P.Probably could do with more big size clothes as most had already gone or not stocked.. needs clear signage and more checkouts even though I did not wait long.. happy cheerful security guard means happy shopping 👣🤙
L.Large store, clean and tidy. Love the longer opening hours and normally visit well after the crowds and traffic have gone at 9pm, so parking is never an issue. I left my Xmas shopping a little late this year as working through so unfortunately there was very little of anything left … it was messy too so looked like someone stole Xmas 🤣😊 Hard to find staff members some times, love the price check kiosks and product range is great variety for my teen daughter. Love the self check out too - harks back to checkout operator games as a child 🤣. Always a first stop for anything we buy. Many products we’ve bought are still going! Need to monitor sanitising bottles as two separate visits and there was none left in either dispenser.
K.Your typical K-Mart with all the items you need. Compared to Sylvia Park branch, this store is tidier and cleaner. All the goods are well kept.
S.I love this shop a lot and it has very good bargains. A bit disappointed with the fact they have such long lines outside Kmart (social distancing) But when you get inside the shop, nobody at all is social distancing (especially in the checkouts!) It just doesn't make sense!
V.Best KMart of the few Auckland wide, have frequented all stores. The staffs readiness to help, and tidy store wide sets this store apart. All other stores have opened and emptied products, strewn along shelves. Generally untidy.
R.Have a large range of products at Albany store. K-Mart is a good example to show Cheap doesn't always mean bad. However Anko is the only brand available now as they have stopped sourcing products from third parties. While this makes them unbeatable with the price quality of some items seems to suffer.
T.Awesome. Finally found my dress travelled from Manurewa. While I was there found great Christmas decorations that I had not seen at my local Kmart stores. It was worth petrol and travel over the bridge.
S.They don't have many clothes for older girls anymore but everything else is decent and you can find a lot of handy fun things around the shop.
K.Staff were super helpful. I went to this store to have ink tags taken off of items that I had ordered online and arrived with the tags on.

L.It's Kmart... Busy and sometimes hard to find stock, but good prices. I'm not a fan of their web order service - stuff arrived separately or suddenly they couldn't find stock (yet still available on the website).
P.I was very well taken care of by two wonderful female assistants. One of the assistants took me to different departments to help me find what I was looking for. Ten points for both ladies; I'm sorry I didn't get their names.
G.K-mart has a wide range of products. Their products are affordable and usually pretty good quality. They are world renound which means the store is always busy and bustling, this can mean that it does get crowded sometimes, but the stores are spacious and big. However, the store has a really random layout which means that you can't find your way around the store. a lot of the products are placed in very weird places. over all K-mart, Albany is a good enough place to shop.
C.Requires you to scan in and have to wait in a line before entering, doesn't take too long to wait especially during the start of December surprisingly. Pretty much the same old Kmart, recommended it for Christmas shopping and etc.
G.Helpful staff and quick lines - unlike Sylvia Park. A lot of product and was able to walk out with exactly what we needed.

S.Kmart Albany is probably one of the stores I like visiting the least. On my last visit it looked like the store had been ransacked. The shelves were all empty and the store was a mess. Also a store that always seems to have a que that winds around the checkout stations. Compared to other Kmarts this store always seems to be really badly merchandised and overwhelmed. I can only hope that they work on improving things.
B.Great prices, just be careful though, quite a few prices on the shelf don't match what you pay at checkout or online.
S.Items are budget prices yet pretty reasonable quality. Click n Collect a bit disorganised, long wait despite being emailed and texted time yet another 40 mins wait in the car. Nevertheless the girls attitude was alright even though busy.

C.Hate the shopping experience but the products seem to last extremely well. Many of them have the highest customer satisfaction and the positive reviews seen very accurate. Unavoidable when you want to try something you are not yet certain enough about to spend a lot of money. Many of these Kmart items became our must have favourite appliances. Years of use so far and when they do break down I will be back for more.
B.Your standard Kmart experience. At the moment during Covid time. Long queue to get in most of the time. And most popular items are sold out.

