Even thou the store and their other locations were out of the product i was after, they were extremely helpful with making sure i was able to locate my cats food which is prescribed by vet... The staff at this branch called my partner and I regarding my missing cat Scrappy. They believed whole-heartedly that a cat that had been brought in was my boy, and were genuinely excited for us as Scrappy has been missing for two years. To the store manager Kat (I think that’s her name!) and the rest of the staff working, thank you so much. Even though it wasn’t our boy, just knowing that people cared meant the world.

Visited the store before lockdown and was assisted by Gayle from the vet reception area, she was SO helpful in finding my dogs new food. Kind, empathetic, not pushy, just a lovely kind person who went over and above to look after me. Unfortunately my next experience with this shop was a 180. I did an online click/collect flea treatment purchase but wasn't sure if my points had been added to my account. I phoned up and asked the girl if she would mind checking for me. Her actual answer was "they should be". A retail assistants job is to 'assist' people, and she was so rude, sighing and sounding extremely inconvenienced when I asked her to actually look it up to confirm (hence why I called in the first place) Maybe Gayle should teach her how to be helpful and actually do her job.

You guys are more then amazing. The pet shop is clean and the wonderful woman in the store are more then supportive in your time of need. On the vet side of it not only did you try everything to save my much loved kitty and best friend of 8 years but you helped me say good bye and gave me all the time I needed before he had to be prepped for pick up. And the support you gave myself and my oldest is more then I could have asked for, no one like saying good bye to a much loved family member. From the bottom of my heart thankyou 🐾❤

This branch is my favourite to visit. Staff are really helpful and friendly. They often do really good discounts on premium cat and dog food coming up to the best by dates and you don't want to miss these, such great value. Love this store!

Fantastic Staff friendly & Helpful I went in to get my Dogs nails clipped For my Dog 🐶 this is like going to the dentist. The vet handled my dog with with love & Respect They were excellent when it came to acknowledging his anxietys. Highly recommend there vet service's. I really appreciated that there was no judgment toward the breed of my Dog 🐶 (Red nose Pit bull)

One of my favourite places to shop. I have 2 dogs, 2 cockateils and about to get some tropical fish. I love animals and I've always found that the staff are always very friendly and helpful with there animal knowledge. I shop here alot and I cannot fault them on there expertise. Great service and they have quite a range of fish. (Hubby is a fish fanatic). You can also order specific fish if they don't have it in store. I feel like the knowledge of the staff have come a long way. A few years ago, it was rare to find staff that could answer all our questions but nowadays they are pretty good. I also like seeing the other animals, and correct me if I'm wrong but they are selling on behalf of the SPCA?

Absolutely amazing team of staff here, helped my partner and I adopt our new cat, everything was super easy and friendly. Wow Great selections of foods, wellness and bits and pieces for fish/amphibians, cats, dogs and many other creatures besides. Cat cages, dog cages/boxes for 'homes' or transport. Toys and treats. Enhanced in-cage and in-water things that stretch the imagination. Many creature zones well labelled. All well lit and colourful. A massive warehouse of goodies. The challenge to find Animates arises from their almost invisible presence amongst other retail, banks and food places within the Lincoln North Centre across from the Lincoln Road (Universal Drive) Pak'n'Save. Plentiful parking adjacent to near- neighbour KFC. Animates team members are helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. They honoured the Price Promise without hesitation... and happily explained a massive range of benefits of Animates' loyalty membership.

We took our puppy for Puppy Preschool here and I have to say it is worth the $125 I spent. That price alone is enough to justify the one advice that Gay told me on our first night attending the Puppy Preschool. That advice truly changed our lives and our puppies behaviour around the house. Also special thanks to Manasa who was also there to help us train Spencer. You guys are the best!

I could honestly spend hours in this place and still be content at the end of it all. Biggest animates out West but disappointed they did not have any puppers. Having said that, we were actually there to look at fish! Honestly they had a great range of fish and fish products too choose from. From neon tetras to danios to normal goldfish!! Animal heaven!
