Definitely recommend. I had a medium dog door installed into my aluminum door. Alie was super friendly over the phone when booking me an appointment. Greg gave me a call when he was on his way and when he arrived he was very friendly. Greg showed me what the plan was and checked I was happy. Installation didn't take too long and then he showed me how it worked and gave me advice on teaching my dog to use it. Thank you very much.

Their communication was fantastic. The shipment was also super fast in comparison to other shops I’m purchasing stuff from these days. I bought a pet door hub from them and their price was the cheapest in whole NZ. I highly recommend Pet Doors R Us to everyone :)

Simply impressed. My expectation was that this is a small local business and so during a lockdown period they may be under pressure to get things done and so I expected a slower response time. My experience was the opposite with their systems aligned to provide real time confirmation of purchase and the shipping/delivery was very fast. Its uncommon to receive an online purchase within 36 hours. The packaging was great with attention to detail and a hand written note which is always well received. Both Greg and Alie are great to deal with and Greg's workmanship is fantastic. We had a good chat whilst he was on the job and he walked me through each step of the process of the glass cutting and installation which was actually very interesting to watch. His explanation of how the microchip cat door functioned was very thorough leaving us confident we could use it correctly without even having to read the manual. He also left me with a cat door for inside that I opted to install myself and happily walked me through how he'd recommend making the cuts and installing the door which I've just finished and it's turned out great (thanks Greg!). We're very pleased with the results and wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend Pet Doors R Us.

Clearly explained my options and gave great advice. Friendly people. Thanks for even answering my questions and man the store on your day off. DIY fitted to louvers. I got some polycarbonate slats from a local guy in Birkenhead that cut to size easy as. Made a template out of cardboard, then used a router to cut the louvers to shape. Used a sneaky couple of pieces of bluetack to hold them in place as I slid the cat door into place. Once screwed together, that made it nice and snug. Not a bad effort for a competent DIYer.

In June 2019 I purchased a microchip cat feeder. It arrived promptly by courier with added extras of 4x batteries and a cat toy!! Excellent service. Then in August 2019 I purchased two microchip cat doors. Alie was very knowledgeable and recommended the correct doors for my specific needs. Once again they arrived fitted with batteries and cat toys. Highly recommend their products and customer service.
