Excellent service from knowledgeable staff. It was a real pleasure to be assisted by Andrew and Owen again today. They are always polite and helpful. The product range is huge from trains to slot cars and kits plus accessories and scenic detail items. I highly recommend a visit to this specialist hobby shop. It is a real asset to the hobbyist and we are lucky to have them on our doorstep in Christchurch.

I have been going to Iron Horse for over 20 years now!! A number of different owners but have always found them to be friendly and helpful. Not quite the largest range, but still very good a great store to buy your models at. The staff are very friendly, and are welling to take the time to open up a kit with you, explain what you will need to assemble it, and to make sure you leave with just about everything you will need. Excellent store for the novice modeller. Would recommend.

This is superb place to buy models of all shapes and sizes. To all the model enthusiasts whether that be trains, cars or planes it would be a great to check out Ironhorse Hobbies as there is (apart from trains and cars) also a huge variety of model aircraft, ships, tanks etc from a large number of military campaigns. They are experts and are able to provide advice on paints, skills required and the fun of building a model. If you have always wanted a train set or a scale model this is most definitely the place to go.
