Good service, food well presented. They were happy to make a plain cheese pizza for my fussy son. I tried the squid (a bit plain) and the jalapeño poppers (awesome).

Amazing location, staff and food! Yum! Had the lamb, chorizo artichoke pizza, homemade salmon pate, and baked cheesecake. Definitely booking ahead of time is recommended. The bbq smells wafting through were to die for- a real summer memory was made.

Really awesome place to relax and unwind with family and friends. Situated on the whitianga water front stoked has a great view of the bay and serves amazing food and beverages. In side and outside seating options and heaters in both areas this is a place that has it all. Great staff that are friendly and and this place also has wheel chair access for its patrons. Loved the coconut curry mussels and blue cheese and mushroom pizza with a nice glass of reisling and a local pale ale

Great food, we'll run establishment with friendly staff. Managed to sneak us in without a booking. Suggest outside dining due to beautiful scenery

Nice location, atmosphere and great service. The steaks were fantastic and well worth the medium price point. It was hard to get through to them by phone (probably due to the long weekend) so we went along and booked in person. After how utterly disappointing ’Salt’ was on the marina, our visit was a relief and would be my top recommendation for Whitianga.

Great food and amazing staff.. we were greeted with a smile and promptly guided to our table (overlooking the ocean), everything was amazing, the cocktails and the food!!! Great atmosphere!!! Try the “bay of passion” cocktail 🍹 very very tasty!!! I had the steak and wow!!! Will be back here again

Our meal was so good yesterday that we came for more today! Really enjoyed the laid back vibe, music was pleasant and discreet, service impeccable and the view is amazing. Big deal for me was the majority of food was gluten free. Thank you so much.

Had an absolutely amazing meal here last night. My partner and I had Steak and Mussels which we shared. The steak was cooked to perfection and the mussels were so tasty. Definitely recommend coming here if you are going to Whitianga

That food was amazing. I Had a Lamb Rump. Shame only operate from Thursday to Sunday otherwise i would have go more often.

Friendly staff, great location looking out across to the water. They were busy, but great communication on wait time for meal which is always appreciated. Will definitely go back if up that way.

Great little restaurant. We ordered the margherita pizza and beef burger. Pizza was suboptimal, vaguely burnt-tasting even for a grill pizza with bland toppings, but the burger was excellent - best I've ever had. Good atmosphere, convivial, would be good for a large group. We liked the touch of a candle being brought in. Nice view of the beach too.

Anyone who goes here and eats a pizza really is missing out on a great food experience,go here, be adventurous, trust the hosts, this menu is brilliant well thought out with perfect portion sizes,. Our manager tonight,(Rebekah) went out of her way to help us with our selection which made us feel special along with the rest of the staff which while young are very professional, I think this maybe the first experience we've had of this in New Zealand so well done and I really hope to be able to make it back here. 5 stars well earnt👍👍👍👍👍

We had lunch here twice over a couple of days in the New Year. Great both times. Lovely, helpful and polite staff, great food and fair pricing Definitely worth a visit.

We paid for $91 dollars in total but still hungry after we finished them. (We ordered fish of the day and BBQ ribs, mussels and one beer) Chips is the best of all and custermer service is good. The menu is the latest. (16/01/2020)

Absolutely amazing service and food. My friend and I ordered the charred broccoli, tempura pickles and jalapeños, as well as the grilled halloumi and quinoa. Everything was so fresh and you can just tell a lot of effort went into the preparation of the food. Refreshing experience overall especially in comparison to kufe next door!

Awesome food, great beer and wine. So yummy we had oysters and thai coconut mussels, pork sliders and pizza. Apple crumble to finish, very happy. Must try great selection. Consistently good.

What a way to end a wonderful weekend in Whitianga having dinner at Stoked. Bit late with Review... Enjoyed a refreshing Stoked Pilsner. Food was really good and the view amazing. Staff very welcoming and friendly. My family and four legged girl loved it and we will visit again for sure.

I has decided to go to Stoked resturant earlier this week as I had heard such great things about it. Walking in with high expectations my friend and I took a seat on the deck and look out at the stunning view. I am a VERY picky eater but I decided to try some new foods which I often wouldn't. First I ordered the mussels which I was a bit wairy about as I don't often like seafood. Stokeds mussels are my new favorite food! The flavor that bowl contained was go die for. I nearly ordered a second serving! My friend and I ordered a serving of hot chips which came out perfectly cooked, well salted, and with a delicious dipping sause. I ordered the scotch, (medium rare), which I loved. It was cooked perfect and juicy with a scrumptious side. My friend ordered a pizza (meat lovers I believe) and found it very delicious. She said the base was well cooked and tasted high quality. The pizza came out looking so nice that I nearly stole a slice. After we devoured our mains we decided to share a dessert. We ordered the lemon and honey drizzle cake. WOW!!! I highly recommend this dessert. I have never had a lemon and honey drizzle cake but I really enjoyed this (as did my friend). The staff members that served us were super nice and asked if we wanted anything more. Due to this I decided to order a herbal tea to finish off the night. When we went up to pay we had a good chat with the person working up there. Stoked resturant is my new go-to restaurant. I highly recommend going there for food. I will be returning next time I arrive in Whitianga, hungry for more!

