S.Good pet shop wide range of items. They usually have a few kittens and pups to look at. Really aweosme dog grooming area. Great staff,offering holds with the animals and generally knowledgeable in the products the are selling... the grooming area is soooo cool
S.Love the service, click and collect service is seamless and very efficient, I love that all information is emailed and then on arrival at store all info is also posted on the door. So simple.

Without a doubt she has your pets best interest at heart and is switched on, efficient and has the ability to multi-task and manage staff professionally. Thumbs up to a great operator!

F.When I walked into westgate store it was packed full of weekend shoppers but they were handled quickly and efficiently. All tills had operators.
Then the next wave came the staff were handling customers throughout the store and the que got long again. But the staff were friendly and helpful. Some had to wait in line but that is retail for you and then there will be no shoppers for a while and then change back to busy. Great work team

a.So pleased with our experience adopting a little mouse for my sons 4th birthday tomro. The lady who served me really cared about giving me the best knowledge of looking after him and didnt force me to buy more then what I needed which was nice. Thanks animates westgate.
R.The young girl that helped me this morning. Darn it I wish I saw or noticed her name tag, she was a blonde girl so bloody helpful. Nice to have great customer service from a young person who takes pride in serving customers. She went out of her way searching for a dog biscuits that both her and I at first could not find. Very helpful even asked if I needed help taking to my car. Very apologetic when having to serve customers, knowing I was waiting. I see good customer service and I really appreciate it. I'm just gutted I did not get her name.
G.Its ok. The decision to move away from providing for customers with cats & change of the loyalty system effectively wiping out any points you may have had is a big negative for us. Friendly people who help where they can - mostly you have to find them - but when you do they are helpful.
T.This team is amazing!! I am never let down when I come into this store. Every single team member spends the time to get to know you and your pet and it makes for a pleasant shopping experience. I would recommend this store to everyone and anyone and I think the staff members should be so proud of the environment they've created. There does seem to be a new face every so often but they never cease to amaze me with their customer service. :-)
P.NEVER SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THEIR LOYALTY SCHEME, COULD SHOP FOR YEARS OR AS MY FOUR LEGGED FAMILY MEMBERS WOULD SAY TWO EARS BUT NO BENEFIT ON THE LOYALTY FRONT.
IT'S LIKE A ROBOTIC PURCHASE IN STORE. YOU HAVE MORE CHANCE OF WINNING THE LOTTERY THAN GETTING A LOYALTY BONUS.
B.They have by far been the most helpful pet store I have come across yet! They were very professional with my pet adoption, explaining everything to me, and gave me a fantastic deal getting all set up for my new pets. They did made a mistake with the sale, but were more than happy to fix it and help out again the following day.
E.Great store. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Pets appear to be well cared for and comfortable. Most cats are pet rescue on the behalf of gutter kitties or SPCA. Store has dog washing facilities, and pet scales. Dogs are welcome in store on a leash. You can bag your own cat litter.
They no longer hold animals except for fish.
S.What a great store and the staff are super helpful and friendly. We now have a small Zoo from Cats and Dog(s) to Fish. There is always a member of staff on hand to offer advise if you have a question regarding pet care. Oh and a great range of products on sale too :-)

Large pet store with a host of pet products and cute pets to adopt. The staff know their stuff and will run you through the requirements of your new friend and will make you aware of the commitment.
Great range of food and supplies for all sorts of animals as well.
B.Great pet shop with a full range of supplies and amenities. They have food and toys for every type of pet you could think of, dog grooming, and the self-service dog wash is always clean and topped up with shampoo (unlike other animates I've visited where the dog wash regularly runs out of shampoo).
If the dog wash is busy there's a nice waiting area too.
T.One of the best stores in Auckland! The store assistants are all super passionate about animals and don't just have knowledge on pet care but also know there way around different products. I have come in a few times now to get advice on my new puppy who is struggling with potty training and picky with foods. Amy the store assistant i mainly spoke to was super lovely and really good at connecting with people and was able to recognize me and help me again when I came in next time. There's just something really cool about how someone like Amy can build rapport so quickly!
I bought my puppy in yesterday to get her first groom. Hayley the groomer was super sweet and i cannot commend her enough. She was super gentle with my girl and even attached cute little bows to her ears afterwards. I hardly recognized my sweet girl afterwards! Just check my before and after photo! S.Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The range of products are great and price points reasonable. It can be hard to get service initially but once you do staff are totally focused on your needs
I.This is my Go to for the little ones at home Goku, Tigger and Chewy - staff in store are so helpful as well.

J.Animates is a great pet store but I cant help feeling Pet Stock is more affordable with a slightly better range. They do have a massive range of Zee Dog leads and collars which will keep me comming back.
S.I'm so impressed with this store, I went there recently to switch up my cat's food. We are going away from supermarket brands such as friskies and whiskas etc. and onto something better for him. The lady at the counter was so helpful by telling me that if your furry friend doesn't like the food you can bring it back and swap it out for something else- that is so awesome! Turned out we were thinking he may not be responding well to it but after talking to someone on the phone (just now) we figured out that it is actually the opposite! He likes it too much and is scoffing it and then coughing up the undigested biscuits he was trying to cram down. I've already noticed a world of difference, his fur is even softer than it was, he doesnt nag for food anymore and he is very happy. Thanks guys xx
