Nice to browse around and things were in sections. Unfortunately there were 3 people in queue and 1 being served.Assistant was measuring out four bolts of materials and I waited for 10mins. They were other assistants in store at the time. The girl serving was still pleasant to the customers even though there was a queue. She eventually called for someone to help.

Its a Lincraft. Lots of stuff for your crafting, sewing, embroidering anything needs, but always a little difficult to find exactly what you want.

Fantastic staff who are very attentive and helpful, and honestly go the extra mile for customers. Cannot complement them enough, especially the (only?) gentleman who works there who has helped me figure out many times what was best suited for my crafting needs. Overall, there is a pretty good, reliable range of items; though sometimes some seemingly-random items are bafflingly overpriced (see $60 p/m linen, $12 for a few plastic buttons, $15 for 100g of acrylic yarn), many more items are reasonable, and sales have good reductions. Not all items are the best quality, but they are not junk either; I'd say things are pretty good middle-of-the-road in regards to price & quality overall, and I'd easily recommend Lincraft over its competitors like Spotlight, Knit World, Briscoes & the Warehouse. I can tell the store must be difficult to maintain item order in--as with all retail jobs--but the staff do a commendable job keeping things looking well ordered & presented, and the layout of the store is effective, makes sense and is easy to follow when looking for something due to signs + the layout. My only (minor) gripes are that the central shelves seem to be re-ordered a lot, and I never really seem to know where what yarn is going to be where each time I visit! There are also sometimes items across the store which are unlabelled, which is a bit frustrating as a customer (you have to go to the counter to ask prices as there is no price checker on the floor) but overall that's a pretty minor drawback. TL;DR: overall a good crafting store with a good range of items and options, and I recommend it as the best all-round crafting store in Christchurch for general creative needs.

Lincraft sells my favourite bamboo pillow. I've probably bought 8 so far and it's the only pillow I buy. I also like the prices and quality of the sheets etc. 5 stars mainly for the pillow

I agree with most of the comments here. Staff are friendly and helpful. And they offer a wide range of many different kinds of products. Besides cloths and fabrics, they have a DIY jewelry section which offers craft materials used for making self-made jewelry.

Love shopping there for crafts materials. Better organised and arranged than Spotlight, so asthetically it's a better experience and easier to find staff when you need help, but the prices are higher and you don't always find what you need so in the end you tend to have to go to Spotlight as well.

A very good and big shop that you can find a lot of goodiea for your home I mostly bought sheets ans pillows here but they have a wide range of knitting stuff, too (which I am no expert in that so have no idea) Overall, the quality of the stuff I bought was good, the price is good (but not the cheapest), and the staff are so friendly, too
