Nice place to hang around with a few food stalls for sushi and muffins and all for cup of tea. Kmart offers affordable household products, clothes, etc.

Tidy shop. I would give them a higher mark if the staff were more helpful and cheery. First most of them it's like the customer is doing them a favor, and don't ask me a question cause I really can't be bothered.

First time caller to K-Mart Hastings to purchase a birthday gift for a friend's child. We knew what we were after so we approached a staff member and showed her the product on our phone. They scanned the SKU number and when that didn't quite work out on their device, they went to the back to inquire with a supervisor. We managed to locate the item which was the last one on the shelf coinciding with the staff member and supervisor finding us to tell us they had one more in stock. Truly great customer service. Big ups to K-Mart Hastings. The lay out is much like other stores, maybe on a smaller scale to Auckland stores but still easy to find whatever it is your looking for.

Good selection of products at reasonable prices. Tidy, well-lit store and low waiting time. Highly recommend.

Open to midnight? Not sure if thats a good thing with safety and security. Three youths came from within the store and rode their bikes out! Wow 👀

They have so many things in here, homeware, clothing, Bath and toiletries, sportswear, furniture type things, decor, stationery. It's amazing and it's so reasonably priced. There is a good practice range of clothing and also more fashionable pieces. Just a brilliant shop.

Website is hard to find clothing for 8 year Olds sizes 10 - 14, has sizes from 000 to 10, jumps to adults sizing, felt frustrated

Nice cheap clothes and household items. Checkout is weirdly in the middle of the store and security is watching everyone as you walk out looking like they are going to ask for your receipt. All self checkout which is annoying. Good for if you want to save some money especially if they have a sale on.

I used the bookstore here to send a parcel away. The desk service woman is always helpful and happy

This k-mart is the best for your small things at home you need, I get most of my office products from here because they are so cheap but worth the while. They have a good range for kids, teenagers, adult any age could shop here. They have good stock. I am so pleased that there is a k-mart in Hawkes bay. I don't know what I would do without it.

I asked "door security" where to find my item of interest, then had a wonderful browse, till eventually reaching my goal. Yes. Kmart have friendly, helpful staff and heaps of stuff to enjoy browsing and buying.

Went to bbb, they had a sale on, even though i missed out on what i wanted They still have a good variety of products at a reasonable price range.

Shelves a bit empty and in some cases hard to find sought after good.

I shop at Kmart because its well priced. Unfortunately that's the only reason. There is next to no customer service, and staff have no product knowledge to speak of. But I will continue to shop there because its affordable. "You get what you pay for" I guess 😉

Searched for 'sauce squeezy bottles' as advertised online...advised only 'small cosmetic bottles' available in beauty and 'no stock available' by 2 staffers. Found sauce squeeze bottles in kitchen section after overlooking first time around 🙄

Yes huge of cheap kitchen stuff. A lot of choices of everything you need to decorate in your house.

It was good but unfortunately did not have what I was looking for.

Old building now, needs an upgrade for sure. Still like going to Kmart for the basic needs, and grabbing either a sushi/tank/ice cream on the way out.

Hardly any stock on the shelves, but I was lucky to find what I wanted.

It’s a Kmart, you know what you’re getting :) No fans were in stock during our visit but staff were nice.

I love coming here. Parking is easy. The late shopping hours makes it perfect for those who work late. Always find what I want and at a reasonable price. Bit low on staff is the only negative, otherwise low prices are always good.

Self service is good to use. The lady at the entrance/exit doing a great job with making sure people are signing in and checking people's docket with your purchases.

Every since remodeling has been Great. Nice open-plan design. Everything is bright/fresh, displayed Nicely. Staff are Friendly and helpful. Best part low prices on Quality items

I absolutely love shopping here, only online though as I do not enjoy using the self scans. There is something here for everyone. Plenty of variety and low prices. If you're buying online, you'll find the items are sent to you very quickly. I can honestly say I've found no fault at all with this store.

Gotta love this K Mart...large format store with everything you need at low prices. Also food business adjoining the K mart makes this a must do shopping experience!

Enjoy this store, but have always wondered why Kmart stores place their checkout near the back of the store, enabling shop lifting after the fact of paying. Prefer the old system, or at least front of store checkouts.

Lots of parking and friendly staff. We also have been using the Countdown online shopping for a while now and although most of the time everything works fine, other times we have to deal with an inaccessible website and other times with items marked as being "in stock", in reality are unavailable. For normal products this is not much of a problem, however it is for essential items like Lactose free milk, etc. I guess for these products, the system would not work well.

