Alie and her team were super helpful. They managed to squeeze the install of our dog door into their busy schedule at very short notice. The installer who arrived was so professional and did an excellent job. My two little elderly dogs and myself are very grateful. I would have no hesitation in using this company again. A++

Alie did an excellent consultation over the phone and Greg performed the installation marvellously (with a bit of a show, actually), they certainly know what they are doing. Strongly recommend!

Definitely recommend. I had a medium dog door installed into my aluminum door. Alie was super friendly over the phone when booking me an appointment. Greg gave me a call when he was on his way and when he arrived he was very friendly. Greg showed me what the plan was and checked I was happy. Installation didn't take too long and then he showed me how it worked and gave me advice on teaching my dog to use it. Thank you very much.

Their communication was fantastic. The shipment was also super fast in comparison to other shops I’m purchasing stuff from these days. I bought a pet door hub from them and their price was the cheapest in whole NZ. I highly recommend Pet Doors R Us to everyone :)

Simply impressed. My expectation was that this is a small local business and so during a lockdown period they may be under pressure to get things done and so I expected a slower response time. My experience was the opposite with their systems aligned to provide real time confirmation of purchase and the shipping/delivery was very fast. Its uncommon to receive an online purchase within 36 hours. The packaging was great with attention to detail and a hand written note which is always well received. Both Greg and Alie are great to deal with and Greg's workmanship is fantastic. We had a good chat whilst he was on the job and he walked me through each step of the process of the glass cutting and installation which was actually very interesting to watch. His explanation of how the microchip cat door functioned was very thorough leaving us confident we could use it correctly without even having to read the manual. He also left me with a cat door for inside that I opted to install myself and happily walked me through how he'd recommend making the cuts and installing the door which I've just finished and it's turned out great (thanks Greg!). We're very pleased with the results and wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend Pet Doors R Us.

An absolutely fantastic service, right through from calling and speaking with Ellie to organise the installation to Greg performing the installation itself. Clearly explained my options and gave great advice. Friendly people. Thanks for even answering my questions and man the store on your day off. DIY fitted to louvers. I got some polycarbonate slats from a local guy in Birkenhead that cut to size easy as. Made a template out of cardboard, then used a router to cut the louvers to shape. Used a sneaky couple of pieces of bluetack to hold them in place as I slid the cat door into place. Once screwed together, that made it nice and snug. Not a bad effort for a competent DIYer.

Both Alie and Greg were super informative and helpful durung the process of getting a quote and during installation. Both super friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Installation was also super quick. Would definitely recommend and book with again.

We bought a large dog door for our two dogs and the delivery was fast and with no problems. As they experienced a computer breakdown at the time they immediately contacted me once they found the order - GREAT! These guys are very very very expensive. Very informative and helpful. Seem to know their stuff. But quote ended up being more than double than what I ended up paying with another company. It pays to shop around.

Customer service and looking out for you and your fur babies are their top priority. Pet doors have to be installed at the right height, accounting for all variables and these guys know their stuff. In June 2019 I purchased a microchip cat feeder. It arrived promptly by courier with added extras of 4x batteries and a cat toy!! Excellent service. Then in August 2019 I purchased two microchip cat doors. Alie was very knowledgeable and recommended the correct doors for my specific needs. Once again they arrived fitted with batteries and cat toys. Highly recommend their products and customer service.

You maybe thinking that their prices are a little above some of the other companies that install cat doors, however if you are looking for an honest, open, reliable, friendly tradesperson with exceptional workmanship then definitely go with Greg and Pet Doors R Us. You really do get what you pay for and I would advise to proceed with caution with some of the glass companies offering pet door installations.

Not only did they fit me in so close to Christmas at short notice (which I know wasn't easy), they talked me through a few options for my situation and we agreed to go with a more cost effective option for me as it was much better suited to my situation, even though initially I wanted a more expensive one!
