Took the 8 and 10 year old grandchildren shopping for new clothes and shoes, very reasonable prices. This store though had hardly any toys with lots of empty shelves due to import shortages so had to go elsewhere to buy them toys to keep them occupied during their visit. Also limited mobile phone and electronic products like car phone holders that I particularly went in for which was disappointing but clearly popular and sold out as again empty shelves in these areas in the store.

This place was so busy. Husband wanted cheap shorts for summer and got 5 pairs. The line to pay was long but didn't take too long. All in all got what we wanted no problem.

The trouble with Kmart is that it has everything your heart says you need but until you walk though the door your brain has hung on to control. Then suddenly you remember you needed a new bathroom mat, some dog toys and a snazzy water bowl and some new uniform t's for your staff! There should be an app at the door limiting your EFTPOS card. Love it!

I am visitor from Hawke's Bay. Always clean, good eating places and food court. Good shops. Visited kmart, lady who served me kept calling me dearie or... my dear. I don't know why. Also having coffee with good male friend, I am female. The man serving us assumed we were married and referred to me as the missus...

Love this store. Can get anything you need. Also great opening hours which allows us to ahop without rush.

Great complex. Surprised that they charge for parking after just one hour. We would have stayed longer and spent more. Instead we were headed to Lower Hutt so bought the rest of our shop there.

Lacking some items I was after due to covid restrictions and being able to get stock in. But the workers are always lovely and helpful if I require assistance and usually stock isn't a problem

I love Kmart....shelves were unusually understocked in places but probably more a sign of the times with covid....always love a good session at Kmart got some $4 tees for the kids 😊

My almost product from kmart. Cheap and pretty good quality. Love it. But I give 4star bcz one of lady I think name was samantha European Maori wherever I see her look grumpy always to dealing with customer. hope she can learn basic manner. Thank you kmart

Good if you're looking for clothing, or a supermarket. The food hall has the usual range outlets. Same old, same old. All the glitter, little substance.

Nice, clean small mall with all the mall things need lots of shops and food. Fast and convenient. 60 mins free parking underground.

Lovely staff. Smiles behind the masks. Went up from Kapiti Coast and couldn't have been happier. Great staff. Nice one.

Went there to look for a dress found one I liked and brought a top as well. There are so much to choose by a lot of variety for everyone.

Every store is the same layout but I found this store to be messy, most table aisles were either messed up or under stock, understaffed I felt like I wanted to start folding the clothes on the tables, in saying that I did go in after 2pm, but KMart is still the best shop to buy everything when they have it in stock/can find it.

Not much you can say about kmart, only 4 stars because very hard to find stuff as its messy and staff sometimes don't even know where

The lines can be a little long but other then that great customer service as well as space for strollers.

I was really impressed. Lots if stock, store was tidy, lots of clearance items that were displayed well. Staff at front door very friendly. Better store than my local. Would drive the 2 hours it takes to go there again. Well done to your staff

All you need is here. Great relation price/quality. It has big parking at Plaza shopping center, 1st hour is free. Opening time from 8:00 am to midnight 7 days a week. That's great to early or late shopping. Usually it's tidy and easy to find what you are looking for. The music is nice. Classics from 80's and 90's that I love. A lot of automatic tills. The line to pay (that it can ve long) run very fast.

Cheap, wide range of products, helpful staff, my only complaint is self checkouts, I prefer to deal with human operators

No Hotwheels. Need a restock like all the big red sheds. But otherwise most things they have.

I usually really enjoy K Mart, but this time things weren't where they should have been. For an example I found the pet sleeping pod in near the kids stuff and not with the animal products. 🙄

Really like this Mall. Has everything you want to look at. Real easy to spend a few hours and the coffee was so good. I want to mention Kmart, Rodney Wayne, Columbus Coffee, Skechers, The Minute guys all very friendly staff nice to deal with and made you feel very welcome 🌟

I'm not a Kmart shopper, went there with a couple of chums. I brought a shirt for My husband. He's a bigger guy, I got a size 4XL. I'm still laughing, I washed it and now I'm wearing, it shrunk to a size 12. 😆. These clothes are Made in china. I won't be going back.

Not much to say about this one. K-Mart is K-Mart anywhere isn't it? Different stock, but essentially the same world over.

Kmart palmy is super handy. The shelves are always well stocked and well labelled. I'm there all the time and there's always a bunch of new stuff there weekly.

Went there for homewares and birthday gifts. Got everything we needed and more. The queues are big but go down very quickly.