Nice cheap place to shop. Heaps of bargains if you don't mind sorting thru the piles of clothes.

Found most of what I needed pretty quickly, though maybe more variety in Halloween candy would be great.

Hastings hasn't any night life, and Kmart become a lovely place to laundering around at night.

Good staff. Music not stupid loud like other Kmarts visited recently. Noce and cool on hot day. Easy to exchange I'll fitting purchase.

Loved it. It's tidy and has lots of good things. I got some $8 jeans and some really cool cat toys. It's a self serve check out and it moves quite quickly. Lots of parking and nice environment.

Kmarts a great shop and asset to Hastings. I just wish there were staff to help direct you to specific products you might be looking for as in MegaMitre10 stores. Guess it is price based self search rather than service policy. Not complaining....only an objective observation.

It is KMart, enough said. It does exactly what you expect.

Was ok but I was just there to browse. Could do with a tidy up in some departments where customers have left things on the floor (which they shouldn't).

Easy to find things needed and staff are very helpful and lovelyhen you ask them a question.

Staff are much friendlier and efficient these days. The womens clothing however has gone downhill and is mostly all cheap tee-shirt material and badly fitting. The shoes fall apart on the first wear. Lots of great, cheap options for kids toys. Homeware section is my favourite! There's always a funky looking practical bargain to be had there.

Always love coming to kmart., they have good prices on almost everything. I love how it's all self service checkouts & if you do have a problem the staff are always happy & ready to help. Kmart also has a good range of items too, plenty to choose from.

Not a bad place to visit.a few other shops to visit aswell ..have a wide selection to choose from.t a bad haircut either

I've always gone to Kmart for all my things and even for all my sons things such as clothing and makeup. Kmart is a great place in my opinion to get gifts for other people even creating your own gift bags or baskets. I tend to go more to Kmart as there are great deals

Great place to shop. Good cafe too. They also have a tank outlet. They make the best smoothies in the country.

Great selection at amazing prices for clothing, kids toys, toiletries, outdoor items and confectionary. They have a small amount of tech gear; mainly cases, chargers and headphones, but in these cases you get what you pay for. All in all their great! The only issue is the confusing center kiosk where you pay. I tend to feel like a shop lifter carrying my items out from the center of the store.

Good decent size Kmart. Some good food spots for after your shop such as sushi, Indian and also a cafe 🙂

Great revamp. Once was ugly, cramped and untidy but after the revamp the whole plaza has really improved its appeal and it’s looking great. Kmart staff have upped their game too and are friendly and helpful. Always enjoy visiting this Kmart.

Great place for a quick shop. Kmart products have improved in quality. very good value for money and they are open late most nights. if you find this information helpful give it a thumbs up so I know.

This place has really cheap items, it's cheaper than the local 'The Warehouse' next to it. It seems to also have more items as well. I go here often and the wait time to pay is awful. There are about 5 self serve machines and only 2 (I think) were able to take cash. There are also ALWAYS very little staff around to help. I have never been able to find anyone to help and so as everyone else does, I have to ask a regular customer. Which is really bad. Still though as usual found everything I wanted. And you probably will too.

Same as all other Kmart shops in terms of set up and varieties. Good to have these varieties and a great place to shop if you are looking for different things.

We bought a whole lot of items, and they were very reasonably priced, much less than similar items elsewhere. For example,12 lovely fine tipped coloured pens for my craft for $1.50. Nice shop to look around.

Love shopping in Kmart My only suggestion is the website states they have items in stock the don't have at all. Also shows in their store when they check that they have them when they don't so wasted 3 hours travelling to get an item and left with nothing. Even had I rang it would have shown the same on their system unless they physically check the shelves or store room. Very frustrating after travelling.

Kmart is great, but at check out it's too busy. Music should be a bit louder so I don't have to listen to awkward conversations, crying babies and my wallet crying. Thanks to the cheap prices! Stuff sold is kinda cheap but it works. You get what you are paying for. I wish there was more direction of what I am looking for.

Alot of range and good value stuff. At this particular store, shelves could be filled more often, not uncommon to fund empty shelves/products

To be expected at this time of the year, very busy and shelves were getting emptied pretty fast. But I still like to shop there when we visit Hastings.

Hastings has changed so much since I lived there so long ago. So it's nice to discover some new things. This small shopping centre doesn't offer much appeal. I've seen many around the world.. It is very basic but serves it's purpose.

