This has been my go-to place ever since I started wearing makeup. I still remember purchasing my first ever makeup product here in 2019. I was a bit nervous because I didn’t know a thing about makeup at the time, & I’ve heard that certain makeup stores can be quite condescending. But this was far from the case with Mecca Queen St - the staff were extremely patient, understanding, & helpful! The shade they found for me was absolutely perfect (NARS, Barcelona) and all these years later, it’s still the one I’ve stuck with! A true testament to the skill & expertise of the lovely makeup artists there! The team are always incredibly friendly and recommend products which I have repeatedly purchased and stuck by throughout the years! Whether you’re a makeup artist or someone just starting out with their collection, the lovely team at Mecca Queen St will be of great assistance! 🙏🏿

Went for the soft glam natural look and the make up artist assigned to me was amazing! I felt so welcomed and at ease at my session. Thank you so much Mecca Queen Street.

i came in to get a new foundation matched for my skin tone and I was recommended a fantastic Bobbi Brown foundation by the worker there. got the recommendation to a get a concealer of the same brand and i love the results of it the staff was super friendly and helpful about any questions i asked them. would highly recommend :)

Great service, and staff don’t “push” you to buy anything. The one in Willis St in Wellington has great service and samples too. They allow you to apply make up if you have vaccine certificate. Only branch I’ve been to that sells Charlotte Tilbury in stores and has big range of perfumes too. The one at Commercial Bay has smaller selection as it is a pop up. My only gripe is that popular colours and brands sell out really quickly in store and online. I prefer buying in person to try on colours but to avoid buying fakes. I really hate make up shopping in person as some salespeople can be a bit pushy. But shipping on their site is cheap, tracked and fast (no free samples from online shopping like Sephora though). Clean shop with good natural lighting - the one in Newmarket is quite dark and crowded. Best branch in Auckland I think. Close to public transport, near a busy intersection with loads of foot traffic this time of year

I had a great customer experience today at Mecca Queen St only because I was served by Paulene while others were unbothered to greet when I walked in or looked unapproachable to help. I had approached Paulene and she was more than happy to answer my queries on the make up and skincare (eye cream's). Plus, this was my second time in a row getting served by her after like two months. She was so helpful and super friendly. Mecca needs more staff like her who knows about the products as well as friendly & patient at the same time. This good rating is only for the great customer service by Paulene today. Thanks! :)

I had "Joanne" or Joanna? do my makeup application on Wednesday for an event and she really went the extra mile with applying it exactly how I wanted :) she was really kind and patient with me, I would highly recommend her for a makeup service! it looked flawless and lasted the whole day/evening

I came into Mecca Auckland a couple of weeks ago and was served by a lovely girl whom I believe her name is Megan. she was very helpful in finding me the perfect products. Unfortunately whilst I was in store I did seem to react to one of the products but Megan stayed amazingly calm and removed it off my skin right away. Another lady, Alex also came to help by suggesting a recovery balm for me to use on my skin in the mean time which worked so grand and calmed my skin instantly. I came in again today to get the balm as I instantly fell in love and I had the pleaser of being served by the same girl. I absolutely love the staff and professionalism at Mecca. you have defiantly made a life long customer.

This is the best makeup shop in Auckland. Thats what you call Supreme in any aspect. Absolutely amazing staff very kind very helpful, always give any samples and even 2 instead of one. My favorite shop hands down, Sephora need to learn how to make customers so happy. This shop on Queen street is my favorite it is so big and it is a real Mecca of beauty. Staff is incredibly professional. They never into your face but always there if you need them..Tasters are decent size with stickers and they always give a full jar of products to try , sometimes even 2 jars no matter how expensive product is. Unlike greedy staff in Sephora who will put a drop of the product in their tiny taster jars which will be hardly enough for one application. Every time I come here I want to stay here forever)) amazing , outstanding, superb! Only one thing I wish they have sales a bit more often)

Been in the beauty loop level 3 for consequentive years... Thought to try out the complimentary makeup for the first time. My makeup artist was lovely and awesome. She did a great job with the look.. however I wasn't completely satisfied with the overall makeup. I did raise my concerns at the time that my makeup was coming off by a single touch but I was assured that it needs to set. However, it didn't last thoughout the photoshoot I had patches missing due to my efforts to keep hair out of my eyes. With the beauty loop gifts being just samples and a complimentary makeup that isn't really worth $120. Makes me question what's the point... Definitely changing stores for some of the products as I don't need to keep up with the beauty loops.

Was in the store last Saturday and the person who helped me was this lovely lady called Storm, she was super nice and had amazing customer service. She was also very patient and knowledgeable with all the products she was showing me and just made my experience really good there. I personally felt super comfortable shopping and she deserves all the praises :)

I had the best makeover experience with Hannah at Sylvia Park! She is so talented and made me feel absolutely beautiful for my night out. Others in the store were complimenting how good a job she had done, 10/10 would recommend and will be back! Thanks Hannah :)

This is overdue, but I got my make up done in the end of June by Maisha and HOLY COW. She did the most beautiful job ! I will be going back to her again and again ! She is extremely talented and genuinely such a lovely girl. As a black girl I was very skeptical to come in and get my make-up done for fear that someone would incorrectly colour match me, etc. Walking out of there with the best face of make-up in my life was not at all what I was expecting! Would definitely recommend coming in to get your make-up done ! Cannot sing Maisha enough praise.

Girls are nice. Although I don’t like them all up in my space especially if I’m looking and reading the product.’ Place clean and tidy

Great customer experience at this store. A couple recent occasions I visited and required assistance, an attendant named Storm has been super knowledgeable in recommending products suitable for my complexion and texture and testing ranges to suit, and at no point did I feel rushed through the process.

Mecca is such a lovely place to visit whether you are buying makeup/skin care or just to look around. Service is always bubbly and friendly - today I received a lip gloss sample as soon as we walked in the door which was awesome, as, in other places, no samples are offered to me simply because I’m male... they have literally said “for ladies only”. Great to see that awesome service is all inclusive!

My daughter had a facial booked for me and we had Nicole for our session. She was so good and pampered me. Thank you Nicole 🙏 will surely be back soon.

I love the customer service here, very friendly staff, they genuinely help and help you to find exactly what you are looking for. I love how the staff is always smiling and investing enough time on you helping you to find the right foundation. Mecca has the best customer service ever!
