N.Big Big Thank you to everyone at Underground Surf & Skate. I was looking for a couple of very hard to find Skateboard Decks for my Daughter and the good people at Underground rang me out of the blue to let me know they had what I was looking for, they went well above normal Customer Service to help us. I can’t fully explain how happy my Daughter and myself where when received the great news. I just couldn’t believe how friendly and helpful they where to help us out with what we where looking for. We live in Australia, shipping wasn’t an issue & the decks arrived in quick time and where packed perfectly.

S.Amazing service. I would fully recommend this business to anyone. I had a few queries regarding their products & Tom was so helpful & so I placed the order on line. He promised me that the product would arrive overnight & it did. Their courier service was also fantastic. I was most impressed with the ease with which the whole transaction was completed. I ordered protective gear for my 7 year old grandson to use for skateboarding & not only did it fit perfectly but the product was of a very high quality & my daughter was also very impressed.

A.I asked a ridiculous amount of questions about boards and gear and these guys were more than happy to answer.
They let me swap out items of a board deal package to suit my needs and what's more they personally delivered the board and everything to Birkenhead!
Since then I've been loving the board they suggested. Absolute legends and excellent service. Give the finger to your other store and do your shopping here.
E.I'm not local so had to do all my ordering and questioning online. Nick came back to me super quickly and answered all Q's with extra info to ensure I've made the right choice - awesome service, will purchase again!

After some online inquiries, Van gave me a call and did an excellent job in assisting me to make a decision and purchase. Shipping and comms were all seamless and deal on pricing was excellent. Fully recommend and will go back to them purely due to customer service, let alone price on surf gears. Top notch shop, keep it up team!

Every time i called the shop i was passed onto Tom who helped me greatly with what i was after and even ordered in items i wanted, He made this so easy that i even ended up buying a body board and surf flippers too and i'm having a bloody good time using these.

M.I needed a paddle and called them if they will be able to ship it soon because I'm leaving for Fiji in 3 days and with couriers, you never know. Even though I live on the North Shore sometimes it takes them 3 days or more... Anyways James had told me that in that case, he can drop me that paddle on his way home after work. And he did it! T.Always worth the journey up to Orewa. Good selection of gear and friendly staff. Over the years I've bought several sets of skateboard wheels, shoes, hoodies and accessories. More often than not I find they'll have something that I wasn't planning on buying but must own. It's nice to be surprised like that.

Nick deserves massive props for being there for local skaters through the highs and lows. If you want poser gear it might not be the place for you, if you're the real deal this place is like home.

Sorted us out with great advise on boards for our summer NZ surf trip. Van was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when recommending the best boards for the upcoming forecast for the weeks ahead. At the end of the trip they offer a buy back option so if you keep the board in mint condition it makes sense to buy a board instead of renting for your holiday.
Nick was a pleasure to deal with and sorted us out with a good deal in the end.
My fiance was stoked with the clothes shopping on offer also.
Definitely the one stop surf shop for anyone wanting to kitthemselves out for a NZ surf tour.

S.Nick is so invested in his community, it shines through all his decisions, the staff in store reflect it well. When we were little groms we used to spend heaps of time in-store. I haven't seen Nick in over 10 years and he recognised me straight away, and was super helpful with putting together a surf setup. Even offered to call me at 7:30pm to help install the tail pad. Really good people, have put in the decades to lifting the community up. Couldn't recommend more
