Reviews of Motueka Sunday Market

I Love this vibrant Market, locals and visitors alike can enjoy local food artisan goods and crafts. Such a great place to grab breakfast coffee and browse on a sunday morning.
I.
It's still one of my favourite markets. A relaxed Sunday morning with great food, interesting craft, local produce and more.
S.
Good variety of things to look at from touristy stalls to your local favourites here. One man brought his bees with him to show off his local honey. Don't worry the bees are safe. Lots of stands to get a light drink or snack. Family friendly and a good time.
C.
Pretty cool 🥰 I had the very beautiful Chinese food there.
C.
Small size, but gods crowd, the Argentinian bbq shop is absolutely the highlight, no questions on that! The other food is just okay.
E.
A great local market with produce, local meats and cheeses, and plenty of food trucks with many cuisines represented. Lots of local artists and crafters as well.
J.
July 2020 after Covid 19.
Lots of people out on a lovely sunny winters day. Our MP plus fairy village organizer. Green men and stall holders. Music from Vanuatu. . Great morning out.
Well done Motueka.
C.
A small number of stalls. All were good. Hoping it can grow back to pre lock down
M.
Lovely little market ....plenty of food stalls, take home produce and nicks and nacs.
A.
Not as many stalls these days.... Probably lost out to the Richmond Market unfortunately.
Still a great wee market
R.
Nice to see so many stalls.
And different products.
P.
We love going to this market on a sunny day. There's always delicious foods to buy and interesting crafts to look at. It's a good place to buy fresh veges too. We combined our day at the market with a walk around the Motueka estuary. It was perfect.
M.
I purchased a copper magnetic bracelet at the Market
The seller originally designed it as an arm cuff for the Monk in The Legends of Monkey King and her stunt doubles
L.
Lovely place, friendly locals! Highlight were the Bavarian sausages. Got recommended the Bratwurst and definitely looking forward to em. Had the Knobliener which is a spicy garlicky variant fresh off the grill all for 6 bucks! Definitely come down if you're in the area on a Saturday
R.
Great Market to shop at. Really Nice jewellery and food, very relaxing atmosphere. If you are around on a Sunday morning, it's a must do.

Bit quiet this week. Bad weather. But normally a great place to enjoy a morning buying and learning new ideas. Good food and coffee and much more.
C.
Excellent produce and very friendly
D.
Not as big as the Nelson markets certainly, but with it's own charm and some unique stalls. Lovely choices for lunch treats too.
m.
Great market. Such a wonderful array of food, fruit and veg and crafts. Very busy cos lots of tourists and even some young hippy type people about-brought back memories of music festivals in the 70's. That would be great to have there, didn't notice any musicians or buskers.
P.
Great day, but lots of fruit was rotten, some stalls way over the top with pricing their goods, but general ambience showed a happy atmosphere, full sunshine & helpful generous people
S.
explore what motueka is instore for your fancy... from the pallets to the homegrown vegetables local growers, the days gone by treasures, at the very competitive prices, something warm the anchorawool shawl is not to miss.
J.
A busy and interesting market. Lots of handmade goods mixed with new and second hand. Really nice food stalls including chirros, cheese, pulled pork rolls, dumplings, bacon burgers and even hemp burgers! No dogs allowed, and there were various live musicans scattered around. There is also a cool wee park beside it with a kids playground and seating. Well worth a visit :)
J.
Awesome bratwurst at Bratwurst Grill. Worth the trip!!
K.
Rain or shine always fine and welcoming good covid compliance 🙌
T.
We loved to go the Sunday market. There is always fresh vegetables and fruits and local art and stuff. It's always worth going for a walk through the market. Nice atmosphere and most of the workers were super friendly. We enjoyed also snacks from the great food trucks.
J.
April2021: a stroll through the different stalls, almost something for everyone. Spotted a couple whom I had purchased a bracelet from in Picton about 4yrs ago.. which I happened to be wearing... And they fixed it for me!!
WinnerWinner.
P.
The Motueka Sunday Market is great. Lots to choose from if you want second hand or new. Plenty of very good looking fresh fruit and veg as well as packaged food. Also heaps of places where you can get great street food to takeaway and a coffee. Really wanted to give this 5 stars but no dogs means if gets a 4. I'm sure it's a regulatory thing but for mine it doesn't matter and our well behaved friends should be allowed.
J.
Good breakfast and friendly market
D.
The Sunday market is a must do for any visitor to the region. It is a staple for locals as well. I buy all my food from the vendors there for the week. There is such a great selection of fruit, veggies, and other artisan foods as well as products. It is a community hub. It's right next to the I-Site :)
C.
Excellent market, loads of fruit and vegetables stalls. Also have a bakery, flowers, honey, jewellery, arts&crafts, books, kombucha, cheese stall and heaps more. There was a vegan butcher once which had amazing sausages. There's a kids playpark with some shaded picnic tables, parking all around it. Can get pretty busy but it's a great place to visit even for a look and dander if you're not buying
M.
Great range and assortment of stalls. The bacon butties are yummy and guy playing guitar busking very talented
p.
Quite a small turn out today, but sunny and good food. Has a good feel the motueka Sunday market. Lots of room for kids to play & plenty of seating
C.
We love our weekly trip to the market. There is a lot more food selection in the summer time because of seasonality. Playground and large field next to the market for kids to run and play. Good selection of locally grown food.
D.
Excellent market, plenty if vendors including coffee and food. The fresh vegetables were very good and well priced.
I.
We went when it was a full summer market. HEAPS of stalls from fresh fruit and vegetables to handmade soap. Great coffee and food caravans too. Some eftpos available. Easy so spend a couple of hours browsing.
H.
Excellent market with nice art, crafts, local produce and food. The atmosphere is vibrant and for the size of the town the market is big. A great place to visit on Sundays mornings.
P.
Stop by and browse the eclectic stalls, enjoy the music (some good busking) and devour the most amazingly tasty strawberries... delicious.
D.
Motueka Sunday Market is always a fun place to go to with lots of food and stuff for sale. Always go there to check out items and of course experience my childhood with Mr whippy and his ice cream.
Lots of people always show up and it is perfect for socialising by finding friends and meeting new friends.
Would recommend giving a go if you haven't already
P.