If it was summer the views would have been spectacular as this place is situated across the water front. Service was pleasant and relaxing. Of course being in NZ, had to try the mussels - fresh, plump and juicy covered in a slightly chilli coconut sauce. Salt and pepper calamari was fresh and cooked to perfection, melt in mouth experience! Highly recommended.

Good bar for people watching and relaxing after a day at sea. We had a beer and ginger ale and enjoyed the deck

Amazing customer service! The staff are so kind and helpful. My husband had the scotch and said it was amazing and I had the Salmon and it was cooked to perfection. The coffee was exactly what I wanted. I will be returning to Stoked soon, hungery for more.

We had an amazing lunch today..thoroughly enjoyed the scallops and the seared tuna dishes.Also the entree..stuffed jalapeños ..were delish!..the service was impeccable 👌..highly recommend..🤩

What a great experience we had on our visit to Stoked. The vegan options were exceptional. The simple ability to redesign an item with Vegan cheese makes such a difference, well done team. The team were great, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend if you are in the Whitianga area.

We ordered the char grilled lamb and beef scotch fillet, they took quite a while to cook but once we got them..... the lamb required alot of salt to bring the flavours out, the ratatouille which accompanied it was gorgeous. The steak was medium as requested. Beautiful meals all in all

Good location, good selection of food and drinks. Seemed to be few staff working for the amount of customers - table wasn't cleaned, took a couple of requests for a bottle of water. Food was delicious, location / view is good.

Loved this place! Highly recommend the feta and beetroot salad and the chicken wings!

Service was good except we were only once for drinks. I found the main dishes extremely expensive. Whether that's the way we are going cause of the minimum wage increase or if its a increase cause of the Easter weekend. Winter period with locals will tell with the prices on the menu. Food was good.

Nice setting and decor. Oysters and mussels were great. Mussels were big and juicy. Bread was amazing.

After having dinner elsewhere, my Husband and I decided to grab drinks and dessert from Stoked. Service was amazing, as were the cocktails and food. Highly recommend, and will be our go to for meals when we are in Whitianga.

I really enjoyed the food an the place, and most of all I have to say thank you at the staff. There was some very noisy customers but every person of the staff help us to find another table and make us comfortable. So we can enjoy the rest of the night. Very recommended

Friendly and effecient service with a good menu and excellent quality.

We had an amazing experience at Stoked over the weekend. Food was exceptional, we had the squid, fish and chips and jalapeno poppers and they were cooked brilliantly, with a light and fluffy coating, not too greasy and deep fried. The locally produced craft beers on tap were delicious, we tried the Lager, XPA, IPA and also the Cider. The service was attentive and knowledgeable and to top it off the location and view were outstanding. We will definitely be back next time we are in Whitianga. Cheers Stoked team!

We went to Stoked for a drink. We ended up having something to eat. The food was very good.i had a hamburger it cam with chips. The chips were lovely big chunky. They were cooked to perfection. 2 other people with had pizzas which smelt and looked lovely. I was given a slice of pizza it was really good. Saying all that what let the place down was the service. When we got there noone came near us. We sat there waiting noone approach us. One of our people went to te bar to get serve. We had to do this twice then we were served at our table. Stoked need to look at their service and make sure their staff improve their service thanks. Other than that it was good to be back there again. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. Plus the scenery is magnificent out to Mercury Bay.

Popped in to Stoked today for lunch. The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone was catered for including my Vegan son. So much food we even left with a doggie bag! Highly recommend the handmade Stuffed Jalepenos...am tempted to pop back this evening for another batch!

Lovely setting but a tale of one fantastic dish and one disgusting dish. Loved my steak and the broccoli and beetroot salad however the chicken green Thai salad should be taken off the menu as it was awful.

Moved our lunch plans to Stoked from next door after a ridiculous wait time and poor service - should have simply come to Stoked from the get go. The wait staff were lovely and the manager very accommodating. They said a 45 minute wait as they had 2 other big groups but it ended up only being 30 mins for a full cooked lunch for 12 people. Great food, great service and very reasonably priced!

Felt like something sweet for arvo tea and was convinced to try affagato by a friend. Staff member was super lovely and served us straight away. Meal was delish plus added bonus of looking straight out to the water front (while groovy tunes created a warm ambience). Had such an amazing experience that we decided to return for dinner! Seated us outside like we asked and once again enjoyed a scrumptious meal. Top notch place to go if you’re in the area - all round stoked to have stumbled across this place!