I'm a kmart lover (prefer Kmart to the Warehouse for quality, price etc) but unfortunately because of Covid there hasn't been much stock in some of the items I needed at the time of this review. There is a worldwide shortage on many products varying departments so its not like this is something new at the moment.

Awesome sale items. Staff great. Shame that customers drop things on floor and don't bother picking them up. Means sale areas look messy. $9 for bathingsuit top and $7 for bottoms. $12 and $9 for dresses!!!! Amazing bargains!

Service and selection of goods relatively good. Plenty of pay stations so while there can seem to be rather large queues of people waiting to pay, the line moves quickly. Let down by empty shelves hurt by Covid supply issues.

Always good low prices here but is extremely annoying getting hassled by the door person asking to check your receipt.. Feels like they are treating you like a thief. Should be like every other normal shop and have the checkouts by the exit to avoid this.

The store is very empty. However the service is good.

Customer service at this store was excellent and prompt. I called the toy section to ask for a specific puzzle picture in my click and collect. I tried calling my local Kmarts in Sydney multiple times to order more in the puzzle series...to no avail. Nobody picks up the phone! Big cities just don't do customer service, or need to hire extra staff...

No carrier bags... and my arms were fill plus carrying a mat!

Lots of good stuff at great prices. We were shopping for bedding and home decor to prepare our daughters home for a showing. Got some lovely cushions, throws and bedware. The staff at checkout were very busy, but helpful. Bright lights and big store.

Almost everything but not quite. That said, the enameled cast iron casserole (4 litre) is $NZ30. It is as good as Le Creuset at+$300

Kmart has a selection of electrical parts and cords and Speakers. Wheelchair accessible entry. Really good selection of clothing and shoes Kmart also has fitting rooms for clothing.

I seriously love Kmart, they're an excellent and invaluable store with affordable prices. Their range of pet supplies and cages are perfect for most companion animals. Anything you'd possibly need, from standard household appliances, to pyjamas and clothes, to stuffed animals and toys, they're guaranteed to have it. I really really love this store, and shopping here is really easy. This is a great place to buy fairy lights, ornaments, indoor and outdoor decorations, and stationery.

Good and affordable products, love visiting Kmart. However, items are often out of stock for a long time and the shelves are often untidy.

Nice large store with a great selection of products, but it was SO messy!!! Maybe it's just the time of year and volume of shoppers, but there were things just dumped all over the store in the wrong departments, and I don't know how long they'd been there, but it didn't seem that anyone was tidying up at all. With the recent change to the central self- checkouts (and therefore less staff needed) maybe those staff could have been kept employed to tidy up?

Staff are very helpful, as this is a busy store it can get messy at times. On entering you cannot miss the staff member checking bags on way out so make sure you have receipts. Although I did not need to as she just checked bag. The checkout system looks daunting but it is actually fast moving.

Visited today and great service! The place was a bit mad as u can expect from this time of year but the staff handled it beautifully! Very helpful and friendly, great prices as per normal. We found everything we were looking for and more, well laid out store too, our first time visiting with the new layout. Will definitely be back for more bargains!

I got a good pair of work boots was the last size 8 got them at good discount and the staff member had to over ride the original price to the discount price an its awesome place to shop

Love, love, love Kmart. There's a huge range of amazing products at low / affordable prices. The store is laid out in a easy to find manner. Lots of variety. Good quality. The staff are helpful and friendly and don't hesitate to assist you when you're in need.

We always find a bargain here, the whole family loves Kmart. The store is usually in pretty good shape, the staff are very friendly.

I love kmart. Yes I do. Actually the only thing I don't like about Kmart is that it is not in Whanganui where I am about to move to. But when I go to the Palmy store I love it. And did you know that their rating for thingymajig is actually quite high. I can't remember the word but it is when they have ethical practices. And now that just makes me feel even better about myself. Drop the mic.

Needed to purchase sports equipment fast, stretching bands, mouth guard and massage roller. Great signage and easy to locate. 10pm at night so very little public around. Great time to shop! Thanks Kmart!

Best place in town for a bargain

The warehouse but better quality!

This is a key place in Palmerston North for shoppers. There are lots of options be it clothing items and shoes to household and kitchen products. It gets really busy at times. If you are going as a group and aren't planning on a big purchase it is better one of you stands in the queue a bit earlier itself so that you can immediately leave once you done picking up your desired products.

