A. F.Holly and the Salt Shack team are fantastic! My daughter has had several group surf lessons and loved it. They provide a really cool opportunity for kids to learn to surf at a reasonable cost, encouraging younger girls especially to get in to sport. Holly is great with the kids, making lessons fun but challenging. Would definitely recommend them for lessons for any age and level!
J. M.I can't recommend Holly at Salt Shack enough. During the surfing sessions my girls go to with her, she's helped them both advance in their surfing by giving specific, individual coaching. It's been amazing to see their surfing skills and confidence progress, even to the stage where they're confident to give competitions a go. Thanks Holly for recognising and catering for these girls in our community who are so keen on surfing. They love the girls surfing group that you've established on Tuesdays and can't wait for more!!!
A. L.Three or more so years ago, I never, even in my imagination, thought I'd able to get up on a surfboard and surf, let alone get hooked, until my son and I did lessons with Holly and Jay. Regardless of what level you are in at surfing; whether you want to learn, progress or refine your surfing skills, I would highly recommend contacting Salt Shack Surf School for coaching sessions. Salt Shack Surf School is now based in Gisborne where waves are aplenty! Holly also runs epic ladies surf and yoga camps - a must do not just for what you can learn and improve but also the lasting friendships with other like minded ladies!
T. S.My two grandsons (6 and 7 years) just completed an introductory surf meet then went on to after school sessions. So good to see them out there getting plenty of support and feeling confident to stand on their boards. Surfing is such a great, fully physical sport where lots of skill can be developed in young ones. It’s an expensive pursuit but worth it in the long run.