J.It's great for inexpensive everyday stuff, but don't go for quality, designer gear as you will be disappointed. Checkouts are in the middle of the store, so queuing in Covid times can be unnerving with people standing right around you, less than 1 metre away.

E.K-mart is okay. Wouldn't be my first choice of store to go to. There seems to be a lack of tidiness of the displaying of products especially in the beauty and health. The quality of products seems to be alright. This K-mart is open until midnight which is nice. The layout of the store could be different.
S.Store good, staff great but shelves missing a lot of stock.
E.I like the range of items that are available and the open hours are a bonus.
Downside is there isn't always staff around the store to help you or answer any queries (mainly only at the checkout and you'd think with how messy the shop gets they'd be tidying shelves and making sure all appropriate stock is available and in it's correct space).
Also not keen on the fact they can't order an item they've run out of from another store so you can pick it up from there.
Myself and many others in the hibiscus coast community would love to see a Kmart open up in the area, possibly Silverdale with all its new developments, as I'm sure people also drive from Warkworth and further to visit the Albany store.
M.Always pleasant to shop here. Great products, and friendly, helpful staff. The store is clean and always have enough trolleys available.

S.Visited later in the evening which is definitely the optimum time as it is quieter, the queues shorter & even non existent. A problem with the tag meant I was helped immediately & able to complete my purchase without holding up anyone else. Weekends tend to be a bit of a nightmare for all these reasons - queues, busyness, parking etc.
S.Great for finding things for a flat or house at low cost
L.Great place to find doggie Christmas prezzys if you are looking for that kinda thing.
P.Kmart has never been the same since late last year and not in a good way.....the warehouse is better
C.Seems like a cesspool of covid but always super cheap, tend to walk in trying to find something but end up walking out with something I don’t need.
i.Affordable prices. And the best thing is they are open till midnight. I wish people would do more decent shopping there as if you visit on weekends most of the time the place is quiet messey as shoppers do not care place the goodies in the respective shelves specially on women's shoes section leaving more work for staff .

K.It was hard to find the items I was looking for. They seemed to be out of stock of a lot of different sizes and styles of men's clothes. Also, the store organization was a little hard to understand. Good products for the price (for the most part). On previous visits they have been out of stock of basic kitchen items such as coffee mugs. It's a busy location and there seems to always be lines, but the staff and self checkouts make the line move quickly. If the line is too long, I just leave.

G.I recently bought clothing from the store. Unfortunately I dropped my wallet in the changing rooms. I am old fashioned so not only were my cards in the wallet but also a considerable amount of cash. I realised I had lost it when I got to the checkout and imediately went and asked if it had been handed in.To my relief the Iady working the rooms had found it and had given it to the supervisor. Well done that lady and Kmart for employing her. I hope she gets a promotion.
N.Needed cheap cat toys and bed, great pricing and plenty of stock.
E.Great shop, with nearly everything you need, from lollies and toys, to kitchen and household items, through to clothing and shoes for the whole family. Some good styles and many new to NZ looks for you and your house.

K.Great selection of products but empty and messy shelves make shopping harder than it should be. The self-checkouts are incredibly packed in, making it the most hectic part of the store. However, their online shopping solves most of these problems!
V.Pros- cheap and cheerful, wide selection of mostly quite impressive quality goods. Cons-super long queues to checkouts, not enough floor staff if you need assistance.

Seemed a lot better when the checkout was by the exit and better staffed. Fell they are saving on staff costs at the expense of saving a buck and customer satisfaction
C.Super clean, super helpful and stacked with your every need! Staffs always really helpful and well organized, however theres often a line so long it snakes right through the store. That being said checkouts generally quick and painless :)

B.Cheap stuff at cheap prices. Never had a wait issue as I judge the time before I go. Kmart seems cleaner that the Warehouse. I do worry about their labor conditions for staff and where their goods are made which puts me off from shopping 99% of the time.

