Went in today as a pair of Vans I had bought had a problem. Was stunned by the Amazing customer service and friendly reception I received. To my huge surprise, without hesitation they did a full replacement of the product. Of Special mention was Adam from Vans (hope I got the name right), who happily stopped to assist even though it was clear he was on his way out to lunch. And Matt, behind the till, who honestly made my day with his friendliness - what an asset to any store.

The only shoe store in the mall where the team are engaged and interested in customers. Yestrday I had visited 2 stores prior Platypus and was ignored at both stores Footlocker and ???. My daughter Zara suffers from ADHD and it is always a hard task to take her shopping as she always needs to be moving around. We initially dealt with a young man with beautiful jewelry and pearls on his cap who sat down with Zara and chatted about Paw Patrol (I was impressed at his knowledge) and we were able to find a pair of shoes for her within 5 minutes, A task that usually takes 30 minutes on a good day. We also spent time with a beautiful young lady with brown hair who was so smiley and cheerful. Me and my daughter will be returning to drop of some chocolates next week.

Don't normally write reviews but just have to say that Kristen was absolutely wonderful today, immediately stopped what she was doing behind the counter to help me find some shoes, super helpful and friendly give this girl a raise!!!

Excellent selection of shoes whether work, casual or sports. Great professional and friendly service. Definitely recommend.

I'd Like to highlight an experience I have had with Platypus after lockdown, I brought some shoes over the lockdown period and my son was turned away for a refund as they did not have a card to do so , I was told to come back in a weeks time. I was initially pretty upset with this as I had driven all the way from Mt Eden. I went back in on Thursday to see If I could do the return and was welcomed by Holly who was the sweetest girl who helped me. I then dealt with the manager who had this crazy flame hair-do which my son thought was so cool. He was super apologetic about the refund card situation and explained it further and offered me a full refund. We had a really nice chat about lockdown and the emotional challenges that come with it. It was nice to know that their are young people in Aoetearoa who have an open mind like him. I didn't quite catch his name, but I just thought I'd say thankyou for turning an unpleasant situation into a pleasant one.

I was looking for trainers for my daughter. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. Good job team!

I wanted to thank one of your amazing staff (I didn't get his name unfortunately!) but he worked on Sunday 11th of June midday. I was looking to buy a pair of docs 1461 but Albany didn't have them in stock. But your staff helped me pick out the right size and checked the other stores for stock. It's just how customer service should be, but he delivered it well by being patient and transparent (good communication). Newmarket Platypus please take notes and learn customer service from this store!

Great customer service and store vibe. Popped in when they opened just to browse and the manager on duty was engaging and funny. Walked out with 2 pairs of shoes and 4 pairs of socks. Keep up the great work team

The customer service here was absolutely wonderful. I was served by a very cool, fashionable man with a beanie and red vest (loved the fit btw) and he was incredibly helpful & knowledgeable & good at explaining as well as friendly, approachable and relaxed. Even other workers in the store were aware of not getting in my way etc. Lovely experience, and I got some good shoes!!

Amazing service both online, call centre and at the Albany store. Bought shoes online, were too big. Received fantastic service from their contact centre. Checked store's in my area & the availability of the shoes I wanted. In store the team were also super helpful, no issues having to exchange or if I chose to opt for a full refund. Highly recommend Platypus

Nice shop selling skateboarding shoes & Basketball shoes. Also baseball caps and small items. Staff are lovely and engaging and helped me buy a pair of Vans.

They don't pick up their store phone?? The service was a bit strange and the people working were very aloof, kept walking away while I was trying shoes on. But I got some very lovely shoes and got some sort of good advice from a nice girl working there. I'm not sure how to feel, but maybe they were just having an off day. I also suffer from anxiety so im very sensitive to noise, and music was quite loud. But they weren't to know! I just think it would be better to keep the volume down a little bit :)! I do recommend shopping here as its good prices, but i think its like Russian roulette everytime someone goes into the store 😹

Hayden the Manager is very helpful and accommodating with all my needs. He is very patient and has a very good customer service, no wonder why all the other staff are also nice and have the positive vibe in the store.

I have just bought several pairs of shoes at Platyus Albany. I was served by new store manager Charlotte and I have to say that she was amazing. I initially purchased two pairs that due to my rushed decision were too small, so I returned them today and Charlotte spent a long time with me, helping me to select the perfect colour, shape, and brand for my foot. Thank you Charlotte. !

I Bought shoe n next day I wore it after few hours it was hurting from inside sole then I went there explained that pair is not perfect made so They changed to another pair after rang to Manager . best service thanks. I Will buy again from this place .

A shoe shop for someone looking for casual street shoe. Converse, Vans and much more They have the best range ive seen.. i could have easily spent hundreds in here. Friendly staff... we were approached straight away. Offering discounts and point out sale. Good stuff

Very impressed with the friendly staff and grateful that I was able to return a Christmas present and get another item in return for my son. Made my day!!!

The shoes are okay but the staff at Albany are so rude rude they dont say hi or smile they dont talk to me at all that what they work on is good service im a bit disappointed at the staff at Albany to be honest