Had a very nice dinner here. Was taken aback when we arrived being asked to provide a form of identification card (drivers licence or credit card) to hold behind the counter. Apparently some groups of scumbags over tbe summer had left without paying! I understand their point of view however do not agree with their method to achieve their outcome! The steak main was excellent as were the drink selections. Service was good and quick. However the entrees were terrible, so I wouldn't recommend selecting these items off the menu.

Had a gorgeous Sunday lunch at Stoked mid July. Tasting paddle of beer/cider super tasty. My smoked salmon was incredible and hubby thoroughly enjoyed his brisket. Great atmosphere looking out over the beach.

My only regret is that I have but 5 stars to give. This place is amazing, great tunes, great drinks and the food is unreal. On top of that you're looking directly out onto a beautiful bay. Epic restaurant, 11/10 recommend.

Popped in for beer n fries. No greeting by owner, she just said "Want a beer" Table we sat at had dirty dishes which she removed but left the water bottle even tho she delivered our fries n beer. No servittes offered. However fries were perfectly cooked and beer was cold. Great outlook. They were not busy. Am going to add to this as have visited since for lunch with a group and we had great service and food was amazing, January 2021 5 star service

Popped in for a quick drink and a bite late arvo. Great service and yummy food. Liked how they had evening booking times on tables reserved so we knew when we needed to be gone by.

Obviously a great location but it was the food that stood out. Absolutely fresh and excellent and presented perfectly. Well done to the guys in the kitchen! Staff all nice and friendly and in summer when it's this busy....that's hard. Only thing I would add would be music on the patio but that's me being picky. Definitely recommend this place.

Service great atmosphere great view great. But the food was a bit average. I went expectant of a great fish well cooked but it was a bit dry. We fish a lot and eat fresh snapper all the time this did not taste like that. Other than that entrees were nice but yeah the snapper for me was a let down.

Excellent friendly staff that really look after you. Simple, but wonderful menu. There is enough to choose from, but everything looks and smells so good, we always had trouble deciding. If you are just after a lite bite, a wood fired fresh pizza is a great choice, and the vegetable pizza was fantastic.

Great meal and service we loved the ribs the pizza and the chicken burger as well as the million dollar view from our table.

Place has good views and okay pizzas. It was very busy when we were here and it took quite some time until we could order our food. We had the flatbread with mozzarella and garlic which was delicious. After we shared the smoked chicken pizza, but there was too much meat on it and the chicken was rather dry and chewy.

Lovely food, lovely outlook across road to beach. Staff maintained a smiley face. Food delivery chaotic for a large group. Staff had no idea where they were delivering to. System needs work, feel very sorry for staff as their efficiency is poor due to the ordering system. Use of the table numbers which were available would assist. Very noisy environ.ent when restaurant full

Writing this review as we still sit and drink. Is absolutely delicious. Had a shared platter and pizza and kids pizza, then desserts. Just devine. Is a fantastic place to go. Took my little ones too and had no worries. The food kept my toddler entertained and happy.

The service and food at Stoked Whitianga is legendary. Friendly staff and prompt meals even though they were super busy. Well done team.

Food was excellent. Staff were friendly. We missed out on dessert as they never came back with the menus. We got our drink order in immediately but then had to ask to order our meals. Food was out super quick. Highly recommend for family dining and for Keto/LCHF eaters. We found this place on our last night but all had amazing meals so will be back next summer for sure. Our fav dinner place in Whitianga.

The location stood out to us. After spending awhile deciding what i wanted i went with the ribs which were bloody amazing. The IPA garage was great too. Overall no complaints and couldn't find anything to complain about.

Amazing hosts. Beautiful views. Little disappointed with the main, portion size and chips were well over cooked, but otherwise an amazing restaurant.

The customer service was brilliant, super friendly and attentive. We ordered the mussles as a main and the lamb they were both nice. Desserts were a let down but possibly because it was a flourless chocolate cake which I'm not use too had an odd flavor, very good for those that are gluten free though 😊

I chose fish of the day. Tuna. Possibly the most expensive item on the menu. A third of the pieces of tuna was overcooked and dry. I asked the waitress to inform the chef. When we went up to pay I was routinely asked if everything was ok/good. I replied that a third of the tuna was overcooked and poor. Apologies were muted. No offer of money off. Not best place to order Tuna. Susan Miller

Great view and fish and chips

This place was busting at the seams when we showed up but they still managed to give us a table so be it not good lighting but the service is great and food was nearly the best we had in town.