S.It's Kmart... you know what you're getting. Its fine for cheap homewares and toys - but keep your receipts because whatever you've bought will undoubtedly break. The website feels like it was made by someone who was intentionally trying to annoy customers.
S.You know we all love Kmart but jeez it gets busy and jeez stock disappears. On our most recent visit the shelves were bare... we found one thing we were looking for but the rest 🤷♀️

G.I couldnt find what i was looking for. They dont have the soap dish that i need. It would be nice if they have more choices. But its lovely to see lots of other things in kmart -cheap price. Its just a shame it doesnt have what i need today

L.Like shopping at kmart, you get what you pay for, cotton clothing will have shrinkage and not high quality but you have to expect that. Brought a deck chair to watch some sports for a day, cheap but surprising good quality metal and fabric director type chair. Very comfy. Brought singlets, bras, tees, pajamas for elderly mums new season wardrobe boost and she was very happy with the bright colors. Usual hectic chaos at the stupid checkout system they use. Good easy to see covid-19 QR code at the entrance.

h.Perhaps the time of year but shocked at the poor quality of clothing here. Who buys such rubbish. Of all the Aussie stores in NZ this would have the poorest quality. Other products mediocre. It worries me how much stuff we import that doesn't last and ends up in landfills.
W.Bad customer service!! One of the workers lied to me that the humidifiers are out of stock and said I have to go to saint Luke's or some other kmart over the bridge if I needed one asap. Just on my way out of the shop I saw a whole lot of them!!

D.There is insufficient checkout to support the size of the shop. Even midday shopping excursions during the working week in the middle of a school term are met with queues snaking around the store!
The selection of merchandise is also simply too wide for the physical size of the store and the approach of simply adding more shelving space has had the effect of making it more of a bazaar than a retail outlet.
P.This is a lovely dog friendly flat walk with achildrensplayground at the primaryschool the grand kids love it and want to go there when staying with grandad.
J.It’s a Kmart - don’t expect help on the shop floor or the products to be life long family heirlooms BUT if you need that salt shaker or towel rack at 11pm on a Wednesday night... you know where to go. During peak times you will have lines longer than some traffic queues but they move pretty fast so don’t expect to waiting longer than 20 mins but in rush hour... you will be waiting 20 mins.
J.Well it is what it is, busy with people buying cheap stuff and ques for days. I decided to buy some items online, they got split into 4 different couriers and one item was never deliveted although it said it was. It was an $8 pair of track pants for my 3 year old so couldnt be bothered with the conundrum.

M.One of the best well presented K-Marts that we've been too and one we always pop in when in Rotorua. Shelves are always well stocked and staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Other K-Marts could learn a thing or two from this branch 👍😀

B.Good store for when you are shopping on a budget. Good for cheap kids clothing. The checkout system could be better. The layout makes it had for most people to see around the corner on the customer service desk. This can cause a huge queue of people. Might be helpful to post a worker on the corner letting you know when a checkout is free.

A.Not enough stores available across the city. Checkout system is good but struggles to cope in busy periods. Plastic Bags still available at Checkouts, thank God.
Stock levels very high. Mens jeans good quality and insanely affordable. Finding staff on the floor to assist not a problem. Will shop again.

You can, if your lucky, still see the tiny fingerprints from the sweatshop, child labour, workers fresh on the barely dry toxic painted toys they would love to be playing with if only they weren't working 80 hours a week. A.Hard to find customer service staff as they are always too busy. K mart should look to open up another store somewhere in takapuna or glenfield. North shore population has increased quite a lot hence there is opportunity for k mart
E.Chaos as always. Messy and long queues with inattentive staff, self service checkouts are a pain as they need to clarify that gift card payment is not actually gift cards at all, that's for store issued credit notes it seems.
I try to like Kmart but its always stressful, which means I spend minimum time in store.
Once I found a $50 note in this store. Took it to the checkout to hand it in. They took it. Said it would go out the back incase the owner came for it, and what do you know, they never took my details, and so I don't know what happened with this money and they may have never handed it to the rightful owner either.
J.Good place to visit to buy things, but there may be massive line if you are buying it's best to hurry like write down a list and then find it and get it line before anyone else goes.

