D.I constantly receive the most amazing customer service from this store. But today my expectations were exceeded. I was served by Edward, he is truly a customer service super star. He was knowledgeable in products and gave me several options. Such a great representative for Animates, well done having him on your team, he really is a star. J.Customer service is a bit average here. The retail area has stock control issues (pandemic, so I get it - part of it at least). I'll try elsewhere before I come here, but will still come if I have to. Animates had a great idea with the "full service pet store" but the key to success with a concept like this is effective execution across all facets.
A.Tried their Dog wash. Great idea. Easier than bathing the dogs at home.
J.Thought I would place a review on Liz at the Botany store long overdue but extremely deserving a posit e review .After being help copious times different matters, equipment, food, worming and flea treatment Liz often quizzed me too ensure it was the correct product for correct animal, often this was done with a lovely smile, Liz is absolute delight to deal with honest, compassionate , informative with depth of knowledge and continues to learn and has a wonderful sense of humour. She is asset to the company

I was reading the reviewer by “Luciana Marin” what a nutter !!!! how can you be a racist by asking questions , sadly some people place reviews that should not be able too do so, the review reads to me as irrational and unbalanced in there intent of a review is malicious in my view. I hope the company responds in defence of Liz
And to be honest if you felt underlying sarcasm , most likely it was deserved.
I am also perplexed how one can say you were laughed at, as I thought mask wearing in the store was mandatory, maybe again a result thought process from a nutter and unbalanced person.
Y.Polite staff members, lots of products which are usually all stocked. The thing is, it’s way too expensive. I can buy the same toy for way cheaper! 25 dollars for a little plush toy is not worth it, the duck toy sheds fur. Found the same toy at warehouse, which was 10 dollars. Impressed by the staff, but the prices are beyond expensive.
J.I had a new litter of kittens and needed help as one of the kittens wasn't looking great. I had no idea what I was doing, I spoke with Liz on the phone and she gave me some incredible advice, and support around how to help the kitten and directed me to an amazing group, East Auckland Kitten Rescue who have since helped support the new litter with mum. Thank you Liz, you're amazing, so helpful, great advice.

R.Jade was very knowledgeable and helpful about the choices of special dog foods. Shop is well laid out and with the friendly staff, a very pleasant place to shop for your pets! We have been regular customers for well over 10 years. Their rewards system is also very generous.

A.Great customer service. But I seem to always have issues with the fish I buy from here. Would rather go somewhere like Hollywood fish farm for live stock. But other than that, awesome store and I love going there.

A.I took my dog to the groomer here. She was fabulous, caring and did an excellent job. As I arrived early I decided to look around and was impressed by the range of pet products and the wonderful staff.

d.This review has been a long time coming. We LOVE coming here. Mostly (completely) because of the staff. Our dog is obsessed with EMILY! She is so good with our rottweiler, we can hand her the leash and walk away without a second thought. She is a thousand percent his animates mommy. The second we walk in Emily is there and our boy is In heaven. Also eed a shout out to Marc! He has been so much help, and I'm sure that man could be a veterinarian. The whole team are fantastic but those two need to be named as family to us.

A.Shot to the bro that gave me and my sister and her best mate awesome help in explaining what halti to use how to use it correctly, even though we know how to use them hehe but he was clear, covered all bases, and wasn't a hoha hovering over us like some people do. V.All foods, pets house alots different kinda animals who have it all in store but only display different kinds fish available only. No more like dog, cats or mice or birds no more in store but all animals move out wild life keep in together animals still available in shop or online search nz

J.Slightly overprized for my liking. If you are a member you can save quite a bit, so if you are regularly here I would definitely recommend the membership. Some of the staff are super friendly and helpful others simply just rude. Had good and bad experiences there regarding the service, so I guess its a bit of gamble.
B.Samantha gave great service when I brought a seat belt harness for the dog (fur child.) Sam fit the harness and the dog's mother was very pleased. The dog also got some treats. Sam also gave directions to 2 other stores and gave great advice on what to buy there.
H.stuffs are very friendly and they help out alot. you can see they very much care for pets when you talk to them.

F.Animates botany is a very good store I have spent many years going to for my pets to buy toys and treats they enjoy greatly. However, my family want to adopt a kitten and we inquired about one in the store and were told it would be available about 3 days later. This turned out to be untrue as the kitten was sold a day before the said date that worker liz, said. This was very upsetting as it felt we had been lied to. We then inquired about kittens that shared the same room with the kitten (which we were told the wrong genders of) and were told they were not available till the meet day. This seemed unusual as all 3 kittens were together and the one we wanted was allowed to sell prior to these. Whether it was miscommunication or lying, staff are otherwise very nice however I now second guess my trust.

Y.Love Animates. Minor rant is they do not sell pipettes for all their types of flea and worm treatments. They did sell the Broadline in pipette form but not the Advance so we went elsewhere for all. Just saying as we would have preferred to get them from our fav store Animates.

Wellness Core preium dog food NO WHEAT NO GRAINS NO CHICKEN BY PRODUCTS NO CANOLA Salmon & white fish great for dogs who are allergy prone and who scratch for no reason. Liz there is the best she know so much and fab in her role.
