I took my mountaineering boots in to be re-soled. They gave me a quote and indicated when they would be ready when I dropped them in. They were ready when they said they would be and the new sole looked very good. Today I took them up Castle Hill Peak for six hours of mixed terrain, including scree, snow and ice. I wore new crampons on them for four hours and they handled everything perfectly I am very happy with the work and materials. Many thanks team!

I had a pair of tramping boots resoled after the original midsole deteriorated due to hydrolysis. Turnaround was slow but I had read previous reviews so anticipated this would be the case. Quality of workmanship is best described as rough but functional. About a week after resoling, one of the replaced soles seperated again after a gentle half day walk. I returned them for repair which was done at no cost (as it should be), though turnaround was again painfully slow. Although given a different colour job ticket for the follow up repair it seemed that my job was added to the end of the queue and not given any priority. When I called to check progress after about a week I was told that they couldn't find my boots and they'd call me when finished, which ended up being the following week. Unfortunately this sole has now seperated again for a second time, and I've opted to glue it myself rather than go another couple of weeks without my boots. One thing I did find quite off-putting was the aggressive phrasing on the job ticket around risk and responsibility of repair. I get that some people can be quite unreasonable when dealing with these types of businesses, but I found this to be unnecessarily negative.

Brilliant shoe repair shop in Papanui. Had my favourite shoes repaired. Well experienced in all types of repairs. Certainly worthy of consideration should you need your shoes repaired. Parking is around the back. You can't park out front as it's too busy being Papanui Road.

Recently had two handbags repaired, one which I thought was probably beyond repair - both have been expertly undertaken and the repairs are seamless with the original, very impressed and would highly recommend for similar repair jobs

WOW what amazing service I received at Bennett’s. A new puppy is playing havoc with my shoes and a new expensive pair were deemed un-repairable by another company. However the guys @ Bennett’s have not only repaired them but have now taken on another expensive pair of FitFlops that I thought would also be junk. Great work - cannot recommend more highly 👍🏻👍🏻

Found this one on Google maps and it got good reviews. Me and my friend had one each of broken boots. My with a big hole in it and my friend with leaking snowboard boots and we only have one day in Christchurch so we asked if they could do it the same day. No problem at all. It's like 4 old experience shoemakers behind the desk and they all look like they know their things, they also had this young lad who also looked he know his thing. Great service and great job

Took some favourite asics tiger trainers in to be resoled which was $75. This was a fair price and they did a good job but they took a lot longer than advised (about a month) and didnt once get in contact re the delay or when they were ready. Collection system was very disorganised. Additionally they did not replace the inners which were worn through with holes. Yes i didnt ask for this but kind of obvious and a phone call to check would be good service. Bottom line they are good if tou are patent and very specific.

Professionals. Having seen this outfit a few times over the years for a range of things the end result is always satisfying. After the initial hiccup in finding the new venue in town, once there they helped me by selecting the right type of polish and sent me on my way.

Extremely clever craftsmanship! I've had many many shoes resoled - from Onitsuka's to Hiking boots and dress heals - had a new 'slipper' (lining) put in 2 pairs, stitching rédone on leather shoes and my leather wallet, and bought dye just this week to refresh my suede Gazelles! I do love shoes, have a fair collection, and couldn't recommend anywhere more highly in Christchurch!

Fantastic place to have my shoes, and a leather satchel, repaired. I have now had 4 pairs of shoes re-soled, to an excellent standard. Also, recently, whilst having a pair of slip-on shoes repaired, the elastic under one shoe's tongue was accidentally split, which the staff at Bennetts repaired at no extra cost! I call that great service. Thank-you once again for your friendly and very professional service, I'll be back!

I chose to get my bag and shoes repaired here because I like to support traditional local businesses. It was nearly 3 weeks before I got a text to say my goods were ready. When I went to collect, they had only repaired the bag and forgotten to repair the shoes (although had charged me for both jobs). So I had to wait nearly another week for shoes. Quality of work was ok in the end.

I thought I had ruined a pair of shoes, the heels were so scuffed! I took them in and they rebuilt them, they matched the colour and it looks so good. Definitely worth getting them fixed and not throwing them out to buy a new pair

An awesome repair of an expensive and much loved leather backpack. Repairs invisible with addition of matching leather toggle an added bonus. I can’t praise this company highly enough!

The soles of ugh boots had perished. Bennets said they could not souce replacements so contacted the manufactures "Kiwi Sheepskins" who delivered a pair of soles to my door. I took the boots and soles to Bennetts (who sent them to Auckland to be stitched) and they came back like new. Very affordable. Well done Bennetts!

Disorganized- but can’t fault the workmanship- boots went missing in store despite there being a reference number for them, it took around 3 weeks & not the time marked on my ticket- had to put pressure on to get them done for an event I was attending. Maybe phone ahead & check the wait times.
