I wasn't expecting to find a watch I liked. As a result, Danby, the boss, told me that I just had one today and it had not been put into the online store. Thank you very much for Danby's patience. There was just the watch I was looking for and the price is very good, Auckland's only physical store for used watches.

An excellent little shop with a wonderful selection of beautiful watches. When I turned 50 my partner gave me a Rolex, and she sourced it from About Time. Our 13 year old son is turning into a watch guy and he proudly wears a Tag that his grandfather passed down to him. It’s a 30 year old Tag and the strap has come loose twice now. Each time we’ve taken it into About Time and they’ve fixed it without charge. That’s proper old school service. We enjoy popping in so we can check out the Daytonas!!

These good folk surprised me with their generosity this morning. I brought my son's watch in for repair. They put in a new spring bar as well as a new watch strap saver which I'd forgotten he needed. All this was done quickly and at no charge. We're very grateful, and would recommend them to anyone in need of watch repairs.

These guys really care about watches, and their customers. Took my vintage watch in for a battery replacement and larger strap as it was slightly too tight. They ended up swapping the clasp out for a larger genuine Seiko one at no cost. Very generous!

Incredible service. Popped in for a battery and they did it while I waited. While I was waiting, a customer came in to inquire about some watches and it was evident that the staff are very knowledgeable. My watch was ready in a matter of minutes but surpassing the prompt service was the fact that they didn’t charge me anything. I would have been happy to pay for their time and materials yet they insisted. Now that's 5-star service.

Went to the shop the other day as I needed help to remove one of the permanent link of my vintage Submariner bracelet. Staffs are very friendly and knowledgeable, special thanks to Marcus who sorted out my issue. I can now wear my beloved watch with its original bracelet again with pride! In addition, they stock a bunch of nice high end Swiss watches from Rolex, Omega, etc and can also assist in servicing watches too. I wanted to change a watch strap for another one that I had. The lady that helped me was superb. Incredibly helpful and she changed the straps over in 10 minutes and didn't charge me! I will be buying my watches from About Time in the future. A small gesture but very much appreciated. Thank you so much.

Always great service. Most recently they didn't have a watch strap for one of my watches and suggested I get one elsewhere and they said they would be happy to fit it for me - it took a while to get the watch strap and they did indeed then fit it for me and would not charge me.

Happened to walk by and went in to inquire how much it would cost to remove a link from my bracelet. They did it for free! In 5 minutes! Would definitely recommend checking them out for servicing, and they have a great selection of classic and vintage references from high end brands.

Always a pleasure to visit this shop. I'm not really a watch person, but there is always something of interest to see. The staff are friendly and knowledgable. I'm really grateful for the help they recently gave me in resizing the bracelet for a Tag Watch, all done promptly and with a smile. Service the way it should be.

I went into this place. I thought I'm nobody I've got a much lower version of a Tag than say the beautiful Omega and Rolex watches just to name a few of this wonderful place. Very friendly and they adjusted my watch band for my Tag free of charge. How many people do that anymore? No drama...very competent staff and I saw them interact with other potential buyers. Class place but without the snootiness.

Excellent store with an impressive selection of watches. The quality of workmanship is top notch and the customer service is great. On top of this, their prices are realistic, fair and somewhat flexible. If you are looking for a used or vintage watch this is just about the best place in Auckland to be!

About time are the absolute best of the best. Chris was incredibly helpful from the minute I walked in. I brought in my Husbands watch for a repair - it was missing a shoulder and Chris said to leave it with him and he will see if he on the off chance has the part for this vintage watch. Sure enough 10 minutes later I get a call that my Husbands watch is fixed and ready to be picked up. I cannot recommend About Time enough. Don't waste your time by going anywhere else!!!

I took my 30 year old 'Y-link' strap TAG Heuer Chronometer in to get assessed today, as the clasp pin seemed broken (not able to close properly) They took it for half an hour and returned it to me with the safety clasp straightened and the pin working again. They also said they probably could source a new clasp if it breaks again beyond repair. When asked how much I owed them, they said "a Google review". Fantastic service and highly recommended. Go here first if you have an issue with a decent watch.