Visiting from Greymouth, with my daughter. It was lovely to shop there. Found a few bargains. Top and cargo pants for $12. Also a handbag, and some new lipsticks. Everything was displayed well. Changing rooms were nice and clean.

Quite well laid out, much better than the last time I was here 10 years ago. Self checkout system is good. Selection of basic men's clothing better than all other stores in Hastings. Shop was tidy and clean. Warehouse, you need to take more!

You go in to buy one thing and come out with 10. It's great. The location is in one of the last decent mini-malls around.

Great deals, you always go in wanting a toothbrush holder and come out with 20 items. Will be bittersweet when the new Napier Kmart opens because it's nice doing the drive out to Hastings from Napier and having all the good food places attached in Hastings store like the sushi, Wendy's and Pita Pit

Good shop but kids section could do with a good revvv up... rarely have the babys clothes your after and very limited range.. wish they would keep shelved stocked better.

I love Kmart it's my number one shop but there are alot of young workers that seem to think chatting about there holiday is more important than helping a customer. Still a great store just don't expect help from the workers

Nice premises easy layout, wide variety of products but I would like it alot more if the fabric of the clothes was of a higher quality.

Bought a ball for my dog. Great price @ 7 bucks and he has not made a hole in it yet. Great stuff for pets. May have to get him a raincoat for winter walks.

Prices are alot cheaper then the warehouse but our recent visit I was very annoyed and left embarrassed after being rudely blocked from exciting the front door by a female security guard. She blocked the trolley I was pushing with my 1yo son in it. She said 'wheres you're receipt??!!' very rude and only peered into the bag once before letting us through. Security is a complete joke. If they are going to stop people at least be consistent. But dont stop me 1 out of 100 times.

Found that the staff aren't terribly helpful and are often difficult to find. Went to the store for just a few thing but nearly all I went there for couldn't be found even though it says online that it's in stock. This isn't the first time this has happened. If you are after something cheap then this could be the store for you. Kmart is not a store of quality. As the staff are so few you are typically on your own to find anything.

This store has improved over the years. I think the quality of goods is better and good value for money. Worth popping in here to check out new season specials.

The new kmart in Napier- was ok, lots of empty shelves similar to Hastings- will be great when fully stocked i would think

Better shopping than The Warehouse and the Cafe is finally user friendly except for the fire exit door having tobe used which causes cold air to drift in and also l would suggest the kiosk for keycutting in the middle of mall should not be there as there is no flow through when people are lining up at wendys so maybe a few cafe tables and seating cld be better or wendys tables for sitting down

Great store except was low on stock so had to drive to Palmerston Nth to get items we wanted.

Recent changes to the floor layout are somewhat baffling, making the store feel like a bit of a "flash store in an otherwise unused huge warehouse". I'm likely to review the rating I give this location when the moving about is finalized. If you stand by the doors, you can hear the locals chanting "I don't like change!" ;)

Cheaper for family household products.

Was not impressed with door person asked for directions for a specific item given vague directions ... either over far wall to right or extreme back of shop. With limited ability to walk struggled to both areas wasted my time. Surely if your on door as security a knowledge of product whereabouts should be expected.

The key cutter in the mall replaced batteries in two watches..very quick.and very pleasant .reasonable price as well.

Ok. Don't like the new set out. Woman's clothing choice has dropped drastically. Not much choice at all. Children's choices good. Got some nice childrens clothes but went elsewhere for my needs.

Kmart is such an amazing place to shop. The prices are great and the staff are so different from the judgemental retail assistants that can be found in many stores in this day and age. Quick, casual and relaxed shopping can all be found within this trendy but affordable shop.

It s a Kmart. It's big and it has sells lots of stuff. Huge carpark and a lot of other food places around it to support you in your dietary requirements while you shop shop and shop. It's always remarkable how similar Kmart's are to each other, once inside it was like we were in the Lower Hutt Kmart.

Staff and Customer friendly and focused.

I think it should have been a destination mall, placed in a suburban location, away from the city precinct. It competes & is too close to high Street shops.

Generally love Kmart but the shelves are empty think maybe it's because napier is opening soon.

Can always find what I want here, and always come out with way more than I meant to get 🙄

Good prices. Still getting used to the way you have to queue there though. It's always so busy! I prefer to have a staff member serve me rather than the self serve.....

Kmart is up there with The Warehouse for lower prices than you can find almost anywhere else. It won't be on everything though, and the quality won't always be acceptable, so be a careful shopper.

Karr is KMart, however tis hard for those stores to get stock. Great selection and value as always.

