Excellent experience and service. I wanted to buy Samsung S21 and Harvey Norman was selling at good deal but there was only one piece remaining at Hornby store. I was attended by Rav and he suggested to go for Samsung S21 Ultra 5G as it had a really good deal with Spark plan. Rav was knowledgeable, helpful, patient and most importantly friendly. Rav explained the offer in understandable way while showing calculations on the paper. The offer was irresistible and only couple of pieces left in North Island but my current phone had died (no display ) so needed urgently. Rav even offered a spare phone till the phone arrives but by the time I decided, it was showing out of stock in all NZ stores. Rav went above and beyond to find one piece and rang in evening after getting one. I went next day for paperwork and was surprised to receive call in evening to collect the phone. Rav even helped with the phone accessories like screen-protector, case, anti-virus with a free charger. I had noticed that Harvey Norman stores have deals 24*7 unlike other stores having deals only during Christmas time, there's always a staff to attend and help. Thanks to Rav and Sunny for great service and product delivery 👍.

Staff always knowledgeable, helpful and friendly,, huge variety of items for sale, kitchen appliances, TVs computers...photo prints and they can put your photos on many different things,, cups, blankets,,metal prints ,glass prints. I just bought a back massaging chair online from Harvey Norman it arrived within 2 days.. great place 👌

Wow Lucy at the Hornby branch is just the most amazing sales lady. She spent allot of time and effort helping me to find a lounge suite and nothing was a problem to her when I changed my mind a week latter and purchased a totally different one. Bought a new Mistubishi Fridge Freezer,spent $1,699,however a little disappointed when I found out at the check out that Harvey Norman do not offer any Airpoints,could do with friendly staff at the check out,unlike Noel Leeming,should have bought it at Noel Leeming .

Looking to buy a great quality bed at a bargain price? - well go and see Brandon at Harvey Norman, Hornby. Brandon is one of the best sales people that we've come across in Christchurch. He politely approached us on entering the bed section and, took the time to listen and understand exactly what our daughter's needs were. He was extremely knowledgeable about the extensive range of beds available on the floor. He exceeded our expectations with his good handle on what Harvey Norman's competitors currently had on offer (saved us a trip from going there). The thing we most appreciated about Brandon was that he helped us to narrow down our selection very quickly. We didn't have to worry about information overload concerning the technical specifications etc. The only thing that we had to do was just like Goldilocks and try one bed after the other. All of our questions were answered with ease (and I especially asked a lot). Brandon welcomed us back for any future bed purchases and it's a no brainer for us that he'd be our first port of call in future. We were really impressed with Brandon from the beginning through to closing the deal. He was respectful of us as his customer's. He didn't make any judgements based on our budget or what we looked like (especially me with a hoodie, jeans, sunglasses (which by the way I forgot to take off - the family reckon I look like some gangster wearing them lol). He was lovely to deal with and my daughter ended up getting a really good quality bed at a great price. Thanks very much Brandon and Harvey Norman, Hornby! I'll be back! (next time without the sunglasses and the terminator questions lol).

One on the best stores in Christchurch, I don't recommend their bedding section as had number of issue from products to delivery. But electronics and furniture are the best to deal with. Only giving 3 star as bedding is service is not good enough. Don't forget the airpoints. Also ask for best price. Number of parking spaces.

Went in to look at mattress and base sets. Walked out with not 1 but 2 sets. The salesman that we had was very helpful but most importantly he was not pushy. He explained the items, walked away for us to chat, but stayed close enough that we didn't have to look/find him. Loved his humor

Fantastic service by Brandon Parker, we went in to just look at bed options after having done our own research. Brandon was very knowledgeable & and knew the answers to all our questions. He was not pushy & was genuinely interested in helping us find the right bed and asked us all the right things to work out what would suit our needs. After nearly 2.5hrs in store we came away with a new bed and all the extras for a very good price. Thanks Brandon, 5🌟 we will definitely recommend you to family and friends

Bedding department - Brandon. For the second time this year we have purchased a bed and base from Brandon (we didn't even both looking anywhere else) - exceptional customer service, worked through the whole process thoroughly and gave top level product advise and knowledge. Whilst the whole time not being push or rushing. Worked a great deal for us. Super friendly staff and management, thanks Brandon and Renee.

Wonderful service with Melinda on purchasing a fridge, dishwasher, waste disposal, range hood, hob and oven for our new house. She was excellent to deal with, very friendly and professional. We visited the Hornby store many times to check measurements, etc. and she was always so helpful. Service was wonderful.

Purchased a Dyson vacuum today and when I got it home I found it was awful. Left lines of dog hair along the carpet rather than vacuuming them up. Took it straight back, and they offered full refund but also some really good advice on a replacement vacuum. One that was on offer at $200 off, so I walked out with a really good vacuum, and over $500 of refund. Fabulous service, and that's what keeps me going back . 5 star service.

Big place. Easy parking. Was busy for Black Friday. Very helpful staff in whiteware. And Dyson rep made me hoover up the mess he made. Far better than our old vacuum.

We went there to specifically buy a product .....home appliances....and were roaming around the department for quite some time before we were asked by an assistant if we needed any help. If the item hadn't been on special we would have walked out. However once we got an assistant we were looked after very well and out assistant was very helpful.

Picked up a toaster, kettle and microwave in one hit. Unfortunately no demo microwave on display and the kettle (on display) was the last in stock. No extended warranty or shop soiled discount on the kettle. Picky? Perhaps, but if I owned a company like HN, I'd certainly be trying to please the customer who's just spent $800 @HN and not NL

We got excellent service from the staff member here; she made all the difference, went out of her way to give us what we wanted. Gave us great suggestions; definitely hope we get her the next time we go to Harvey Norman.

The staff in the Electrical Division were great despite not finding what we went there for. Their range was limited in the laptop /pc area & was more high end ware which is fine if that's what you want.

It's ok, small parking area outside it but there is a bigger car park across the road. There's a good selection of sofas and beds a small range of garden furniture also. Most of the staff are fine but we unfortunately got a miserable older woman. There is also artwork for sale in here as well. If ordering furniture for delivery try to get it done before 4pm for next day delivery. Electrial department are through the back.

Bought a fridge in ANZAC day and organised delivery in 3 weeks. Was promised it would be fine. However, just two days before the scheduled delivery date, I was told that the model I bought was not in stock and would not arrive from overseas until late June.
