T.I am so pleased with the experience I’ve had with Karine! She is the best all round surf teacher, and just in general provides a fun time. I went to her with no experience at all, by lesson 4 she had me dropping in to waves, and also knowing how to pop up. She made learning real simple but extremely effective. And just an awesome vibrant person to be around! 😊 100% recommend New Plymouth Surf School.

S.Karine was a wonderful teacher to me. She explained everything so well and I felt safe at all times. She was hands on and gave little adjustments and pointers that quickly resulted in me standing up on the board. Her lovely demeanor and energy are a big bonus! Would 100% recommend.

I am a youth support worker and Karine has been helping both myself and a group of teenage girls to learn how to surf. Her genuine passion for surfing and teaching really shows and I believe that is what helped the girls to relax and give it their all. She explained things in a simple, fun and friendly manner. R.Karine gave me my first introduction to surfing. I was quite nervous but Karine was so calm and reassuring that she made me feel comfortable. I enjoyed it so much that I went on to book a family session with myself and my 2 kids (7 and 10). They loved it and have been asking for more lessons. Karine is relaxed and friendly which makes all the difference.
We have never considered ourselves to be "surfers" but since the lessons we have bought a couple of boards and we now regularly go out as a family. We will definitely be booking more lessons to top up our skills. Thanks Karine!