This shop was well stocked on the two visit over the holiday season. However it was a bit of a mess with shelves over full after the new year.

S.A great place for almost anything you need. Where else can you find good jeans for $8? And the quality well its still lasting and its over a year now with the colour still the same. Thats just one of the things. Plus they have added longer trading hours.

A.Always get great deals here, although it's 50/50 whether the item will disintegrate in a week or last for a decade.
S.Their opening hours of 8-12 a.m. is really convenient for some emergency buying. The place is well lit and easy to find what you want. Their stationary section gets kind of messy so it's best to check in time and again and buy just when they put new things up. The prices is cheaper than other stationary stores, I think. I find it's best to search on their website for stock availability first before going to the store to see and buy the actual product. They have a great baby section, too. Also a whole section dedicated to active wear. It's best to check the condition of the product before you buy just in case there's some damage to it that would make you not buy it.
h.If you have never been to kmart it is a must! Suuuuch gooood deals!!! Albany kmart is my go to, it has a very good selection of anything and everything!

M.The place is fine. The issue I had is that their website shows items in store which have arrived but not unpacked. So, poor work in the information department.....
R.We often go to Kmart as the products are pretty good at a reasonable price. I do find that having the checkouts in the middle of the store with a long meandering queue is a bit odd, but we've mostly gotten used to it now. If you're looking for cheap but nice then this is the place to go.
g.The queue is only getting shorter because people are dying of old age.

N.Great that they stay open till late but as always you have to keep a keen eye on the till when you go through as often what you purchase is dearer than it appears to be. I find their marked down items are displayed with similar items that are not marked down causing confusion and overspending if you aren't watching.
K.Great range of fast fashion and homewares. Always pretty tidy considering how busy it is. Would score higher if their checkouts weren't so ridiculous- the queues often make us give up and leave

S.Nice and big really good prices for all most everything there. It gets pretty rather busy but the staff normally start managing were people go at cheak out and that helps a lot. Have never run in to any issues there even returned an item with no invoice and it was no problem at all. Even forgot my wallet and they held it for me while I ran to the car, giving priority when I got back just really nice and helpful.

Not because things are pricey but because you always end up spending more time &.money in the store than you'd planned too because things are reasonably priced. Needs a better system for the line when there is a large queue - makes for difficult shopping when you have to weave amongst people waiting for checkouts.. unfortunately this isn't restricted to the holiday period.
B.Convienent with extended shopping hours open Monday to Sunday. They have loads of options for clothing, homeware, house hold goods, small furniture, kids/baby toys or accesories and personal grooming, tech, stationary and pet grooming. Prices are reasonable and wait time in queue's are not long.

M.I love Kmart so much. Everything has great bargains, and doesn’t seem to break, even after constant use. I have a couple of decorative pillows, which haven’t broken, and I’ve had them for a while. I also purchased a pair of ear buds for $2! They haven’t broken, and I’ve had them for a couple of months, and they even came with a 12 month warranty. It is a great store for all the essentials, and even some luxury items. They offer a whole range of different items, from home decor, to sports equipment, to clothes, and even hygiene and beauty products! Overall it is one of my favourite stores, and my friends and I go quite often, as we love all the deals and products.
K.I love this track, great for the family. Can cross the road and your at Orewa beach. Multiple restrooms throughout the track. Stop in at millie's cafe and get yourself a coffee.
B.some good selection In all the areas of home and dining, you know the sort of stuff you would find in a Briscoes. but me being that type of person found a lack of lollie selection for the reasonable price and quantity. you would find 2 kg bags for like 7 dollars, and you would find little 12 gram packets for 2 dollars. So all in all a ok place.
D.Cheap and cheerful. Too crowded and under staffed. Payment queue was moving in a decent speed despite the silly length of the line, or rather spiral than a line.

