I really appreciated the service I received when I came in at closing time last night to purchase a couple of last minute items for my house, as I had a friend staying for the weekend and needed more pillows and duvet inners etc. I felt very bad coming in so late and tried to rush through but the staff were so calm and helpful, even stopped to give me advice on all the different pillows and weights of the duvet inners, and showed me through the store. They went above and beyond to accommodate me. I was very appreciative and will definitely be returning to this store in the future. Thank you for your help :)

I wish you didn't have to play musical prices at Briscoes. . .no one shops here when there isn't a sale. . .the prices are jacked up so they can lower them to normal on sale days. . .everyone knows it. . .just sell it at the real price all the time. . .oh, and the sale item I was looking for, was out of stock. . .don't offer what you don't have!

I was looking for blue queen fitted sheets. Didn't have any. I was quite surprised how expensive sheeting was . Didn't appear to have any down- market items. However, a cashier girl put a lot of effort into checking their range for me and I was impressed with that.

Lovely and helpful staffs in Salisbury Street store. I asked a lady from the (Bush inn shop) to help me check does the thing what am I looking for in their store, her told me they don't have any in there and asked to me jump online to do the order by myself. So I took the bus to Salisbury Street store and ask the same question, the staff (Dicasha) she also told me they don't have any in there, but she told something very inpatient, is they have a Kiosk Instructions there, if I can't find what am I looking for instore? Using the kiosk, they will ship any standard item to you for FREE. And she helped me order it as well. I am so glad and lucky to got her help there. I wish I could meet the staff like Dicasha in every store.

It’s good to shop here as it’s close to my place. Parking is not a problem. The only problem is that staffs are not available to help when you need a hand and you need to go in the queue to the cashier to get help.

You can certainly get a bargain when the sales are on. Only issue I have, is with the exit gate. On two occasions, I have been nearly hit by people thinking you can drive in either gate so perhaps it needs a large sign saying exit only.

I've always loved Briscoes. It has the best quality cooking and kitchen gear around. You do pay more for the good stuff though, but I love cooking so I come here when I can afford it. It takes time finding exactly what you want though because the stores are so big and well-stocked. I end up doing a lot of searching, and usually end up buying something I didn't remember I needed... Before I finally find what I was looking for.

I was very impressed with the staff member who attended to my friend and me. The item we asked about was not in the bin in the size required. Our assistant went to the store to check on the availability. Another staff member came to let us know that our lady was going to another store next door where she had to get a fork lift to get our items off the top shelf. We agreed the service was exceptional.

Briscoes is another way of saying always on special, however if you want the specials online shopping is your friend because they hardly ever have what you see.online in store. Over all it was a bit of a let down as this is the third time I've been there to buy what I saw online only to discover they had none in store.

It is a nice big open store but when the item I found online was not available in the store or in CHCH they rang around for me and had it transferred between stores. They suggested this because online delivery for the size of item ordered would be too expencive but between stores is free. Ok I have to wait for the item but it was on clearance and at the price was selling out. Well worth asking at the counter.

If you are going to briscoes then you need house related stuff. Good range of items but some essentials you can get cheaper and essentially the same item at the good ol warehouse. High brand blenders and processers are great here (braun brand) and breville products. Watch for sales
