We found the whole experience amazing. From arriving with preconceived notions of what we wanted to opening our thoughts to what would work best for us as we viewed each amazing rug. From learning about the history of Persian rugs and really appreciating just what goes into the making of each individual piece and then making final decisions on the four rugs we bought meant we arrived home without any doubt we had made the right choices. I contacted several cleaning services before The Persian Rug Gallery & Mo Salehi was the first to explain why the specific cleaning method would be necessary for the rug. I finally understood the rug composition, current condition & cleaning cost. Based on their professionalism, helpful advice & experience, my partner & I selected them to complete the service. My Persian rug, measuring 2m x 1.5, was in need of a clean and repair but living in Tauranga my concern was how to effect this. After a call to the Persian Rug Gallery in Khyber Pass, Auckland, I followed their instructions and was amazed how easy it was to fold and wrap. Cost of posting a pleasant surprise. Now back home and resplendent on the floor the old rug looks brand new. I found “Feri” incredibly helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Huge selection of rugs. I have been to few rug stores in Auckland but these guys have authentic Persian rugs and very knowledgable staff who take time to explain every rug and its history. After a great deal of searching their huge selection we purchased 2 rugs after taking few home to try. Prices are very good and realistic even on their sale items. No pressure selling here, great store and service.

We absolutely love our rug!!!. Having imported french lounge suits, we had a particular color fabric which needed to match. Moe was extremely helpful and suggested few rugs to try. We did visit few rug stores in Auckland but the quality and the vast selection of rugs they have is exceptional!. Great people to deal with.

The service was excellent. There was no sales pitch or pressure and we even took a rug home which we chose to reject once it was in our home. When we couldn't see a rug we were seeking they looked up on line rugs in Iran which we could purchase and this is where we spied our rug of choice. After contemplating for a short period of time we chose to go ahead and purchase it and only one week later it arrived directly from Iran and was in our home. The images on line were accurate and the rug was all it appeared to be from the photos. Fantastic service and quality rugs. We visited several Persian rug shops in Auckland and the experience dealing with the Persian Rug Gallery has been so much better - from the display of the rugs in the showroom to their willingness to bring their rugs down to Hamilton and spend an hour helping us make a decision. Seeing the beautiful Heriz rug and HosseinAbbad runner down on our floor was even better than we imagined - we couldn't believe how these rugs absolutely transform a room. We are looking forward to enjoying these rugs with our family for many years to come.

Fantastic service without a heavy sales pitch, just an interest in finding the best rug for me with a lot of patience as I worked my way through their extensive rug collection. Moe brought two rugs to my apartment and left them with me to think about. It didn't take a lot of thought as one was perfect. I am very happy with the rug, and the whole experience!

I first visited the Persian Rug Gallery at the end of June, just to look and was impressed by how friendly and welcoming Mo's dad was, showing us so many beautiful rugs and educating us. We have just bought a beautiful Kashan rug and Mo and his family were so helpful, delivering lots of rugs to try at home in the rush hour traffic! and letting us keep them for a couple of nights to give us time to ponder. The service from the father/son team was amazing, their knowledge of the history of the rugs and their personal experiences made it so much more meaningful. We recently renovated our 1970 style old villa and were looking for 3 large rugs for our living room, dinning and office. Mo, took his time to explain the diffrence between authentic Persian rugs and other varieties. After seeing their huge selection, he offered to bring 10 rugs for us to try in our home and suggested design ideas which worked perfectly for our villa. We could not be more satisfied with his service and the quality of rugs. We finally decided on 3 beautiful rugs from the city of Tabriz, Mashad and Moud. Each rug came with a Certificate of Authenticity explaining each city the rug was made and its history. Being a family owned business for over 30 years, they truly do offer the best service and quality rugs for anyone looking for authentic Persian rugs.

I recently purchased two gorgeous rugs from this gallery. Their collection is impressive in size and quality, with a good variation in price range, meaning there's something for everyone. The website is well organised and catalogued for ease of selection. The quality of the photos is high; zooming works well, colour is pretty true, so the rug in the photo really is the rug that ends up on your floor- except even better! When I contacted the gallery my queries were attentively fielded; Mo Salehi was more than helpful, and prompt in his responses. At the same time I did not feel any pressure of sale at any stage. I cant speak highly enough of Persian Rug Gallery Ltd, now a 2nd Generation family business in New Zealand. The story I have to tell is as follows: Having suffered extremely severe hot water damage in my house, my Insurers asked this wonderful Company to pick up my Persian Rugs, to clean them, assess the damage and to repair where found to be possible. It was then I met Mo Salehi and I was immediately impressed by his knowledge, expertise and above all, his considerable empathy. Later I had the honour and pleasure to meet Mo's father Mr Feridoun Salehi, who in my opinion has surely to be one of the Doyens of the Persian Rug Industry, having been steeped in rug weaving in Iran from an early age, attaining high qualifications and accolades there before arriving in NZ . I have been very pleased indeed with the quality of the repairs this Company found they were able to do for me. So much so that I have recently used them again for the cleaning, repair and valuation of some other Persian rugs I had, which were not affected by the 'flood', but were in need of some 'TLC' including a clean and repair - I am so pleased with the result. I rate this firm as one of integrity, honesty, and fairness.
