One of the best South Island bookstore that I visited so far. This is in reference to amount of choice of non fiction books that you can choose from. Most are of very good quality books from quality famous authors. There are also plenty of cook books that cater the different needs. If you register as paper plus book member, you can place order any specific books of your interest through the internet. Furthermore, customer service at the counter are excellent.

This is one of my favorite bookstores in Dunedin. The associates are friendly to everyone. My only issues with this Paper Plus is that there isn't a wide variety of books which I enjoy reading (don't get me wrong, there's a decent selection of books but my section is small) and sometimes there's needy people who can't seem to scan their own lotto tickets and demand assistance (🙄😒🤦🏻‍♂️) which takes up time and cause the line to back up because there's only one or two associates at the checkout. Completely not their fault, their associates try hella hard to juggle the needy people and people just trying to get a book.

The best shop if you are into colouring books and great sales. Customer service is a mixed bag. There are two shops in Dunedin, one sells books and the other mostly stationery. The lady at the stationery department needs a lot of customer service training. She is arrogant and can't be bothered to put on a little smile. Their staff isn't happy at all and the customers get in in the shop floor. Be nice, that is basic.

its a good place for books. also if you're looking for manga this is the only place i know of around here that sells manga. edit: since i wrote this they have expanded their manga selection a lot. their manga area takes up more space now. there's series from various publishers and genres. have a look and see what peaks your interest.

However, it is not because of the special business, but because New Zealand is fundamentally very expensive. Most things are imported and that makes them expensive. Selection is good and the location is very central. The staff is also very friendly. (Original) Wer Papier-und Bastellbedarf sucht, der wird hier fündig. Ehrlich gesagt, muss man schon hei den Preisen richtig schlucken. Allerdings liegt es nicht an dem Geschäft inm Speziellen, sondern daran, dass Neuseeland grundsätzlich sehr teuer ist. Die meisten Sachen werden importiert und das macht sie teuer. Auswahl ist aber gut und die Lage sehr zentral. Das Personal ist außerdem sehr freundlich.