Good parking really like the food court. Noticed several e charge parks the small shops were interesting. Plenty of bling for sale with major jeweler there's phone places to buy phone get covers contract s veriety stores well covered. A biggy nice public toilet s.

Great place. Nice and cheap

Kmart is an incredibly well priced store with a wide selection of everything from clothing to household goods. I almost feel surprised to say it but an item or two from Kmart feel like really nice additions to our household! The Palmerston North store is no different, with the added convenience of late opening hours.

Still not keen on the self service checkout and their cosmetics dept seems to get wiped out quite quickly, especially during the school holidays, but they do have a great selection of everything

Massive range of products at unbeatable prices. Although it feels as though they often don't have enough staff on to keep on top of things, as parts of the store can sometimes look like a tornado has swept through.

Variety of merchandise and prices dominate. Don't expect a lot of customer service.. you're on your own. Good experience.

Still alot of people not wearing masks

It looked like chaos, people everywhere. We were about to leave when we saw the checkout queue. One of the staff members, who checks the bag at the entrance/exit, assured us that the wait will be no longer than 5 minutes. And sure enough, when we lined up at the checkout we had paid within 5 minutes of lining up.

Efficient and easy to find products wanted at reasonable prices. Furthermore the clothes last as does appliances, household items. Warranty has been tried twice over the last four years with no problems. For high fashion stuff one might need to go elsewhere in the mall but be prepared to pay considerably more.

Like the items they sell I've always been a fan of kmart but was abit overcrowded for me so put me off going in-store to buy.

Sadly am visiting briefly from new Plymouth and been missing kmart. The frypan I wanted was out of stock but bought a few other things. Queue at checkout a bit long and confusing. You can't see what self check out counters are free to use. And not much social distancing happening.

Very good selection and price, has some good quality stuff ,bought a Camelback for my sons mountain biking for only $19 ,its great and good hard wearing quality! He loves it .prices are so low it's crazy... it's close to underground car parking and good clean toilets and food courts plus plaza shopping, highly recommend having a look around .

Good Variety especially in baby/kids section compared to other Kmart branches! Neat and Tidy. As this is the main Kmart for alot of surrounding suburbs, you would think they would make an exception for the branch to have more than 1 Check Out Area! The Queue during any public holiday and especially Christmas will be INSANE.

Better than the petone store!

Love KMart Palmerston North. Everything is clearly labeled, aisles are wide enough, prices are good variety is fabulous and customer service is friendly. I go here everytime I come to Palmy, for the variety. Wish we had KMart in Masterton.. I enjoy either popping in for a specific item, or browsing the special racks.

Kmart is always good for shopping but where they have the checkout isnt good. The line was so long I gave up waiting. Put my items back and went.

Full self checkout. No checkout operators. Not much staff around to.direct ir assist you. Great if you want stuff everyone else has that is made in china. Good selection of clothes, cheap shoes if you dont care how your feet will fare...

It's a great place to shop for cheap garments for children they have every thing you want you don't have to travel anywhere else i prefer it better than the warehouse.

I am always surprised at the quality and level of design in the products at Kmart. This store is always tidy and has respectful smart staff. I always walk out with at least 1 add on purchase.

We dont have Kmart where I live so it's always a treat! Would have been 5 stars but there were so many empty shelves!

I mean.. . It's K-mart. Not much to review.. baby wipes are cheap. And they only stock clothes for that season, winter clothes in winter and summer in summer. That's kind of weird as you'd expect it to be cheap to buy winter clothes in stock in summer but okay Kmart

Plan to shop here early in the day if you're visiting on a weekend - as it can get really busy. The checkout queue is often miles long, but it generally moves very quickly. Very tidy store, not chaotic like some other chains in this price category. Some great bargains to be found!

They have the item you are wanting, while cheaper, it is not always going to last long as those you pay more for. (So a good stopgap).

Kmart sells just about anything you want like most big stores a lot of the shelves are under stocked because of shipping

Super convenient being open till midnight 7 days a week. Store kept in good order, almost always good cheap deals on clothes to be had. home and kitchenware range good too.

Had stock of what we were after. Great clearance items. Clean & good customer service.

Lovely store but I was a little disappointed in the selection of some products. On a shopping expedition for my daughter who had provided a list of what she wanted from Kmart online many of the items were completely out of stock. I did find a very kind store assistant who helped me out and pointed me in the right direction when I needed it. I would definitely visit again hopefully the shelves will be refilled by then :)

Que for checkout is always far too long, check out isle lined with tons of lollies. Understand this is a marketing plan but people these days cannot control their kids and screaming ensues (not nice for other customers). Be nice to remove the temptation all together.

