C.Over the many years I have dealt with Simon and his crew, I have found them to be efficient and more importantly intelligent in going about their jobs on my boat. I highly recommend them as people you can trust to do a good job.
P.It this always changing world, It's nice to see a change for the positive and HMB Electrical service has gone up for sure this summer, I have used them a few times lately and I have been very impressed, keep it up :)
G.I have had a few dealings with HMB over the past 5 months & found them great to deal and their pricing fair. Their receptionist & staff are easy to deal with & have a can do attitude which i find refreshing. The forward booking I made to have a light fitting replaced was done on time & without a hitch. I am more than happy to recommend HMB👍
H.Simon and his team were absolutely amazing. We had a rush job which required pulling out our yacht and putting her on the hardstand overnight, and getting some equipment ordered quickly. Simon arranges for his team to get everything fixed with the least amount of fuss and also managed to get some non-urgent work completed. Even if you're not moored at Half Moon Bay, it's worth the trip to have Simon and his team sort your electrics. We're now berthed in Westhaven but we have more electrical work that needs doing and we'll be going to HMB Marine Electrical to have it done. I can't recommend them highly enough.
G.We had an issue one morning with our winch which we needed sorted quickly as the boat was needed that afternoon. Job was done asap along with some good advice on sorting the issue more permanently going forward. Can't fault the service or the workmanship.
B.I have dealt with HMB electrical for 30 years.
I sail a Davidson 35 and after 30 years of ownership the time had come to make sailing a little easier and upgrade the equipment.
Simon, Neil and team have in the last few months installed a new capstan, raymarine GPS and autopilot. They repaired the electronic voltage regulator, and an annoying alarm created by an amplifier failure on the sail drive water sensor.
None of these jobs were straight forward and their successful completion has provided significant improvements to life on a cruising yacht.
I commend HMB electrical for their friendliness, standard of work and the "go the extra mile approach"
t.HMB electrical did a great job tracing some dodgy wiring to and from my smart charger. Once this was understood they rewired the eng alt to a new regulator and installed a new battery. Both alternators now are independent as they should be. Top job!
Furthermore decided to upgrade from 80A Bosch w next step to 120A Balmar w 614 reg.
HMB removed old alt, modified spacers to improve alignment on Balmar w dual belt, checked, run up, set reg, job done by 5pm.
Very happy.
