D. M.A handy store that always has a sale on. Some really great products that can be quite cheap. Really good brands and well worth going to stock up on everything in your house. It's surprising what you can get when there's a sale on
B. C.I definitely prefer to go and pick before I buy. Trying the click and collect was a fiasco. That being said I still like to shop at Briscoes lots more product well sectioned and presented, no narrow crammed aisles. Bliss

t. w. a.Lack of communication between the staff.
I was processing the return for my bean bag cover. it leaked but it was already full of bean bag refill. and the refill is from mitre 10
and I had nothing to put out the bean bag refill. so I decided to call Briscoes, I thought they might have a solution. long story short, Briscoes Invercargill called me back and asked me to bring the whole thing to the store. and one lady came to serve me and said “we cannot replace the bean bag refill as it is not from us” many times. and I also answered, “I understand about that, based on the phone call I have to bring all of this to do the return” many times. And she ended up saying “you should move the bean bag refill from the old bean bag to the new bean bag here”.
I was confused because I did not bring anything/prepare for the replacement in store. So I was quiet and thinking how can I replace that in Briscoes store with nothing. Then she called Jacqui. and Jaqui sorted it out. 5 stars for Jaqui . hope I spell her name right.
p. o.We have been away from NZ for over 7 years and have forgotten what Briscoes was like. This was a nice reintroduction back to the "Always On Sale" pricing of Briscoes. You gotta wait for the right moment to get what you want at the right price, so patience I'd definitely very helpful.

M.Usually good quality products but wait for a good sale for better deals. Store is clean but aisles can be very narrow and difficult to manoeuvre a wheelchair down - need more space if using a wheelchair or walker. Staff are friendly and helpful, but can be hard to find when store is busy (more so when a sale is on). Mobility wheelchair parks provided either side of main entrance, for mobility permit holders/members only, plus Briscoes have a courtesy wheelchair in store, if needed. Would have given Briscoes 5 stars if they had more room in their aisles, especially to down move down to access the shelves and products from a wheelchair.

P. A.The shortage of staff amplifies the lack of customer services. Also I know its cold people but can we at least smile?
A. J.Briscoes seriously need to mark the prices properly you like some products so much and price looks great but at the checkout it doesn't say the same story, so don't waste time by thinking its on special, they have simple answer someone might have kept it there but your time is wasted. Otherwise you can get reasonable household stuff and have amazing deals on weekends.

M. G.In the past always been happy with the service here (hence still a 4 star rating) on this occasion however I was dumfounded.
Went in to buy a big outdoor umbrella, they didnt have it in stock, understandable big item and all.
But rather than take my payment and say "we'll call you when it arrives", they said you need to go online and purchase it from a different store in the country and get them to ship it down...
Really, are you that keen to send business away to another store, or that confident that I wont go down to mitre 10 and buy one there that you would let a person holding their card out walk away without securing the sale ?
As I said dumfounded...
C. U.Great place to shop, especially when they have deals on! Staff are friendly, but quite often hard to find on the floor. The quality of goods is more than decent, and long lasting! Would highly recommend!

K.I don't think they EVER sell anything there art retail prices due to them forever having a sale on everything...lol plenty to choose from. Easy clean and clear layout . Loads of everything household but excluding a kitchen sink. Great bargains, got a new 4 slice toaster...fantastic at 60% off. So if you seriously want to burn some moolah.... then head on down to Briscoes.... would be rude not to.
A. (.Great coffe, the store is very unique inside, i loved it.
As it was lunchtime we were served quickly, waited 10mins for our coffee, then one person of our group got thier pannini whilst the rest of us sat waiting for our food, 10mins later, after coffees were finished, our cakes arrived.
Other than that the food was excellent, homestyle baked goods and great coffees.
Definitely worth a visit if passing through Riverton.
A. B.Everything I wanted was discounted. Staff were friendly and efficient. Some products are becoming lower quality than I would expect for Briscoes though e.g cheap and plastic stuff often seen in dollar stores