Beautiful spot on the waterfront and nicely presented restaurant and bar. The seafood platter for two and thick cut fries with aioli were very good, as were the kids meal fish bites, chips, and salad. Coffee came out first and was pretty good too. We didn't try the desserts as the lunch dishes were plenty by themselves, but the options available looked great. The mussels looked and smelt delicious as they went past us to another table. I would've loved mussels on the seafood platter, and the ika mata had a bit too much onion. Service was a bit spotty and there were only a few tables but hey ho. The squid was awesome. Would definitely return again

Delicious meal, excellent staff and superb view! Great place to sit and relax on a warm day and enjoy a nice meal with friends and family. Staff were very helpful and prompt with their service making the experience even more enjoyable. Excellent range of meals for all food lovers and a healthy variety of drinks to compliment, including craft beers from the local region. Would highly recommend to visitors and residents alike!

food is good, honestly servers were really nice but very slow, we felt pretty ignored. maybe with a reservation we would have gotten a table with seats with backs, we were at a high top table with bar stools, our only choice at 7pm on a Tuesday. Delicious dessert. Worth a try for sure!

The location and vibe of this restaurant was amazing, but the food wasn't great especially for the price. Both of the meals we ordered were quite dry and a bit hard to eat which was disappointing considering the cost of the meal.

Dined at this restaurant last night, lovely spot with fab beach ambiance. Staff were attentive although our waitress when asked what her recommendation would be between two mains I was contemplating on ordering, she replied...." I don't know it's a new menu" I thought it common practice with a new menu every dish is made and 'all' staff 'taste' I went for chargrilled lamb salad, lovely flavours albeit my lamb was dry, and my husband ordered steak which the quality of meat looked more like veal & he said lacked the rich flavour of a good steak. At $15 per Cocktail the one we had each was very average all in all ok dining experience, certainly not rushing to go back.

Couldn’t say enough good things about this place. We ate there over the Easter weekend. Super tasty menu. We shared a starter and our mains. Highly recommend the chargrilled lamb rump salad and the miso marinated salmon. Some good local craft beer options too. Great location with nice outdoor seating options. If the weather is nice then you should make a reservation if you want to sit outside.

Amazing selection of well cooked meals that would challenge any restaurant around the world. The young staff work very hard in a small town where labour is scarce and provide excellent personal service. The view and ambience of the restaurant is second to none. Every visit to Whitianga will see me going to Stoked. The owners always make you feel welcome and encourage engagement and even provide visitors the chance to see their amazing kitchen set up. Hats off to Bex and Andy for what they have created!

After staying in Whitianga for 10 days we found that Stoked was our favourite, great local craft beer was delicious and a real winner, food was equally as delicious. They were very busy and tended to our needs in a friendly and efficient manner. Staff keen to chat and were clearly enjoyed working their. Great spot too, what's not to like?

Great location, clean and a good dining environment. However, a long wait before being asked what drinks/food we would like to order, about 25 minutes. Food arrived in acceptable time after ordering, but at no time were we asked how the meal was, or whether we were okay for beverages. Restaurant and food, beverages v.good. Service average.

I have eaten at this place since its been open. I have pretty much had everything on the menu and could not fault one. Amazing flavours, prefect matching, well balanced dishes with a twist to the classics. Great service too!

It was our first time to whitianga and we didn't quite know where to go for dinner but we saw the menu on the street and walked in and we found Good & friendly service, Delicious food, and overall happy with the experience.

Food is OK. The views are fantastic and the service is great. Only one vegan and gluten free option is the falafel salad which was a bit dry. Still a nice place though.

Great location! On a slightly higher price point but the view is probably worth it. Nice options catering to different dietary needs and also options for people with restrictive diets.

This place had reservations but still let us sit at a free spot. Good starters main and dessert. Overall a place that serves food you cannot go wrong with and is very accommodating. The view of stollers by the beach is nice too.

This place is amazing. 20 of us walked in for lunch and we were served immediately without hesitation.The food was literally served in about 10-15mins which was delicious and cooked to perfection.The customer service was impeccable..The couple were absolutely amazing with giving us a 100%. 100 stars if I could Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. came across this place recently on a weekend away and what a find ! from start to finish this place was amazing so much so we came back twice ! all dishes we had were faultless and beautifully presented with a nice selection of local craft beer to wash it down with, the service was great and friendly it had a very nice laid back feel 10/10

Staying with family here from the UK ,we booked a meal at Stoked restaurant for my last evening .We were not disappointed, from the starter to the dessert.Food was fabulous , service very good , could not fault it at all.Would recommend it highly.

Got the jalapeño bites, pulled pork sliders and the beef scotch, amazing food, cooked perfectly. Bites has perfect batter layer on it. We came just as kitchen was closing and they still served us, amazing friendly staff too.

We had a lovely family lunch here. We shared several small plates and specials and all the food was beautiful. The seafood was especially good, fresh and well prepared. The staff were efficient and accommodating to our larger group.
