A. C.We went to the New Plymouth store and bought a washing machine. The salesman Kerry was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and we were very impressed with his high standard of service 5 star!

A. F.I went into photo shop area and wasn't quite sure how to use the kiosk. I was served by Alex who was amazing. Very patient and helpful. He went above and beyond . I only printed out 2 photos that cos a total of 10 c but he treated me as if I was spending $1000.

R. E.I needed a new bed so called in to Harvey Norman. I had already looked at their website and made my decision on a particular bed. The salesperson knew exactly which one I had chosen and I did catch a glimpse of it as we walked past. He had me lie down on many beds and one in particular - I kept going back to. He told me to stay on it for five to ten minutes in my most common sleeping positions. No doubt that was the one - it seemed to know exactly what I needed. He explained everything about all of the beds that he encouraged me to try and I felt extremely happy with the one I finished up choosing. He certainly knows his beds. We never went back to the original one I had chosen! Great personalized service, I often feel uncomfortable when making important purchases. Not this time!
S. V.This electronics store also everything you need to create a beautiful home, the staff are right there to introduce themselves and help you in whatever way they can. We bought a laptop and printer combo , yes it was expensive but everything was explained as to why. You don't want to be having to upgrade and not be able to use your goods only 6 months after buying. The magic trick while waiting was fabulous.

J. A.Bought an appliance online. They send messages for you to say when you are on your way to collect etc and that your item will be ready to collect when you get there. Even with 30 mins notice the item want ready and we had to wait for it. But the staff were really friendly and we have no problems with the appliance.

B. W.I came in to Harvey norman wanting to buy a bed. The sales guy was helpful and found me the perfect bed but there was some miscommunication on payment of the bed which ended in quite a stressful situation. But one of the lovely mangers Angie was able to clear things up and she was so lovely and kind. She also provided me with a huge discount on what I was buying because of how unfortunate the situation was for me. Absolutely amazing service

We went here a week ago to buy a fridge and queen size bed. We receive a warm welcome and friendly staff but i must say that we were so embarrassed that if we leave without buying not sure how they will react. B. S.A couple of months ago I bought a couple of tablets there with a corresponding anti malware spy programme and the office packet. The sale person offered to install the packages for me which took quite a while and even put it on my already bought phone which was very helpful. It took him quite some time but he didn't mind.
On another occasion I bought a whole new set of kitchen white Ware in the January sale. They offered to store it for me in their warehouse until my kitchen was being installed. In the end it took 8 months for the kitchen to be completed. They continued storing it for me for this time although I did get a couple of phone calls during this tine, friendly reminders, always friendly.
I find their service excellent and decided to buy all my electrical items from them in the future for that reason.

So if one has not done their homework and decides to purchase on a weekend, you may just end up paying a bit more. I am sure harvey normans need to be transparent in the price change gimmicks as this leave a bad taste for your loyal customers.

B.Good selection but prices aren't cheap. Like most New Zealand retail shops their specials aren't specials but the new reality of prices. Anything that isn't on special is just a rip off.
S.Furniture, Computers, Appliances, TVs, Cameras, Telephonics - all electrical type goods for personal use and the home. Large variety under one roof. Only issue is when goods aren't in stock, I have always had to wait longer than their initial estimation, often a lot longer