It's a good stop for budget shopping. The products they sell are of good quality and prices are reasonable. They have a good collection and one could find products of wide variety from clothing to household items.

Kmart has alot of variety but the place is terribly crowded....this can be considered a great thing, but for me I like a quieter shop. The queues were horrendous but managed well to make the checkout wait reasonable.

Really cheap everyday items here. Quality is ofcourse a little lower because of the low price. They have lots of stuff, from kitchenware to clothes, to bedding, to camping items. Self checkout can be busy at times. The staff is also friendly and helpful.

Open till midnight which is amazing. Cheap deals on basically everything you need. It's the type of store that you go in for one thing but come out with a trolley load of items. Has everything you need from clothing to kitchenware to photo frames and decorations.

Beats the heck out of The Warehouse. Kmart has really low prices but their products seem to be of a higher quality and their shops are much more nicely organized and designed than their competitors. I would drive to our nearby town to shop at Kmart rather than go to The Warehouse in our town.

I enjoy shopping at K Mart. I love the array of merchandise, great bargains, the wide entrance, and how light and bright the store seems. I want to stop and look through the clothing shelf, but get overwhelmed with the piles of clothing draped and left in disarray, and I know that surely it starts off prestine and perfectly placed right?

It’s a pretty tidy shop compared to other Kmarts. Mostly find everything in the designated areas however it can be a little painful when finding stuff that usually shows available online (in store only) but they don’t have it when u go in there.

The staff are really nice, however I've found that everytime I've gone in for something that they never have it in stock and that they don't have any on order or coming in anytime soon. Everytime I've had to order online and click and collect is never available so I end up spending more than I originally intended.

Great variety. Would be better if they had more customer service checkouts and less self-service.

Run of the mill kmart really, stock was low or empty in a few areas but store was reasonably tidy and staff were good

Typical Kmart. Floor messy with dropped clothes and shoes. Range is typical with basic household goods. Some good deals so we keep going back.

KMart has affordable cotton shorts, shirts and pants for men and usually in larger sizes, too. Glad to see synthetics have finally gone from casual clothes.

A great range of products at really reasonable prices. Midday the queues at checkout were phenomenally long yet did move acceptably quickly. Staff at checkouts helpful.

I've never understood the new layout with shifting the checkouts to the middle of the store, it means you have to make sure you have your receipt with you as you exit so security can check you have paid, it makes you feel like a criminal without doing anything and seems to have made the staffs job harder. Other than that I like Kmart, it always has cheap products so it's still my go to place for Christmas this year.

Just like every other kmart.. everything you want under one roof, all the clothes u want (except your size 😂) all the toys your kids could ever need/want or wish for.. a good place to wonder around if you have some time to spare..and a good place to buy nerf bullets that you need to replace when your partner rips them up because u shot her with them 😂😂

Great staff, care taken to be tidy. Love shopping here. Beats the warehouse hands down

It missed a 5 star rating because there were so many people shopping there and waiting in line to pay for goods with only one check out, it created a very long and waiting time to pay.

Just great for good priced clothing and consumables bit long for the ques but lovely helpful staff one in particular 👍😉

Better than the Warehouse for mid range quality goods, and with a fully automated check out, K Mart is a great place for household items.

Nice bargains wth lovely new stocks. Just dont like their check out system. Can be dreadful when it is busy or during festive season. I tend to put things away n walk out when checkout is long; Thats the disadvantage. Kmart needs to think of a different checkout system

Everything was easy to find and no hassle at checkout, only criticism, couldn't find any bayonet type light bulbs, but recommend the store to everyone

Not enough check outs and they are stupidly placed in the middle of the store so your searched like a criminal everytime you leave.

Big clean store. Fill your clothes closet or redecorate your home, this store supplies everything. Good range of clothes and love the homeware. A pity it is in the plaza though. A bit of a mission going into the centre of town and having to find a park and go through the plaza. Would definitely go there more often if it wasn't in the plaza, but rather out of the centre.

In the middle of Town, if I visit PNth, and I've forgotten something, I know I'll find it here. Found it to be messy at times in areas,... Clothing, shoes and toys.. Have a dislike for the checkout layout. I chose not to take my receipt from person whom served me, (it was a small item) when I left I got stopped at the door by secruity, wanting to see my receipt. I had to go back to retrieve my receipt to go back to security to get out of the store. Parking avaliable

Cheap and basic. Some quality toys like Lego are pretty dependable but other toys are what you pay for. A good place to go if you shopping list is varied, eg, toothbrush, socks, lamp, giftwrap. Get them all in one visit and see some extreme examples of human beings in the same trip. You're welcome.