This Kmart lacks alot of stuff compared to Auckland Kmarts. Since it is the main Kmart for Hastings area it needs to step up with its supply chain.

The product that is sold there are good stuff. But the only let down is the self service machines, there's always a Que, long waiting time and that's since they got them in. Don't know what its going to be like now its christmas time. But I like shopping at Kmart.

Kmart Hastings is probably the friendliest Kmart we've experienced to date. Management you simply have to give your 'meet & greet' lady a raise. She's definately worth it.

Very convenient and cheap shopping for homewares, clothing, beauty needs and so much more. Self service checkouts are a let down but overall great.

Clean tidy shop just like every one a bit short on staff for customer service

Easy to navigate, big enough. Can find cheap work clothes etc. More people than usual for other Hawkes Bay big stores.

Lovely and very helpful staff. I enjoy coming to Kmart Hastings with my nephew's and nieces.

Good service wasn't able to get everything we wanted but that is just the times.

Shopping there is easy, its clean and bonus is Kmart and sushi

Great place with a great layout. So affordable and I always find what I need there, aswell as a whole lot of stuff I don't need but will most certainly still buy.

Very poorly stocked at present

The only market opens until midnight in Hastings. All kinds of goods can be found. The quality is better than the warehouse and the price is lower than Briscoes. Just right.

Grandsons and I hot a great gift for there father for $40. Amazing 4 items. And can't do better then no.1 shoes

Nice big shop where you can get so many different stuff. From clothes, to sweets, toys and Christmas stuff. Really nice and cheap!

K Mart is a very easy place to be Shoplifting in; Not like I've done that tho; in fact none whatsoever from me I can tell that it has happened over a dozen of times, coz being in Hastings is a Hotspot of any action of a dishonest kind of thing = Especially in Flaxmere Too Getting back to Kmart you'd be able to do your Shopping experience with pleasure & the people who work there definitely help you with what you need to know And they'd help you with what you need to know & Serve you that way, they even have Self Service Pods Too

Very typical KMart, stock all over the floor, stressed staff but plenty of bargains. The car park is a nightmare, way too small and busy.

I like to shop at kmart. Also because the quality of product they provide is much better than warehouse. Sadly there is no Kmart in Napier so I have to drive up to hastings to shop at Kmart

Newly renovated K Mart presents a great range of clothing at good prices. The store looks great and it's been great to spend time with my family doing Christmas shopping at K Mart. Hastings.

Good range and tidy store. Didn't have everything I wanted but after Xmas it's to be expected. Overall really good.

I had to line up and go round before I could find what I was going to buy. A special in store was even better. And replaced a Christmas pressie come clothing .

It's great, it has cheap stock ranging from all sorts of things for the household, personal items, etc. My only issue is the lack of staff, simply because I think theft could be rife.

Had everything I needed and wasn't too busy so no long queues to pay today.

Very helpful staff and a nice clean place to do most clothes shopping! A handy supply of household goods are also available here.

Its a nice place to shop, went there looking for a solar phone charger, but it was out of stock.

I was in number one shoes. The plaza is very nice. Plenty of parking and easy access to the shops.

Good place for shopping home and clothing not that expensive same model use for the Kmart I have visited eg st Luke's, hasting, Palmerton north layout I find much better than the old layout and staff are helpful , point u to the right direction in the store.

Good for a wander, cheap price, sometimes not the best quality, but Kmart doesn't try to be more than it is

I really like how late Kmart is open. Having it close at midnight is super handy.

Good covid systems in place easy to understand, some stock is running low but that is to be expected with covid. Polite staff,very helpful

Huge queue to get served hope the think up a better system before Christmas but great staff.

Generally clean store...not as much on the shelves, due to covid, but can always expect very affordable goods.

Clean open layout. Can almost setup your entire home from this store. Just not keen on checkouts in the middle of the store but a common theme.

Decent array of everything. Especially after the recent renovations and remodeling. Odd placement but staff are happy to point you in the right direction.

Kmart have so much specials and all the gears for a mixture of things only downfall is they dont have alot of babies clothing both boys and girls.

I really enjoy Kmart go there at least twice wkly they have a lot of variety n the prices are very reasonable

A huge store with plenty to choose from. Modern self check out facilities are here in case the staff are Swamped at check out. Helpful too.

K mart is one of my favourite places i shop there regularly and in a survey it was found that there product is more humane then the likes of the warehouse which i found interesting

The store layout and products are almost identical among all Kmart stores, nice and clean ambience.