A.Their shops looks modern and stocked with plenty of stuffs. However, I feel that their design is exactly like their st lukes store; and exact replica, where the same items is located at the same spot in the store at both store. Though gives familiarity to their patron, I does feel that once I get into one of their store, I've been into any of theirs. Staff members are quite friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
K.It's a Kmart, you know what to expect from them. The queue for the checkouts is often very long, but it tends to move along at a decent rate. I can imagine it being a lot longer during peak shopping hours however. Not somewhere you are likely to dash into and out of again.
T.Wide selection and some of the cheapest prices in town. If you've ever been here you know what to expect.
Beware though, sometimes the queue can go half way around the store. The price you pay for good quality, cheap goods.
A.Good variety. Competitive prices. Flexible return policy and good customer service. Opens till midnight which I really consider a competitive advantage in NZ where life sleeps after five 😂
S.Love to shop for home decor stuff, want good prices ? From Home Decor, to kitchen utilities, small furniture, fake plants to clothes. They have it all. Best of all its open till 12 AM most days, if you wanna avoid the traffic.
N.Always find what you want here. Would have been 5 stars but the queues are always extremely long over the weekend. It would be a much easier and lighter shopping experience if the queues are not that long

T.Can't get personal help here just do it yourself. Plastic boxes for storage had multiple lids that were broken not a good look.
M.Great for setting up and shopping on a limited budget. A good alternative to IKEA. Expect the same quality. Wear a sweater 'cause they have the a/c on crazy high. Choose you shopping chart wisely otherwise you will be wrestling with it for the duration of your shopping experience.
R.Just like many k marts it is complete packed during the day. The staff are patient, constantly making sure every isle is clean and almost every customer is catered too (there are only so many of them and so much more of us). But I can always trust the Albany k mart to have everything I'm looking for in stick. Unlike Henderson.

The tills are self service but badly designed so the head of the queue cant see the tills so have ni o idea if they are empty or not. I've walked out with buying my chosen items before as till queue is too long and slow.

D.This is the go-to shop for my 12 year old daughter for everything! They have a great range of products at quite good prices, and often have good sales meaning she can get more value for her money. I find the single-queue foe the checkouts an interesting concept but it really works well;very rarely do you have to wait long even when the queue seems to snake halfway round the shop!
N.Great click and collect service during level 3 lockdown. However during level 1, place is an absolute mess, very busy and not very friendly staff.

S.Great place to shop for everyday living needs and essentials. The only issue I have is I feel sorry for the staff having to pick up after some of the lazy customers that look, pick up and throw items on the ground especially in the clothing department. All in all it's a great place to shop.

J.I like this shopping centre but had so much trouble finding it off the motorway heading north from the harbour bridge.
I also had problems with the lightening, the smells in the shops and the load music in the stores. Must be getting older but had allegies and sore eyes and sneezed the whole time I was in there. Wasn't pleasent. However only go once every 3 years on average.

T.I love Kmart. It's always busy and not enough people on the counters/self check outs. Those machines always have issues so it would be nice to have more than one person there to help at busy times.
D.They are good and have lots of things, like everything in one place (except food 😉). However, what I don't like is the way of payment. Sometimes loooong queue because there is just one path for all costumers to pay. It's a silly mistake, Kmart administration.
You have to make several lanes for paying with a separate lane for self checkouts.
M.You find lots of things here for a fairly good price. They also are open late hours which means you can shop after work and have lots of parking space available. The only thing that troubles me is the long lines while waiting to pay for my shopping (applies on very busy hours only).