You had me at "K Mart" lol. Who doesn't love this store. Think it's my fav, always go there to get specific items and come away with wayyyyyy more stuff. Something for everyone here, great prices and plenty of bargains to be had. Self checkout looks daunting with lines of people but it moves fast. Great place to shop!

Go shopping in Kmart first, it has what you need for the house cupboards is clean and presented fairly well, what its like behind the scenes, not know but the staff seemed very happy. Put grceries in the car and have a coffee in the mall and relax.

Was busy as and I am usually put off by the long lines at check out, how ever, the line moved quickly, so it was a positive shopping experience.

If you want really cheap clothes and household stuff this is the place to go. Bit of a lottery whether it will last a year, but ok if you need something in a hurry. The clothes are pretty disorganised so you have rummage for your size/colour, and items are often unpriced. There are a few barcode scanners in store you can check with though.

I think they are well set up have a wonderful range of things on sale from womans clothes, shoes, underwear. Attire. Mens attire. Make up beauty commodities.etc. bikes and accessories. Baby attire and clothes. Arts and crafts.kitchen accessories. Bedroom lounge.etc. wonderful place to look around. Just have a look for yourself.

Nice layout, good variety of clothing for all sizes and ages, and the sizes are true sizes! Bonus! My daughter brought three pairs shorts

What a messy store with next to nothing in stock. Had a whole shelf of baby jelly shoes, apparently weren't able to buy, lady at checkout took them off me and walked away

I liked this place because very clean polished stone floors tidy a lot of toys games nerf guns handballs clothing silverware bowls cups bedding sheets blankets and much more if you have any questions please ask me.

It's Kmart what can ya say

To me, this is the original K-Mart, it's been around for decades. Still fresh though, looks tidier than it ever has. Ha all of the normal stuff, and it's pretty big, so has a decent range.

Great variety of stock. A pleasure to shop in a store with isles wide enough for a pushchair.Having travelled from Taranaki for a days shopping this was a pleasant stress free day. Well done K Mart

Yea it's ok just another kmart really. Long lines at the self service check outs as with them all. Stock was low but still managed to get all I needed.

I found the shop layout hard to understand. I thought it was difficult to find what I was looking for. I wasn't a fan of the checkouts, all of which were self checkouts in the middle of the store! Just bizarre. They must have a hell of a time with shop lifting!?

Compared to our local store, PN Kmart has so much more in stock and more variety especially regarding baby/toddler range

Kmart is your typical department store. It's spacious so not all cramped in. Love the self-service checkouts.

When you're looking for things you can't find, or kitchen items at a very good price, K-Mart is definitely worth a look see. They have a great range of items at surprisingly good prices.

Was good, just really busy. Great shop, I just think they need to replenish their stock more often being such a busy store.

Adam Sandler's usual charm and antics of childish-humor and gags are displayed, but it takes a turn into the dramatic direction towards the end, which makes it hard to determined what kind of film this is. Click has its laughs, its futuristic-technology-based layouts and even its somber tones. The amount of genre-blending makes it hard to say you can laugh or cry for this movie. Regardless it makes for a fair Sandler film.

I keep spending my money there. Better than some other unnamed department stores here in Palmerston North. It may just have the basics you need, but I have to visit it everytime I go into town.

Didn't spend long as too many ques and limited $'s. Lots of sale, cheap items, stuff everywhere, clothes on ground etc but that's people hunting for a bargain, not the stores fault.

Superb staff especially a lady who went out of her way to ask me if I was looking for something and showed me the different product I was looking for and provided me advice on which product was better.

LOVE!, LOVE!, LOVE Kmart Palmerston North! Low prices for everything you need to live (apart from food and showers obviously 😜) They have $7 tights and singlets, $4.50 canvas flats (shoes) kids and toddler/infant clothing,shoes and a large selection of toys for boys and girls!! They've got electronics such as Bluetooth speakers, headphones/earphones, chargers for almost every device and so much more!! I highly recommend Kmart to anyone who loves shopping but hates spending too much money ❤️💕❤️💕

Seriously cheap prices but cheap quality probably follows close behind. Parts were messy and staff were almost non existant, but for the prices, it's probably worth it.
