This location is the training classroom for Coastguard New Zealand. The staff are experienced and the facilities are well set up for a realistic training environment for any mariner.

I had some involvement with the NZ Maritime school in the 90's and early 2000 - Has a really dedicated faculty and an excellent Simulator for Shiphandling training. Also boasts some excellent Marine Engineer trainers like Sukerna Amirapu . It provides Professional Training fro seafarers as well as school leaver courses in Logistics. Well worth a visit.
