Friendly staff and students. This is a rather small coed state secondary school. They offer NCEA qualifications. This is a culturally vibrant and diverse school with a strong community connection. The teachers are dedicated and committed.

I love this school and everything they stand for. They have amazing teachers who work their hardest to educate children to the best of their abilities. They really do care about the students. That kind of thing is rare to find these days.

Honestly though, even with the bad rap given by social media, this school is amazing. I would send your child here just to prepare them for real life, not the rich or fancy schools that farm credits and teach the students nothing. Just a reminder, credit-farming is going to be impossible with the new NCEA systems, so those schools will be seeing major drops in academic areas. Seriously, Edgewater is the SAFE option at this point, where you know your child has a future.
