

Pretty sugary meals... If you are a type 1 diabetic... Best to avoid!!

Lovely big tasty meals..Mild was even warmer. Not licenced yet, which is a shame. Yes, the waitresses were doing everything but serving diners. Its just like eating your takeaway at the restaurant. They should serve it in a takeaway dish not a plate. Come on Wang Thai! You have great food but the service is not good. Maybe get more staff!

We have had takeaway, but for the dine in food is fresh and tasty. Service is very goodand pleasent staff.

The best Thai meal we have had in long time! My husband and I have both been to Thailand and this jus took us right back. The flavors were superb 😋 Great value for money too and the staff were super friendly. Highly recommend!

I was skeptical to try a new place while there are so many in whangarei already but I'm so glad I gave this place a go! I LOVED IT. I'm a Thai food lover and yes !!! This place is spot on with taste and flavors . Clean good service, smiling faces and kind. I enjoyed pad Thai noodles their red curry was yummy. Gari puff was wow ! I liked their entree. The fried banana dessert was so delicious for 8 dollars totally worth it ! Please don't think twice by the size of the restaurant . I enjoyed my experience here . I will be coming here again and recommend it to my friends .

One of the best Thai Restaurant I’ve ever been to. If you are looking to get the value for your money then this is the place. We order 7 dishes and every single dishes turned out to be delicious and made with Thai authenticity. Great customer service and very friendly staff. I will strongly suggest this restaurant. I’m a foodie and I don’t give 5 star that easily. This one well deserved and earned it well.

My husband and I order phad thai, Food was tasty, the beef really yummy. But the noodle is not cooked well, taste like a bit raw.. Anyway, the price is affordable in compare with the rest of Asian cushion around Whangarei..

Been there a few times, one of the best thai places I've been to. Great service, awesome portions and fresh ingredients. Very fast service for both dine in and takeaways. We will definitely be one of their regulars.

Today me and my family visite whangarei town 5 adult and one child I go to that resturant because positive review and it turn out it won't be dissapointed every food that we order wow yummy and beautiful reasonable price we order 5 main and desert it cost only 130 dallar one of the cheapest best quality food in the whole of northland thank you to the staff we will visite you again when we in town