J.Full of landfill but you already knew that. It's great for what it is, but don't expect the products to last long. I shop here for the odd thing like facial wipes and cereal containers and really can't go wrong with simple things like that.
p.Great items with costs that wont break you budget however some of the boxes are ripped or opened already.
W.wide selection of items, very spacious and diverse, can get a LITTLE messy on saturdays at 5pm, pretty good overall. biggest peak was aidan darlington, he made it so much better

K.I like KMart. It has a wide range of reasonably priced department store products. It's also great for unexpected items like stationery ... so much more affordable than specialty stationery stores.
J.A big shout out to Carlene, the lovely young blonde lady working in sporting section yesterday afternoon. I noticed what appeared to be either a big puddle of juice or wee on the floor in one of the aisles and could see it had been walked through several times from the track marks on the floor. I mentioned it to one of the staff who was not interested and looked like she was having a bad day (fair enough it was a busy Christmas period), so I mentioned it to Carlene who was packing items on the shelf nearby.
She sincerely thanked me for letting her know and and immediately went to get items to clean it up, which she cleaned promptly. She was so lovely and polite, even when it meant cleaning up someone else's mess, especially if it wasn't juice :(
Kmart should be proud to have staff like Carlene working there... people with a great attitude and who go the extra mile... very rare these days!!!

C.I love browsing the place, see ideas for deco and the cheap items but I never actually have the patience to buy anything. The long queue discourages me everytime. It opens until late so I might take my chances in the evenings when it's less busy.

The place gets a bit hectic at times, but all things considered, the staff do a pretty great job at keeping everything running and tidy as possible...it's other customers that create the problems by tossing stuff on the floor and moving product to other areas of the store....but alas, I still love a good shop at Kmart.
J.Always a great experience until reaching the checkout. Current self checkout POS system is clunky and relies on supervisors intervention too much often causing an unnecessary backlog of customers. An example of a self checkout POS experience that Kmart could learn some lessons from and is likely to work better is The Warehouse self checkout. A lot more responsive and streamlined experience. Once again great shopping experience in regards to product range but until the checkout experience improved I shall keep those 2 stars.
e.Not bad but the line for paying is weird and people cut you off and not much cash sales options
J.Usual Kmart. We all know Kmart is the most affordable place for stuff - I particularly go there for Kids cloths, shoes, toys, gift items, some cheap home-ware etc. For Albany K-Mart, I would suggest go in weekdays after hours (as its open until midnight), rather that on weekends; as its literally a mess on weekends - difficult to find your size, color /pattern options from the pile of things lying around. I wish there was some staff around to guide customers if needed.
m.Price is always good however hardly have staff look after me when the self service cashier not working with my card payment. I try to find a staff twice but it was so busy. I stood there for more than a min. I finally moved to another cashier and finished the payment and left.
B.Best shop ever! Lol. Great prices for a range of products from clothing and underwear to kitchenware, pots pans and kids toys. Big range of products. Products generally seem good quality for fair prices. One of our familys favourite shops :)
G.Typical Kmart nothing majorly different than other stores but has a great selection of stock from toys to clothes to garden to home. Nice place to pass the time plenty to see and do friendly staff clean not over crowded. Plenty of parking opens late nights always have in store deals and discounts

K.All sorts of groceries can be found here and most of them are very affordable options. Some, however, only come with decent but not great build quality, but you get what you pay for overall.

We had to return a defective product and the service was seamless, only would've hoped to swap for a working unit instead of money back, but there was no more stock.
A.The website stock doesn't seem to be accurate, few products I was interested and showed they had in stock at the branch, when I asked, they told me they don't have in stock.
Price is good but a bit messy their sections to find what you are looking.

A.Went to Kmart to buy a rugby ball for the kid. Price was great compared to other stores, but it would have taken an hour to get to check out. Left the ball and went across the road to the Warehouse.
T.Easy to browse, friendly helpful staff when you need assistance. No issues when a product is faulty... although we've only had one in 20 years of shopping at Kmart.
